i recommend watching some MD fish tank tutorials.. plants need substrate that has nutrients and capped with sand to avoid ammonia spikes. Your substrate sand is inert, therefore your plants will have a harder time and starve for nutrients.
Actually right now with this substrate my plants are growing very well
I don’t have an ammonia
More dirt more plants no light upgrade + less chemicals also less work and more money in ur wallet.
the dirt will breakdown the poo and turn it into natural bacteria and the plants will provide oxygen and for them heaters aswell as the issues u mentioned water also tends to leak in over time and fill ur heater with water so get a second thermomotor to get an accurate reading and then set the tempters from that and glue with aquarium safe glue at the top of the heater or keep it at the line u see at the top of the glass so water doesn't seep in because who knows one day ur fish could be fried. its happened to me!
That heater is fully submersible
I remember when I was 8 years old when heaters had a line and weren’t fully submersible
Thanks for the advice tho
i know they are submersible im just saying things can fail and water can get in from the top@@Fish_tank_king
Haven’t had bat issues yet
