Be careful of these, just seen another video, and in the reviews, a fish-keeper said he had one and it started shocking him after 6 months. The manufacturer swapped it and the same happened to the replacement. I would check the fuse and plug if it is possible. Then monitor the usage. - I also think they are designed to help clear the water and not growth on decor etc, so any one buying this for growth, then it may not work. However, for green tanks it should work. - You can also build a DIY polishing filter (I use old cola bottles/salad dressing/Water containers rinsed and cleaned out, then drill small holes in the sides, add an airline and some white filter floss) and connect that to an air pump! Then run it a couple of days each month and that helps clear water as well! - I have 600 plec in a tank and over 1000 shrimp and run 2 sponge filters and the DIY filter and it has never gone green in more than 10 years! - I run Yorkshire Bristlenose on FB if you ever want to drop by buddy!
