Remember John Peel playing the tape, will always be sad it never got to be heard in proper quality - for me this track in particular is as great as the work he was doing with Killing Joke. I'm guessing Geordie Walker had joined Jaz in Iceland at this point but not 100% sure.

I’m 46 this year. I never really liked or knew about KJ when I was younger and consuming music. I was a big fan of ministry, NiN, RevCo, KMFDM, TKK, etc. and I knew KJ were a big name in the genre, they just didn’t click with me then. I think i had a couple singles of theirs around 91-92. Anyway, I have recently in the last year been absolutely consuming everything available to listen to. I feel like it’s a band I’ve known my whole life but haven’t listened to. Such an unbelievably powerful, evocative, creative band. The arc of their career and different phases and stages is just…amazing. It’s been years since I’ve “discovered” a band I didn’t know of before that I was this enthralled with. How they are not more recognized is beyond me, but also quite welcome. It’s like a secret thing I discovered. Nobody I know in my circles even really recognized the name. On top of that, the influence they’ve had on some of the artists I love is underrated. Anyway, I just had to say that this song is one of the most, powerful, soaring, meaningful songs I’ve ever heard. Simple but effective approach in lyrics, arrangement and instrumentation. It actually makes me cry every single time I’ve heard it. The chorus is spine chilling.
