Hmmm I got the kommados from getting the kill team box with the guards. I am still new to 40k and was wondering if I should get the combat patrol box with the beast snaggas or box with the copters? Would this list still be same if I get the beast combat patrol box?

My family is all evacuated since Monday, I hope everyone that wasn't able to get out at least makes their way to a shelter. Manatee and Sarasota counties are going to be absolutely devastated.

You've done so much with the sprays, three sprays is something id never seen or thought of. I've only got two sets of kill team orks kommandos to do, so this is a fearsome amount. Even doing the three sprays you've done would do "in the meantime" if you're playing with a mate. It's better than grey plastic. Then you can still play. Just a thought. (Oops, i meant two sprays)

3rd and 4th editions are by far the best! As you mention, having a pretty much full index on the rulebook itself was absolutely great (WHFB 6th edition did the same), but my absolute favorite is 4th, mostly because the book introduced the first incarnations of Combat Patrol and Kill Team (this last one was a completely different beast: an elite squad vs hordes of chaff, super-fun!!) and it's a great rules and hobby book overall, easy and fun to read, well laid out. Great video mate, keep 'em coming!

Thanks for a video from the heart. Its raining in Tampa and tropical storm force winds starts noonish. Will see who has power come Thursday afternoon. Folks right on the coast in serious danger. Could be two or three times Helene in storm surge. Reminds me of 2004 when Florida got 4 storms in a little over a month. American Red Cross is great for donations.

Painting an army is a challenge of it's own. I'm noticing that my beastsnaggas are gathering dust because the task of painting them is too daunting at the moment. I'm currently more focused on painting a display piece for a competition and it's coming along nicely. However I did paint an Age of Sigmar spearhead recently for a friendly tournament. My confidence in painting is getting stronger again and I think with time I'll be able to get back to my beastsnaggas. These periods of painting drought come and go, but every time I pick up a brush and do some painting I'm reminded of how much enjoyment and relaxation I experience while doing so. Waaagh on!!

We all play games in the grimdark future, but real life can become grimdark as well. Especially when forces of nature are involved. The hurricanes are in the news over here in the Netherlands as well, so it’s no small weatherfront. I get you dedicated the video to this, it’s a great gesture. Hope everyone affected will be fine.

Another great Orktober video. I learned a few things about painting Orks and I'm more inspired to get my Beast Snaggas assembled and painted. I've been putting them off while I paint up several units of Ork Boyz. We are experiencing some amazing weather in the Midwest right now, so once assembled, it would be a good time to prime them outside. I may even break out my airbrush to get them painted.

I need to see some more examples of this thing painted up... it's maybe the first time I've ever looked at a 40k model and thought "I think that's a good, maybe great, model, but I hate the official paintjob too much to be sure."

Very interesting video. I actually think your second attempt was very good and has a cool orky silhouette. If you are feeling brave you might be able to improve the detail level by taking a craft knife and carefully scoring intersecting straight lines into any larger areas of bare plastic, so they read as areas of welded plates. You could also use a sewing needle to make scratches and indentations to indicate texture and damage. Just an idea.

I remember having lots of fun with BFG, but those battleships tipped over and broke in half. Maybe 3D printed stuff is way to go here instead of bits. Maybe Tyranids could use bits easier…

I can't believe Shapways is gone. They were great for shoulder pads and bitz. I did a quick check of Vanguard Games. They still produce Orks troops and vehicles for Epic 6 to 8mm scale. I hope this helps.

I’ve really toned down my excitement/hype for new releases of GW. The FOMO was really getting to me, so decided I will only order new stuff when I’m ready for it. Eventhough the new Ork Tankbustas look really cool, I’m kinda glad that I don’t like the terrain that comes in the box, as well as those Ratlings don’t excite me much. So skipping the big box, but will get the Orks when I come across them seperately.

This was a great video! It had it all. A bit of history/story time; a bit of brain storming; some building; some failure; a retrospective; and some advice. Great stuff! I liked what you were able to pull off with the bits. But since you are also into model car kits, you might want to have a look a small scale cars, or maybe even tanks and planes. Getting the feel of scale right is what makes or breaks the immersion, however it’s all still a game and with some imagination most things will work.

Tuska Daemonkilla is a model we need, really liked the lore of him. But if i would be in charge of GW i would retcon everything after 999M.41 and pretent the primaris and ultrasmurf wakeup never happened. What kits is involved, i would spread the love to all armies, not just space marines all the time, get big on the army flavour, think chaos 3.5 edition and such for all armies. Basically i would just go back to 4th edition with 3rd edition codices updated for it without losing the flavour that was in 3rd.
