    Very helpful. Can you explain how to set circularly polarized (RCP or LCP) as an incident wave. In COMSOL there is no direct way to set CP except 1D/2D Axis symmetric space dimension. I tried by setting Background field as (Eb: x=0, y=exp(-j*emw.k0*x), z=j*exp(-j*emw.k0*x)), however the obtained result with this setting and with linear polarization are identical. Because of identical results, I think the setting for circular polarization have some problem. I will greatly appreciate any explanation/suggestion regarding this problem.

      Your expressions for the circular polarized wave in COMSOL is correct, but you should enter these expressions in "Port Setting" of your physics module as electric field value.

      @@EMSpectrumLab Thank you for your response, this works very well. In addition, if we want to change the polarization like RCP-LCP or LCP-RCP, then the equation (Eb: x=0, y=exp(-j*emw.k0*x), z=j*exp(-j*emw.k0*x)), only changes negative sign into positive and vice versa like this (Eb: x=0, y=exp(+j*emw.k0*x), z=j*exp(+j*emw.k0*x)). Is this correct for polarization conversion or we will need to do more in setting?

    • @EMSpectrumLab
      @EMSpectrumLab 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your comment. for "kF" parameter, only "ky" has a nonzero value because the incident wave is in y-direction, and also only x-component of polarization has a nonzero value based on the components of surface current density parameter (Physics 1 Module-ewfd1).

However, I can't find the correct modes using mode analysis (I know the expected mode profiles). When I added an eigenfrequency step, it successfully found the modes. Kazakhstan Hello. Need help developing an invention using new optical fiber “hollow core photonic-substituted vacuum zone or (NANF)” . You can earn a lot of money. The Mickelson-Morley experiment, let's turn it into a school device so that it can be used on a bus or an airplane - this is how Einstein dreamed of testing his theories 100% With the help of the “HYBRID gyroscope” you can make scientific discoveries; in astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, higher theoretical physics,... I am writing to you with a proposal for the joint invention of a HYBRID gyroscope from non-circular, TWO coils with a new type of optical fiber with a “hollow core photonic-substituted vacuum zone or (NANF)” where - the light travels 48000 meters in each arm, while it does not exceed the parameters 40/40/40 cm, and the weight is 4 kg. Manufacturers of “Fiber Optic Gyroscopes” can produce HYBRID gyroscopes for educational and practical use in schools and higher education institutions. Einstein dreamed of measuring the speed of a train, an airplane - through the Michelson-Morley experiment of 1881/2024, and only then would the experiment be more than 70% complete. This can be done using a fiber optic HYBRID gyroscope. Based on the completion of more than 70% of Michelson's experiment, the following postulates can be proven: Light is an ordered vibration of gravitational quanta, and dominant gravitational fields adjust the speed of light in a vacuum. (We are not looking for ether, we will see the work of gravitational quanta) The result is a «theory of everything» in a simple teaching device and a new tape measure for measuring the universe.

    Hello, I'm wondering to know if there is any way to calculate the transmitted electric field, which I guess that maybe it would be easier in time domain. I'm trying to calculate the transmission of certain pillar array structure with CST Studio. I have succeeded with COMSOL but I'm able to reproduce the same results, my guess is that the boundary conditions in CST are wrong. I hope you can help me with this.

      To calculate transmitted wave you should set Zmin as "Open (add space)" boundary condition. Other boundary condition are the same as what I shown in the video.

      You can use different research papers which published in this topic. I do not know certain reference.

    • @EMSpectrumLab
      @EMSpectrumLab 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lambda_g1 & Lambda_g2 are calculated by using the expression which I shown at 01:47 for f1 & f2 frequencies (cut-off frequencies).
