Wishing you and Shanda the very best.
I've seen Robert Indiana's Love quite a bit (like with the Lego) its a great design and great to hear more about it. Princess Anne isnt married to Mark Phillips (all 3 of them divorced). ww Well done Edward and Sophie for lasting 25 years. Happy Birthday Shanda
@@martstar1 yes some tragic marriages. Thank you and good luck
Greetings from Indiana. I used to work in Indianapolis and drove by a Odd Fellows meeting building on my way to work. The news station here ran a story about him last year. Of course it was filmed in front of the LOVE sign he designed. The reporter's name was Shanda I think. Great video and sending some Hoosier hospitality. 😊
@@KevinYeryar well than this video was a little bit of home grown talent. You may be right. Lol Good luck
Old Hippie art student from the 1970s here. Robert Indiana is one of my all time favorite artists. Thanks for the art history lesson today. I always buy the LOVE stamps here in the US. Just got the new ones with art by Keith Haring. I'm planning to make & send Valentines this year. How wonderful for your wife SHANDA to have a Valentine's birthday. Happy Valentine's Day & Happy Birthday, Shanda. ~Debbie ===^..^===
@@kittencreates2785 so glad you liked and could relate with the artist and stamp. Good luck
Great choice for February Rob. I have never come across the name Shanda before, what is the origin?
@@mrsmeringue4307 the story is when my wife’s parents were expecting there was a Time magazine article that my father in law was reading about Mr Lear of the Lear Jet fame. He said when he had a daughter he would name her Shanda so she would be Shanda Lear (Sounds like Chandelier) lol so that is how he got the name for her. Good Luck
Great interesting video, Shanda
@@stephenmccavour6026 thank you and good luck
Happy Birthday to your wife Shanda!

I had no idea your wife's name was Shanda, happy love month for both of you 💕
Thank you. Yes and good luck
Interesting look at Robert Indiana and his art. Great theme for the month, too. Wishing Shanda an early Happy Birthday!
@@KellyPitocco thank you I will pass it along and good luck
Great information about Robert Indiana and his work. I never knew before that that iconic LOVE stamp was based on his art. Definitely something is in the mail to you, but it was quite late getting off to you, but should be there by the end of the month. Happy birthday to your wife on the day. Loved the George VI and Queen Mum stamps at the end. Now there's a difficult (and fairly expensive) omnibus issue to complete.
@@stephenogier7499 a couple more items for the giveaway. Thank you as always and glad you learned something from the video
@@thatdadguy1974 I always learn something from your videos. 😀
Hey Dad guy - great video. Robert Indiana also designed the basketball court graphics for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1970's. Shanda

@@ReneLewis64 i have a feeling we still have much more snow to come yet.
I'm happy the envie I sent has arrived. I have another one to send soon, too. I'm not a fan of Ohio, but it's where I live now. I'm a Southern CA girl, so I never thought I'd be in this place. Anyway...I really hope you enjoy the stamps & will look forward to your next stamp video. Try to keep warm...this cold weather is my least favorite thing!!! Time to start to plan our garden...with the tariffs & deportations because of the cruel administration here, we're planning on growing as many of our veggies as possible this year. Short growing season. Just basically June-September. But we do ok with our garden & it gives me something to look forward to. I love seeing all of the postcards you receive. ~Debbie ===^..^===
@@kittencreates2785 i Love being able to show them all to everyone as well. I used to live growing a little garden but it is a big time commitment but fun being in the dirt and watching the progress of the plants. Thank you
I couldn't have as big of a garden if it weren't for my hubby, Phil. He does the heavy lifting that I can no longer do. But luckily he enjoys the garden as much as I do. America is going to need Victory Gardens again. 🤦♀️
@ it is good that you too can both enjoy gardening

It's amazing postacards. Thank you for sharing and Happy Postcrossing :)
Thank you for watching
Getting old fashioned letters is such a joy:) I keep putting off sending them, though, but should get on that. It's really hard to comprehend that young people can't read script. What the heck? I'm 52. Amazing how time flies and things that were once imperative skills to have become obsolete.
I am in the same age group. Time is flying by so fast and so is technology
I'm 72 and I'm trying to send more snail mail this year. I did that during the pandemic and want to get back to it. And it's sad that cursive is a thing of the past. When I sent postcards to voters in 2024 they told us to print our message so people could read it. 🤦♀️
@ yes it is true less and people can read cursive. It is good that you enjoy sending mail. Thank you as a mailman
Glad you liked the cards I sent! The stamp inside the glossy envelope was used...even though it wasnt cancelled. I glued it on and figured you'd appreciate it 😊 I didn't like to use it as real postage as I thought a postie may notice it was glued on (some of us do notice that lol !)
Best not reuse non cancelled stamps. Good for job security. thank you for the extra stamp and cards
Great mail haul, Rob. Have a great weekend.
@@stephenogier7499 thank you and your limerick will be a part of tomorrow’s livestream

It is a little past quarter to one in the wee hours of a new month :) I had the calendars changed to February 2025, and subsequently popped on to You Tube and your Friday fix :) May you have an enjoyable month of mail ahead, as you have in January gone by (in my case). I am expecting a registered mail at the start of this month, and already got a notification of the same earlier in the night. So I look forward to that, and getting back to the regular way of postcrossing after ages.
@@basilsylvesterpinto10 i hope great things ahead for everyone
I'm triggered by the mention of the country because it's been in the news lately in regard to being a dumping ground for the horrific purge going on in the US of migrants. Thanks for the history and highlighting the importance of Colombia in the world's economy. Lately, I can't help but wish the US president knew something...anything about all these countries he thinks it's fun to head-butt and would have some respect for them. Stay strong Canada! I'm absolutely not wanting to make a stamp comment political...but politics are very relevant when one wants to learn the history of stamps. I know the world has a history of land grabs and conquering. It's fascinating to learn about in philately. Stamps record so many highlights of history. I never thought I'd even imagine a resurgence of that old jazz in this day and age, though.
@@Martha-q8p1b sorry to trigger you ,but I am glad you liked the video and the continuing of the promotion of stamp collecting.
Another great video with lots of history and some beautiful stamps. Last week a friend of mine sent me a box of stamps which had belonged to a friend's father. There was quite a good showing of Australian stamps from the 1960s and 70s, but surprisingly, there were quite a few from Chile, Colombia and Mexico. It was interesting to see what Colombian stamps were in your father's collection and which were in the box. Quite a lot of the same. I guess the next country after Colombia would be Costa Rica. ...and after that Cuba?
@@stephenogier7499 those are very good guesses and what a nice friend to send those stamps to you.
