Fuel Tanks: Should have done this a long time ago!
มุมมอง 2.2K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
We recently found out someone in our local area will deliver tanks and gas right to the farm. We have a lot of equipment, running on diesel and regular gas, so this is really convenient for us. Gas prices are right at or sometimes less than going to the pump! Our particular business that we use will provide a tank for free if you use enough gas. We are sharing this because you may or may not ha...
Kubota Excavator to Skid Steer Adapter
มุมมอง 1.1K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
We purchased this ATI Adapter a while back for our Kubota KX057-5. We wanted the ability to use multiple implements on our excavator that we could not before. This gives us more opportunity to make jobs easier. It really came in handy when we picked up the Danuser Hammer to drive 6x6 fence post and 20 ft telephone poles into the ground. We enjoyed using this product so we established a relation...

Year 2: No Till Summer Plot, Success or Failure??
มุมมอง 1Kปีที่แล้ว
We have been in a No Till Drill rotation for 2 years, Fall and Summer plots. We are in no affiliation with a company and we are showing OUR way of doing things on the farm. I hope you guys find this helpful. We wanted to give an update on how our summer food plot turned out in year 2 leading into the fall year 3. Check out the video and continue our journey through the No Till Drill practice on...
3-in-1 Food Plot: Keep Deer, Fat and Happy, All Year Long
มุมมอง 316ปีที่แล้ว
We established a stand of Tecomate Monster Mix Clover in one section of our field and a Summer/Fall, no till drill, stand on the north end. This allows us to keep food year round for wildlife. The deer, turkey, and various bugs love the clover and give the normal no till crops better yield when it is time to grow. We have seen the most deer and turkeys on our property this year due to the amoun...
DIY 40ft. Bridge Build Across A Creek
มุมมอง 12Kปีที่แล้ว
The Creek on our property is the lowest it has been in 4 years. My dad and I took the opportunity to build this awesome bridge across the creek. We recently build a road to get from one side of the property to the other and this bridge was the missing link. We are not completely done but the ground work is laid out. If the water rises, we can still finish the build out! Link to Road To Nowhere ...
Expanding the Duck Hole!!!

Hey guys, we are at a stopping point on the new addition to our Father and Son Duck Hole Build from last year. If you missed it, we posted a series of videos where we took a low spot on our property to create a wood duck paradise. We had a blowout in our dam and we needed to redo things for 2023. Check out the video on this years build to see the improvements. Leave some comments down below if ...
Road To Nowhere Series: Final Touches
มุมมอง 389ปีที่แล้ว
We finished up our road building project. We used a Kubota MX6000 with Grapple bucket to pick up debris, a Kubota 95 Skid Steer with rough bucket to skim the ground, then finally used a Kubota KX057 Excavator along with Skid Steer to move dirt onto the road. That wraps it up. In a couple of months we will check back in and build a bridge across the creek! We are currently moving the equipment o...
Road To Nowhere Series: Cleaning the Creek
มุมมอง 341ปีที่แล้ว
We recently built a road through our property to make moving equipment easier and quicker. It is called the "road to nowhere" because on both sides there is a thicket, and at the very end is a creek. We will build a bridge sooner or later to get across. On the east end we decided to clear out an area next to the creek for a potential deer field and or wildflower nook. So in this video, we used ...
Road To Nowhere Series: Mulching Stumps
มุมมอง 580ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, Dad uses the Kubota Skid Steer with a Diamond Disc Mulcher to eliminate left over stumps from a clearing job. We also were building a road so we can move equipment across the property without the trailer and create a better hunting opportunity. This area is known to be wet so thank goodness for the 3 week drought for making it possible! Instagram: hunterworks outdoors

Impressive,thank you!
That's real nice!
You wantsomething special, look up "x boom adapter". Remove the stick and pick up tools with just the boom.
Makes sense. Love F1s
Looking to do this with a big grader blade on my John Deere’s tractors and tractor mounted back hoe in a 3 acre low area that a water way comes down between two hill fields. Its to wet to farm in spring. 100 hp plus tractors
Which fish hatchery/company did you source the female F1's from? I'm trying to find some to stock my small pond.
American Sport Fish
PH business model - select a hunting personality, give him a free drill, and maybe folks will overlook that they had to can the tarnished Genesis brand and come up with a new name. Stick with GP/Land Pride.
Great info!
Any plans for this season?
Yes. Just planted golden millet. Starting to show some green
Saw some using a drill ( easier for me ? ) Which is best /fastest kill ?
Then you would worry about batteries and all you have to do is break past the bark. It was easier to use the hatchet. The poison glides down the blade into the tree as well so nothing is wasted
And every single tree we hack and squirted died.
@@hunterworksoutdoors how long does it take ?
We did it in the fall and noticed they were dead in the spring
Using crossbow should I mix with water
I have a PTAC unit. I'm very interested in the thermostat will it work with alex? Can i get the instructions.......... still love your belts still running it on my xp1000 😂
Look up sensi touch
I rented the NT1006 from the NRCS. I could not get the small seed box to work at all. I was able to get the main seed box to drill rye somewhat. When I mixed Balansa clover with annual ryegrass and put that in the main seed box it was reluctant to come out. I kept on increasing the opening size but it barely came out. When I was just about to run out of time I maxed out the seed opening to notch 4. It still took another 8 acres to expel 100 pounds of seed. It could be that it was because it was a rental tool from a government agency that received no maintenance or it's just a piece of junk. I cost me $588 to drag it around 37 acres. I still have four bags of clover left to plant. I will broadcast with a pto seeder into the grooves cut by the planter. Next time I will disc as lightly as possible and broadcast. My NRCS office only has competent people in the office on Wednesday and Friday. Great Plains does not even have a customer service number to serve its customers. They want you to call their dealers. The dealers sell them as a side item to their main business.
I can't say much about this, when I call Great Plains I get someone who is plenty helpful but I can only imagine trying to use something used and worn out and not getting taken care of. While they are very expensive to buy, after two year of use I only have like 10 acres on mine so it still works like new and will for years. Love it.
What thermostat is that? Thank you
sensi touch
What was the total cost
We have no idea honestly
@hunterworksoutdoors ok thanks I'm getting ready to do the same thing
Any concern about someone dropping a male by when you’re not paying attention?
That would be terrible if someone did but they would get caught. We have a dozen cameras on that side of the property lol
How big are they today? We just did the same thing a few weeks ago
2.5-3 pounds. They are very fun to catch and it will be worth it. We caught 27 in an hour and not a single one under 2.5. They put on 1.5-2 pounds in 8 months. After we caught the 27, we put in 8000 golden shiners
Any updates on this project?
We caught 27 bass in a hour this past spring. All weighing 2.5-3 pounds. Very successful. 8000 golden shiners were put in shortly after.
that's exactly what I need for our creek. It's 9 months later have you had any problems with the water flow?
We havent had any trouble. Water rose a couple of times but no issues with bridge
Enjoying the no till journey!
Having 100 females of any species in the same room is a bad idea.
Did you have an exclusion cage in the plot that only had sorghum that came up? The reason I ask is because I had something similar happen. Inside the exclusion cage all of the plants had come up. Outside of the cage the only thing was sorghum. The deer had eaten everything except the sorghum which made it look like nothing germinated except the sorghum.
I didn't, I suppose that could be it but I have live cameras there and would see them eating it.
Jimmy Houston won’t let u fish in his pond if you have barbed hooks
After reading the comments, I feel sorry for you. You've taken on yourself to do all the work, not only the regular field and plot work, but also the extra time and expense of the camera and editing work to bring these videos to hopefully be helpful to everyone. And then, some negative Neds out there reply with criticism and arrogance, and some of which reveal they either didn't watch the whole video, or are really stupid, because you already answered their question in your video. I just wanna say thank you for your efforts. I have enjoyed learning from many of your experiences, and not just from this no-till stuff, but also the Polaris ranger clutch replacement with an impact that helped me. I just cringe when someone snaps back with a comment that seems like they think they're an expert, and you didn't have a clue. Everyone has to start somewhere and go through a process of learning. Documenting your process and showing the good and bad lessons learned is really helpful to many. At least you're trying something, and having the courage to show the whole world, good or bad. I respect and appreciate that.
I appreciate your comments more than you know and I am not big on the neg nancy's that won't watch the video but comment LOL
What is the reason behind the installation of the pea gravel beds, Was it an idea before going to a female only pond Tnx
We always had the idea even with female only. Bream like the pea gravel to make beds in, easier to make a bed. Raising bream is baitfish for the bass and we like catching them on a fly rod.
What area are you in? Looks mighty warm for day after season. Thanks for your effort!
We are in east central mississippi. Very warm
Any one year update on your successes or failures?
Yes, there is an updated video on this
Kx040, how much weight do you think you could lift with that setup and forks - not high just off the ground enough to move?
Just a heads up. A lot of times brush piles like that are used like predator condos. Might be worth burning
Thanks man, we took the advice and did some burning around the property!
Your building a very Cool, Proffessionaly built, functional bridge, you gotta make that road go somewhere thats woth all this effort. I know it connects your parcels of land, just sounds wrong. Thanx for sharing such intersting build techniques. FYI: This is the best built bridge I have seen, on any TH-cam channel, and I watch a lot of build video's. following...
Thank you for that comment. We appreciate it. My dad told me this morning that all he did yesterday afternoon and last night was think about how to build the road up. He will never half way do something that is for sure! When it dries up around here we will do more improvements. Stay tuned for more vids coming in the future. -Hunter
I know you're practicing the no-till method, but do you have any plots that you're still turning over with a harrow? I'm asking because I have a few larger plots, close to 1 acre that I will attempt to no-till this spring -, and I have several small hidey-hole plots at 1/8 -1/4 acre. I'm curious if just a light disc and then broadcast / cultipack to press in. Since it's my first year at no-till , I'm reluctant to try it with all my plots, make sense?
We have a couple new big plots that are traditional but will be converted to no till this summer. Watch this video th-cam.com/video/8ybpTc47a5A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cPyYCCizrRiwxsC8
Can you do a video on the fuel pump and filter set up?
We could but it is just a fill rite 20 gpm 12 pump with a golden rod 1" filter attached, then I ordered the automatic fill rite nozzle with a hook and swivel for the nozzle.
There's nothing more natural to God's green earth than non native engineered female only fish in a pond. So you can be happy catching "trophies". Next: shooting monster decoy robot trophy deer. And how to install hitch nuts.
Looking good
The grownup field looks good for fawning and turkey nesting cover. I like to leave my fields standing until time to plant fall plots. At that time I bush hog them after planting. However, I don’t plant summer plots in them. What about planting a few fields in straight clover and then drill elbon in the fall after the clover gets established?
We have separate clover fields, in all locations we have a video called 3 in 1 food plots. Also, there is a new video on how these plots did this video is on.
I have a roller chopper for heavier clearing so it's basically a heavier crimper but with straight blades not angles like a crimper- Do you think that if I plant green, I could come back with the chopper and cut my oats and let them fall over my spring seed?
I didn't have a lot of success with the crimper and I can't imagine why what you have would not work though. Can do like us, just try it. Bad part is, have to wait a whole year to change it up again!!! LOL Hence our name year 2 lessons.
Think yall have a great channel!!!! Keep em coming!!!
The most beautiful bass to me are the tiger bass. They are the most aggressive as well
I hope you get it figured out and let us know how you did.
great video!! love the channel keep going!!
Great video great information 🤔F1 tigers bass
Thanks 👍
@@hunterworksoutdoors so the F1 bass does not reproduce ?
I’m not sure why you did all that work, just to plant it with a drill. Seems contradictory to what it’s for. I plant my plots(by broadcasting) into stuff like that behind you and just bushhog over it with great success.
Did you watch the video or just look at the thumbnail? The video explains this and why there is a video called lessons learned.
Also, we use the drill to plant on tradition tilled fields too like clover, how else you gonna get 8lbs over a acre?? When you have one , you use it
I watched the entire video.
@@n2trkys18 Then I do not understand why you asked it. We do things a way not the way and this is how I wanted to start this off with a clean slate again. It worked out pretty well for us. Was 14 deer in that exact spot yesterday afternoon.
Wow amesome!
Definitely following this one. Unfortunate to lose the dam last year but you guys are doing well on equipment for the future!
Thanks man. We are going to get this thing right hopefully lol
Looks great. To bad it didn’t work out last year. I’m looking forward to more updates. If it’s an area prone to flooding, I’d seriously consider rice. If you seen any of my videos this year, you’ve seen how easy it is to grow and with the equipment you have, it will be even easier. Good Luck!
I'll have to check out your videos. I appreciate it!
🔥🔥🔥
You need to make sure you culvert is sized appropriately. Even your spillway won’t be enough if both the culvert and the spillway aren’t big enough.
The excess water is going out the spillway and it will be 24ft wide, it will be plenty big. Thank you for your comment. After getting the berm blown out twice, I think we got this part figured out
how do you fertilize with no till? like when i disc I till broadcast fertilizer and then disc the fertilizer into the ground. Whats the process with no till?
Fertilizer really does not need to be disced in, the rain takes care of it. So just on top of the ground. I never been a fan of discing over it, puts the fertilizer too deep in my opinion
I have an MX5400 and use it on 70 acres and love it!
Really Satisfying to watch, great choice of music your gonna go far!!, greetings from Ireland 🤜🤛
Thank you very much!
Brother you should have burned that off the first and second time if needed and saved all that fuel.
It was not literally that bad and fuel is rather cheap
@@hunterworksoutdoors fuel, time, wear and tear on equip. You said yourself you have other acres and things to do.
