I'm glad they changed the crappy design since mine broke. Mine has a cast aluminum extrusion holding the channel to the steel tube. 2 years in it snapped when unloading 140 miles from home. Luckily that Sunday I got ahold of a shop owner and with some angle, plate and U bolts I could put it together.

Great video. Can I ask, how do you hold the flywheel from moving while tighten the flywheel back up?. I can undo it with a impact driver but tightening back up to 70nm is not so easy.

Nice. Here I wouldnt dare have a propane tank outside the vehicle though. Too likely to have some dear little person release the gas or just walk off with the whole tank at best or decide to set it alight at worst.

I love how all these people call these things.Campers, it's a truck topper with a tent on top.I'd just buy those two things less than half the price...

That looks like an inside installation type tank as the hot air just blows out rather then having it vented and to keep rain from getting in. I got one for my tiny house. It works well but the fitting sizes on some models can make things complicated.

Good review, I just bought one of these the other day for my move to another state hauling my YZ 250 with my SUV, I think it will do well, decided on the 600lb carrier, I figure if it's made for a heavier bike then it will suffice for a lighter bike. Nice Jeep and EDC camper, I just might have to look into that setup, I'm diggin the orange.

this is the most in depth video i've seen on the harker edo so far. they should be paying you residuals on their sales! one question i have though is related to a third brake light on the unit. you seem like a very thorough person, so i thought you might know. i asked them about it and they made me feel like no one else has ever asked about it. i mean, the third brake light has been a federally mandated requirement since the late 80's or early 90's right? do you have any suggestions?

I bought this carrier today. I have a 2023 Honda xr150 and this carrier (for me) is SKEYCHY. Suuuper wobbly. I haven’t actually drove with it yet but when the bike is up there, it is really really wobbly. I don’t know if maybe I put the “hitch stabilizer” on incorrectly but DANG she wiggles.

I had a real hard time with the lower bolt. The cables are in the way too much and bending them to make room could be damaging to them. I ended up stripping the lower hole somewhat. Himiway's version only uses the top bolt with a couple of pads to rest against the controller, they are more expensive but I wish I went with one. Either way they are overpriced.

A lot of the strap "clips, connectors, d-hooks" look very similar to ones that I have used in the past. If they work the same they may have a tendency to loosen and sag over a ride. I've made it a habit to put a knot in the strap below the clip to hold its place.

My concern is if you have to brake in an emergency the heavy bike is going into the tail gate.

Should the bike to be in 1st gear to prevent the flywheel from spinning when removing the nut?
