    I have been riding a 2003 Honda Gold wing for over 20 years now and with my increasing age (80), I find it's just a bit much to handle anymore. Plus I don't tour any longer (140,000 kms in those years all over North America) and wanted a bike that is fast, comfortable and easy to ride for the occasional day trip. So I bought a 2006 Bergman on a whim for very little money, and haven't looked back. Added a Clearview windshield , a better backrest, plus an Airhawk seat, and it's almost as comfortable as the Wing. This is very much a fun bike to ride and I really don't miss the Wing anymore (I sold it the other day and it's gone....). I really feel this bike is perfect for me in every way now for the few years of driving I have left. Only thing different, is you no longer get the waves from the Harley guys but take a guess how much that bothers me.....😆 It's a damn shame Suzuki stopped making this model.

    • @kennuff2
      @kennuff2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't really know, I would have thought most people would have their first service done at the garage then doing their own 6000 which is more or less and oil change, or was any way. Your £209 seems a lot if they haven't done the tappets as the tank has to come off so not doing that make the job a lot easier for the garage. Are you in the uk.

    Great information thank you. Does the power bank have a brand name ? as previously I've bought a few duds off ebay that are just junk really. Helllo. I have had that power bank years and it has been very reliable. However I lost it on a motorcycle ride then found it two hours later on my return trip, it was in the middle of the road and dented to hell but it still works, The name on it is or looks like 'sunnydeal'. I do not trust it now because of the damage so bought two others from Amazon they were on offer @ two for about £12 and are called ' Milady'. I made one using the basics of Kens design. Of course the measurements are in Centimetres and not Millimetres and I made mine not so high as I need to strap a 60 litre roll bag onto the back seat and it wouldn’t fit with the back rest at 35cms high. I actually made a template of the metal work by pushing the frame into a piece of corrugated cardboard, drew around it then marked the holes then cut it out, this made it far easier to mark the holes onto the plywood as the metal poles as Ken says ,are rounded at the back and the frame rocks when trying to mark the hole positions. So make a cardboard template and use that for drawing around. I used 12mm ply as recommended but that spare piece Ken had looks a lot thicker than 12mm ? Using a 25mm Forstener bit to make the countersinks I found that when drilling at the same angle as the poles it went through the 12mm ply so I ended up making 2 holes ( still works fine ) For stud jointers I used joint connector nuts m6 x 12mm from screwfix cat number is 83501 . These thread onto the studs using an allen key , much easier than using an hexagonal stud connector and nut. When you cover the plate in leather cloth you will need to make three holes in it so it can slot onto the studs and again when attaching the metal work to the board. Instead of drawing pins I used black upholstery tacks but these were the only changes I made from Kens excellent design.

Use the genuine parts and do it right the warrantee is fully valid still. And I still wonder how many just earwig the rocker cover and dont do a thing. Thanks for the vid👍. Test rode this and the Meteor 350 recently. Also stepping down from much bigger bikes, I had pre-adjusted my expectations but was astonished at how good they were. Also impressed by the pillion carrying capability of the Classic 350 - I ride with pillion 90% of the time. The suspension was plush - a lot better than some much more expensive bikes I've owned. The brakes I found more than adequate - once I'd started using four fingers on the lever having got used to using just two over the years. The rear brake helps as you say, but with pillion I'm used to using more rear brake than when solo. The engine braking of the single helps too of course. Plenty of colour choices in the range, I particularly like the Halcyon Green.

    Hi, I'm considering purchasing an electric bike for my work commute. I live in Finland and needless to say the winters are very cold. Morning commute could be -25c. Obviously battery is removed from the bike always and not left outside. I was thinking though since my commute is not that long and the battery is integrated into the frame insulation will not be needed. Battery will of course eventually reach ambient but if rides aren't too long I figure it should be OK. What do you think? Wind protection, gatter or frame should plslpe down the battery reaching ambient temp.

      @kennuff2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, good luck riding in minus 25. I have only ridden in temperatures on zero and fell off the bike in the ice so beware. If you are only on a short commute you should be ok. My rides usually last 1.5 to 2 hours and the battery certainly performs longer and has more power left at the end of the ride. Perhaps you could contact the manufacturers and seek their advice ss I really dont know the answer. Ken

      There's always some losses of heat (energy) in cold, and ways to prevent that. Wind covers, usb heating element, xps foam etc, those should give you more range.

      You Should look into making a little heater into the bag so it can keep warm

    Am I the only one who knows that when you park a motorcycle you should always park the from wheel in line with the rest of the bike and not at 45% to it, I don’t know why it just looks so much better, am I the only one who sees this or are there others out there who knows what I’m talking about.

    • @kennuff2
      @kennuff2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose its natural for the front wheel to be turned towards the kerb and I think it looks fine so you cant say you should always put it straight. Remember my bike was on its side stand in the picture. Its all in the eye of the beholder but thanks for your comment.

      Hello keith. I bought it on ebay to use as a small storage bag when I go wild camping. I cant remember the name exactly but it was something like a 'responce' bag' or ' resource ', It was about £10 but well made with plenty of pockets. I strap it across the handlebars on my cycle as well. Hope this helps. Ken

      I dont quite understand your question but if you press the mode button for 3 seconds and within 10 seconds of switching your battery on you will access the settings. Use your up and down buttons and you can scroll through the options. There is one there for 'reset' that you can press. Otherwise I would go back to Halfords. hope this helps.

    • @kennuff2
      @kennuff2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kevin yes you are correct it is a throttle lock, you can get them on ebay for about £6, a really useful bit of kit. The paper is just my notes. The device on the left handlebar is a remote for my gopro so I can stop and start recording at will. this saves me a lot of time in editing later. regards Ken
