    Great video, Rob. Thank you.
I agree, Dutch stamps can be quite quirky. The good side to that is that they can be quite fun. The downside is that it can often be difficult to identify which stamps are part of the same set. Here is some information on the Dutch stamps you received.
05:23 This stamp (Scott 678, which is upside down), issued on 4 March 1985, commemorates the inauguration of the Windmill Test Station at Sexbierum.
05:26 This stamp (Scott 683) is the third stamp in a set of 3 commemorating the city of Utrecht. The stamps were issued on 10 June 1986. This stamp features the founding document of the University of Utrecht. The other 2 stamps in the series appear later in the video (07:36).
05:33 These 4 flower stamps (Scott B577 to B580) were issued to highlight the Floriade horticultural show which was held every 10 years. Stamps have been issued for many of these events. These particular stamps are from 7 April 1982.
06:12 This set of stamps (Scott B581 to B584) was issued to raise funds for children's charities. Such stamps have been issued for many years and most recently they have been issued in miniature sheet form. You will recall that you were sent a miniature sheet of LEGO stamps maybe last year. This particular set of stamps was issued on 16 November 1982. The theme for that year was Children and Animals. In addition to the 4 stamps there was also a miniature sheet containing 4 of the 50c+ stamp and 1 of the 60c+ stamp (Scott B582a).
06:37 The next two stamps (Scott 647 to 648), issued on 5 October 1982, are about the royal palace in Amsterdam.
06:41 This stamp (Scott 644), issued on 24 August 1982 commemorates the 50th anniversary Road Safety in the Netherlands.
06:53 Again a mixed bag with these 3 stamps. The first and third stamps are from the children's charity set of 1986 on the theme of Children and Culture. The 75c+35c stamp (Scott B625) is the third in the series and represents children at the theatre (understanding culture) and the 55c+25c stamp (Scott B623) shows children listening to music (experiencing culture). The missing stamp from the set (65c+35c) shows a boy drawing (achieving culture).
The middle stamp (Scott 706) is from a set of 2 x 75c stamps featuring sports. This stamp depicts draughts, the other stamp depicts billiards.
07:00 The Europa theme for 1982 was Historic Events and these 2 stamps (Scott 645-646), issued on 16 September of that year depict various fortifications in the Netherlands.
07:04 This skating stamp (Scott 639), issued on 26 February 1982, commemorates the centenary of the Skating Union.
07:09 These two stamps (Scott 679-680), issued on 13 May 1986, were the Europa stamps for that year, the theme being Nature Conservation.
07:17 These 3 stamps are a bit mixed. The first stamp (50c, Scott 669) and the third stamp (70c, Scott 670) are the 1985 Europa stamps, the theme being Music. The 50c stamp depicts a piano keyboard and the 70c stamps depicts an organ. They were issued on 4 June 1985. The year 1985 was designated as the European Music Year (by the Council of Europe?), hence the choice of theme.
The middle stamp (60c blue with a leaf, Scott 661), issued on 23 October 1984 is described as both 'Business Congress' and 'Manual Industries' in different sources, so your choice. Either way it's to do with business. It would be interesting what the Scott catalogue says it's all about.
07:26 The next 3 stamps are also a bit of a mixed bag. The first stamp (50c Scott 652) is the first in a set of two stamps commemorating the De Stijl art movement, issued on 21 June 1983. It depicts the painting 'Composition 1922' by Piet Mondriaan.
The other two stamps (Scott 674 and 675), issued on 10 September 1985 depict threatened species, in this case the harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena) and the harbour seal (Phoca vitulina).
07:36 these are the other two stamps in the 1986 set featuring Utrecht. The 50c stamp (Scott 681) depicts the interior of Utrecht Cathedral and the 60c stamp (Scott 682) shows the German House in Utrecht.
07:58 These two stamps (Scott 650-651) were the Dutch Europa stamps for 1983, the theme being Transport and Communications. Issued on 17 May 1983, the 50c stamps commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Dutch Newspaper Publishers' Association, while the 70c stamp shows the globe, a satellite and the flags of the member states of ETSO (European Technical Standard Order), which is a set of standards for parts and materials used in civil aircraft and ECO (which is probably a European cybersecurity organisation??).
    ...and speaking of Canadian stamps:
09:06 I suspect this is not so much a sheet of 17c stamps, but a booklet pane of 17c stamps. Booklets of this era often had labels to use up the left-over space. So, for example this is a pane 25 x 17c stamps. to make 25 stamps you could do 5 x 5 stamps, but this is not a particularly convenient format. For one thing, where/how would you fold it? if you have a layout of 3 x 9 stamps (= 27 stamps), it can be folded twice to give you 3 x 3 x 3 stamps. (You may find that the pane has 2 folds in it.) But 27 x 17c stamps comes to $4.59 which is an inconvenient amount. 25 x 17c stamps comes to $4.25 which is much better. But this gives you 2 spaces to fill, so they were filled with messages or advertising. As a booklet pane it would be best to keep it intact.
09:29 The Olympic stamps ($1 and $2) are in sheets or sheetlets, not blocks.
Interesting information about the pre-paid postage stamps.
Hope some of that is helpful.

Hello Rob. Thank you very much for another interesting stamps video. Your subscribers and pen pals are very generous. I really like the dutch selection. I see that some of those are Europa CEPT stamps. It might be interesting to see a special video about those in the future. It is interesting especially after late 70s to see the way each european country postal service approach each topic. Continue enjoying your hobby and giving lovely content. Don't worry about the lack of knowledge about the designs. For me those little ambassadors as I call them are perfect starting points for a journey in knowledge. Best wishes from Cyprus.

The gifts you got are very nice and generous. I liked the New Zealand and island stamps. The Netherlands stamps were interesting. I see Stephen sent you some information about them. For me personally the Netherlands stamps are usually to graphically designed, although it is probably excellent art. Thanks for the video, Rob!

Yes Rob you guessed right about the labels from Lyla.
They were called " Stick 'N ' Tick " labels. They were introduced in 1983 in Winnipeg, and then in 1984 to other major cities across Canada. They were issued on an experimental basis to speed up automatic sorting during the busy Christmas mail season

I was a stamp collector as a kid. Recently I have been collecting the stamps that come on my mail because some of them are so beautiful! I am also a bit of a Lego lover as well. Cheers from the west-coast - who is also sometimes on the east coast (your area) and my husband is also a postie!!! (here on the west coast we have yet to see real winter, no snow yet)
