Have you seen this new card Lifecraft Engine? Its on Skryfall, 3 different arts. I think I havent seen them in your videos.

I was really hyped for Duskmourn (I love 80s and horrors) and Foundations (I love just classic Magic), for this one not so much. I dont like artifacts in general, I dont like the fact they changed frame from brown to silver on artifacts, I dont like color artifacts, I dont like racing theme and I dont like crew/saddle mechanics. Im gonna skip preordering booster box on Arena this time.

Prediction for start ypur engines: Pay mana to Crew, allowing vehicles to be used on enemy turns as well.

Literally i am not hyped for this set because i dont really like to play vehicles...but i really look forward for others to build some cool decks with this.

"...pirates and vehicles..." sounds like it's definitely none other than Beckett Brass. I don't see Depala getting a variation doing pirate synergies.

Revolt could totally make a cameo. They mention the bloodless revolution a number of times in the story.

7:38 Dude, no disrespect, but they already revealed the art for a reprinted revolt card. Even if they hadn't, I don't see why they'd randomly skip a mechanic. All of the mechanics from Kaladesh and Amonkhet are going to be back, at least for one cycle. That's my opinion.

Army is an Amonkhet original mechanic yeah (though LOTR also used it, it debuted in Amonkhet)

Bloomburrow should be higher imo (maybe even at S?), and Foundations should be also higher (A). But I agree with the rest, OTJ is really solid, and Duskmourn clearly best in a long time.

These don't feel like Universes Within... just alternate art for Universes Beyond -.- Torm, Waterdeep, Themberchaud, Lurkwood, and Tiefling are Forgotten Realms...

Making Secret Lair drops print to demand fixes this problem too but what do we know?

This is no improvement here... they are not printing extra for this. They are simply shifting it to a few select stores

Although its sucks because ive bought a few of these set after market i made sure to get them all foil. Makes me happy that others can enjoys some really fun cards.

Is wotc testing selling secret lairs directly to LGSes so that the website issues and scalping/bots gets removed? I d buy all the secret lairs from my LGS if they would sell them at msrp.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I think they didn’t include a bunch of cards that needed reprints and not just the big ones. Only 13 werewolves, 13 zombies, missing a bunch of human support from the first 2 Innistrad blocks and no curses. While I am glad they finally reprinted Edgar, they also should have reprinted cryptbreaker and relentless dead; two big zombies cards with 0 reprints. Also, while I don’t object to the imports/reskinned cards, I feel that they should have done more; a bunch of old zombie support from onslaught would have fit perfectly in the pack with minimal effort to change the art.

I like it being online, the stores are unable to price gouge a product that they don’t have. 💁🏼‍♂️

Of course they choose the set that is arguably the most close to in universe to start this shit with. The one that needs in universe cards the least, that's the one that they're going to fucking do. Absolutely insane!

I am glad they are doing this. Would still prefer proper reprints within sets, when possible, but this is something -- along similar lines, super bummed about no Walking Dead reprints in INR.

It's not a werewolf deck, but if you build a Voja deck with a heavy emphasis on wolves it mellows out the power level and swingy-ness quite a bit and a lot of werewolf-adjacent cards work with normal wolves - that's probably the closest I want to get to trying to build werewolves in edh

This is a step in the right direction, but they need to make a regular border version of these (and all) in-universe cards for them to really right the ship that is Universes Beyond.
