I feel ya but to be honest at the moment, Pax Dei it's feels like it's in a early of an early access stage. I just got some friends to play with those weeks and we are kinda disappointed for now, at the gameplay experience, ex. combat, inventory, menu, skills, etc

Pax Dei is a bad game with great graphics. I bought it because of all the reviews on TH-cam were so good. If Pax Dei did not look as beautiful as it does. It would be considered a crap game that would be forgotten. There! I said it!

I think people will be surprise with Pax Dei (if they don't fail at end) when hardcore players would build cities, and markets, so new player can at most buy everything, not thinking how it was created in first place. It was this way even in Eve Online, where people focuse on pvp + kill npc/mobs, and after 5 years, they still didn't know how to create base thing, because they didn't have to.

Let me clarify something for people for say there is no content and ask what we do in the game. If you have no imagination and you need to be told what to do, then this game is simply not for you. And that's ok. It'll soon be 2 months since EA, and me and my clan can stop finding new stuff to do. Currently, we explore the dungeons which are pretty tough, to try to craft better gear, to explore harder dungeons, etc. Then your blacksmith of leather guy has to lvl up to be able to craft those equipements, so you need to farm for them, and maybe in the process expand our forge or the village, then... well it's endless. And we have tons of fun. Yes the game is not finished and misses some content for professions, crafting, PVE and all, but boy I can't imagine the scope of the game when they add (during EA) the economy system, religions system, and kingdoms systems. It's gonna bring the social part of the game to an incredible lvl. Knights, popes, kings, kingdom wars, religions wars... And expansions to crafting and professions, I mean the potential content will be insane. This game is a gem. I love the dynamic here, I love the devs transparency, and the community.

Paxdai is very bad, it’s also not an mmo. It’s like an open world co-op building sim, survival. It fails in all those aspects though, limited building, gathering sucks.

Pax Dei could be great but the game is dead already... even the community managers on discord dont get any updates anymore. Iam sure soon there wil be the shut down announcement.

I enjoyed hearing your perspective. Bering a Sandboxer, i have always liked the freedom, and making up the story behind the world. Pax Dei is provides just enough background to provide a more MMO experience. I feel they have a good blend of the two -- seems you agree.

wait, "let me build my house?" hmm. I play a lot of mmorpg, and i also play sandbox games tho there are games that combines 2 these modes but i don't think an mmorpg really necessary to focus or provide building a houses. you mistaken this like rust? or arc? it doesn't make sense dude. the category of this game is more like GW2 or ff14, not 7 days to die or rust or arc or whatever that introduce you to build houses instead of building you gear.

You got me! Im buying pax dei :) We miss games that are quality based, not quantity and its hard to progress but it feels so rewarding.

If you hold in Alt and then mousewheel up/down it will increase/decrease the speed that you fly around in F7 mode. Hope this helps if you didnt already know. Nice builds!

I'm not interested in this game they pay wall the good decoration blocks behind a 40 to 50 dollar DLC the grind is insane because they have no content every streamer I've seen playing the game has the same outfits on that tells me the outfits are meta and limited so everyone is going to look exacly the same to many negatives

if they want serious PVP feedback they should start with implementing the ability to duel, duels is a controlled pvp combat where you doesnt risk anything, the reason you want it to be controlled is that you want people to analize their combat in order to give feedback, not really easy to do in a "real" combat situation where you risk loosing all your gear not to mention getting jumped by 10 cowards at the same time.

pvp combat - i spent more than 5 minutes at once in the PVP zone after days of seeing nobody and got ganked by 5 folks - two of whom had effects to stun/slow and one naked one that ran ahead of me (I guess their scout?) So i think it's fine. If you outfit yourself for PVP and you're looking to gank people, you can gank people. That's pretty much what it is like in every other PVP game with full loot out there.

Combat and animations need A LOT of work. The current combat feels like a 20 year old game.

The combat system will drive or inhibit this game’s success. The combat is wildly underdeveloped. Pineapple still doesn’t belong on pizza.

I think it's also a nudge to make sure people are spending some time actively PVPing. They can tell what everyone is doing and folks seem to be spending time mining in the PVP zone but not necessarily fighting. If folks aren't playing in that portion it's not getting the best testing.

With all due respect, this is good, but it's clearly just the beginning of the work. It will be impressive when it's finished. You can see that it's only about 20% complete at this point. There's still a long way to go, but it shows great potential.

There is plum recipes in the distiller for plum alcohol. But there were no plums. Nice to have it added.

The mining bug for me fixes when I relog. It's different than the original mining bug. On discord there is talk that they fixed the get on something high exploit and that there are some recipe art changes. I don't think the notes cover everything, it will be interesting to see if anything new has been unleashed in the dungeons.

Plums are used for brewing; apple recipes are not changing.

I was running into the same issue with mobs not taking damage from bows or even reacting. I had to drop both bow and arrows and pick them back up to fix it. Bugged that yesterday. 😂

They increase max stack on a few items according to discord. I'll check this later

How do you feel about this patch? Found anything new in game that wasn't in the notes?

Why would you want to play solo? Is real life too crowded? I play games for 2 reasons: 1. To relax and have fun, 2. To chat with people and have a social life.

how is this game? I see mixed opinions on it. it piques my interest i love the setting but are there enough people playing for actual towns to function? Are there bandits and what not while you go explore?
