Did you have an exclusion cage in the plot that only had sorghum that came up? The reason I ask is because I had something similar happen. Inside the exclusion cage all of the plants had come up. Outside of the cage the only thing was sorghum. The deer had eaten everything except the sorghum which made it look like nothing germinated except the sorghum.
I know you're practicing the no-till method, but do you have any plots that you're still turning over with a harrow? I'm asking because I have a few larger plots, close to 1 acre that I will attempt to no-till this spring -, and I have several small hidey-hole plots at 1/8 -1/4 acre. I'm curious if just a light disc and then broadcast / cultipack to press in. Since it's my first year at no-till , I'm reluctant to try it with all my plots, make sense?

I didn't, I suppose that could be it but I have live cameras there and would see them eating it.
