Thank you for the video and history. Love these! I've got 620 miles on mine. Had the valves done at 400, changed the oil/filter at 280 (Motul 5100 15w50). Also put in the DNA Stage 2 kit at 500. Otherwise, it's just been some adjustments and waxing it endlessly! Seriously never had this much fun, and I've been riding since I was 10 in 1971! Old Duffers Unite™ Ride Safe 🙏🏼

very nice ride it was good to ride with you, in march i will be getting a halcyon black classic, thank you for the history and cleaning tips. I am short in leg but still hope to ride with touring seat and rack, with in time panniers fitted. will do my running in with trips out from reading berkshire uk, nice with spring around the corner......safe riding
Thanks for the vid👍. Test rode this and the Meteor 350 recently. Also stepping down from much bigger bikes, I had pre-adjusted my expectations but was astonished at how good they were. Also impressed by the pillion carrying capability of the Classic 350 - I ride with pillion 90% of the time. The suspension was plush - a lot better than some much more expensive bikes I've owned. The brakes I found more than adequate - once I'd started using four fingers on the lever having got used to using just two over the years. The rear brake helps as you say, but with pillion I'm used to using more rear brake than when solo. The engine braking of the single helps too of course. Plenty of colour choices in the range, I particularly like the Halcyon Green.
I JUST WANT TO SAY A GREAT THANKYOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE SUSCRIBED AND FOLLOWED MY CHANNEL THIS LAST YEAR AND HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE IT. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL. KEN WRIGHT THE WOLDS RIDER
I forgot to say I was a radio operator on trawlers for a couple of trips using a morse key of course. Soon gave it up though and joined the Police in the early 60's. Ken
Hi Kevin yes you are correct it is a throttle lock, you can get them on ebay for about £6, a really useful bit of kit. The paper is just my notes. The device on the left handlebar is a remote for my gopro so I can stop and start recording at will. this saves me a lot of time in editing later. regards Ken
I've had many fast bikes R1 , thruxton 1200 r and ZZR1400. I love 2 wheel's and I love speed. But I've thought about the type of riding I mainly do and that's town and country! Basically I don't need 200hp! My thruxton r was gorgeous to look at but lots of money. I'm selling my ZZR 1400 and buying an Enfield 350 classic. Definitely not a nicer looking bike even if some of the weld's look like pigeon pooh 😂 and top speed of 70mph. Can't wait to get one 🤞
@@robertcostello9473 trust me, they get better after 1500 - 2000 miles, I've had my meteor since last July and it's got 2700 on, soon be doing the 3000 service and oil&filter I'm planning to switch to fully synthetic oil better life and protection, I've also fitted the dna performance air filter stage 2 and the red rooster exhaust from India 👍🏻😁
May I ask how old you are, I recently retired last April and am looking for a bike for tootling round the Kames at 50 to 60 mph that is lightweight, was thinking of the Ho da cb300, but like the classic look, used to be a biker back on the 70's
Hi Nigel. I can give you a few years then as I am a fit 78yrs. The 350 classic is a doddle to ride so go and have a test ride on one but take your wallet with you. Let me know how you get on. Regards Ken
I'm 61, been riding since I was 10, and this bike which I bought in July, is the most fun I've had since I was first riding! Very easy to handle, and even though I'm sorta Shrek-sized at 6'-4", 230lbs, I am very comfy on this bike! I highly suggest trying one on. If you like the looks, you'll probably love how it works! Good luck, and... Ride Safe 🙏🏼
@@kennuff2 😄 yeah, that's why I say "Shrek". She does just fine! Took a run up Angeles Crest (local mountains) and had zero issues! Most fun I've had up there because I'm not tempted by a 120HP motor and slick suspension. In other words, I ride within my limits happily and with great joy! Ride Safe 🙏🏼
Hello. I was wondering when someone would ask that. It is a remote control for my gopro 3 camera. It is connected to bikes usb usually but on this ride I lost power on my gopro so had to plug that into the bike usb. The remote however has a good battery life, I use it to stop and start recordings so in effect edit my ride as I go along. It saves a lot of time later at home. You will notice sometimes I am pressing it more that once, that is I occasionally dont press hard enough with my gloves on. A great tool though.. Ken

Your welcome, thank you for the great videos. Don’t know why, but when playing the sound only comes out on one speaker.

Afternoon. 👍 Like the ride, couldn’t make out where the medieval village was? Could you mention. Many thanks, David.
Hi David, Thanks, its only the depressions in the ground that you can see, no village I'm afraid. Its on the left at that notice board. Ken

Have narrowed my choice down to the 350 hunter or cb300, poss the Benelli 400 Imperiale, or the classic 350
