How this innovative treatment helped Fleury’s Long Covid recovery
Long Covid recovery with HBOT Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
After Fleury caught Covid not once, but twice, her health was at rock bottom. She was experiencing extreme tiredness, breathing issues, sleep problems, cognitive difficulties and was spending 20-22 hours a day in bed.
Desperate to turn her situation around she began searching for treatments and discovered a clinic in the USA that specialises in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). After completing four months of treatment she began to see improvements which continued after she returned home to the Netherlands.
After 2.5 years with Long Covid Fleury finally regained her life. A year later she has maintained her fully recovery and is keen to spread awareness of how HBOT transformed her life.

❇️ WHAT CLINIC DID FLEURY USE ?
Fleury was worried sharing the name of the clinic in the video May make her recovery story seem like an advert for the clinic, which it is not. If you contact her via Instagram she will be happy to share details of the clinic and answer any questions you may have.
This is part of a series of videos discussing long haul Covid symptoms and treatment. People share their experience of Long Covid functional medicine, long Covid recovery using neuroplasticity and reveal new Long Covid treatments. It is an evolving area so we try to keep up with the latest Long Covid news in the hope scientists will not only discover a treatment for Covid long haulers but a treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome too.

I LOVE EFT! I’ve found it sooooo helpful for processing emotions and trauma. Gentle yoga has helped me a lot too - only at the right stage of recovery though. So interesting how different things work for different people. The major thing that’s helping me to heal is nervous system regulation, brain retraining, somatic experiencing and trauma healing. I did CFS school programme and it helped a whole lot, alongside somatic experiencing and IFS therapy. Also, nature, grounding, sunlight, balancing my blood sugar, bucket loads of self compassion and acceptance (I love Kristin Neff’s work), developing a strong sense of my true self, setting boundaries, not pushing through when symptoms are high. Watching recovery stories - especially Raelan Agle on TH-cam. I love Dan Buglio’s daily videos here on developing a sense of safety with symptoms. I think we all have to find our own way with this, but there seems to be some common themes 💚

50mg wont do anything xD You need at least between 300 and 500 mg. Also, if you have heart palpitations, you are probably having electrolyte imbalance, you should supplement with magnesium, increase salts and potassium, that will most likely make the heart palpitations go away.

Can most severe mental illnesses and severe insomnia also cause chronic fatigue syndrome? I have generalized anxiety disorder, depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and insomnia. All of them are very severe. I can go to sleep throughout the night and wake up not feeling well-rested. I constantly feel tired and have had a headache and brain fog for about 1-2 months. It's harder for me to complete my daily activities, read books, and so on. Right now, I am taking a new sleeping medicine called Lunesta. It isn't working at its lowest dose. It's really frustrating to deal with so many medical adjustments for my mental health and insomnia. I find reading to be one of the hardest things to do because my brain can't function properly at all.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I will preface my advice by saying I’m not a medical professional, Dr Curtin was guesting on my channel. I have had ME/CFS for 17 years and sleep deprivation will definitely cause a deterioration of my condition. Several functional medicine practitioners I follow say sleep is one of the key things you need to fix before you can really begin to regain your health. So while insomnia may not be the sole cause of CFS it can definitely be a contributing factor

I’m sorry to hear you are struggling. Unfortunately it is a common problem that tests come back saying nothing is wrong yet we feel really ill and something is definitely wrong. I have found online support groups can be helpful for learning management strategies and sometimes finding out what tests may show up some issues

I’m not sure. I think my nervous system was on overdrive and the theanine helped calm it down

I'm concerned about the profit motive of pharmaceutical companies that produces vaccines. I don't want to support an industry that prioritizes profits over people's lives.

The pandemic also exposed weaknesses in our global response and preparedness. We were caught off guard, and it's cost us dearly.

I totally agree! The economic effects of Covid have been devastating. It's such a challenging time.

The economic fallout is also catastrophic. Businesses shut down, jobs lost, and economies in shambles.

Absolutely do not start taking benzodiazepines long term . You can become dependent after just a week of taking it every day. It's only to be used sporadically

Thank you so much, Casey. I'm 83 and developed Covid...a mild case the first of March, '24. Around the first of May I developed extreme fatigue (I'd been walking 2 miles per day since a heart attack a year ago) and have been sleeping 10 hours/night plus a couple of two hour naps daily. And definitely brain fog..difficulty making decisions and no motivation. I've been watching medical discussions, but they were so technical and honestly offered little hope. Deep down I KNEW that alternative treatment was available somewhere and you have experienced this. I will talk to my cardiologist before starting 5-HTP etc., but just know that you have given me HOPE and I am so very grateful 💖

I found Visible was way too much hassle. The wearable has to be charged every single day (!), and can't be charged while in use. They recommend charging it while you sleep. This means it can't track sleep, and in order for it to be useful you have to remember to put it on right when you wake up every single day.

I can see how that would be annoying. I have a Garmin watch which tracks HRV and sleep and that only has to be charged once every few days
