hi liara, thanks for your lovely comment! i think this would be a perfect camera if you’re new to analog photography. it’s super cheap and takes great photos. as far as how i shot these? i can’t remember if i mention it in this video (it’s been a while) but im pretty sure i shot portra 400 or 800. and i just shot in automatic mode, which again could help for first time users! What did you replace it with, if at all? yes, i love this camera, i’ve been having a lot of fun with it. i agree; the color science is definitely different from Fuji but still cool they allowed the input of simulations. thank you for watching!

I dumped it along with a Sony A7III and got a Leica MP 240. 🤗

all the videos were actually shot on my iphone lol no gimbal. I don’t ever shoot video with the x100v actually, it heats the camera up pretty bad. thanks for watching!

I had an issue with storing and the screen being black for multiple seconds. I moved dials to CL and I am able see the screen instantly now. Not sure if that is a perfect solution but works for me so far.

@@austinwells4209 yes, solved. The hdr mode gave me the issue. I switched it to others and it solved. Thank you

Yes, i read that price today actually. but i was also speaking from a point of the MSRP, which i noted. i understand that the aftermarket for this camera is still ridiculous.

For those complaining about a larger sensor, that is the heart of non-film cameras. Use smaller resolution settings or don't upgrade to newer cameras. I would love a full-frame option. As smartly stated earlier a larger sensor provides crop options. Before cropping you want to frame your subject--say a portrait--a little more loosely, so after you crop in the image looks like a 50mm or 70mm shot.

i agree with you, the average person buying this camera doesn’t need 40 MP, nor will you be really able to tell between the 26MP that the x100v already has. unless you crop that much.

@@robjkim You don't lose anything by going 40mp, it's not like they'll have to spend more. Realistically using the same part across multiple products is much cheaper than having to make a seperate one for a different product. If they wanted to go less than 40mp they'd either need to ask sony to make them a new sensor or they'd have to use one of their old sensors. And why buy a new camera with an old sensor?

Higher resolution also makes noise look a lot more like grain. I love my a7iv's noise pattern, it's very filmic. Instead of adding grain to photos I often just totally disable noise reduction. 24 is far too low for an over 1000 dollar camera releasing in 2024.

definitely don’t think think should lower the MP lol. i just said if that’s that’s not a HUGE selling point but i agree that obviously technology has to get better in any new product that a company releases. Thanks for your input.
