Even though there’s still loads of tread left on my General Grabber Red Letters, as they’re now over 5 years old, they need replacing. To check how old your tyres are, look for the 4 digit number after the DOT stamp - it goes by week of manufacture and year. My Grabbers are 0816 - so they were made in the 8th week of 2016. So there.

About 20 mins out of Dubai is an abandoned series of roads and roundabouts that the desert is slowly taking back. It’s an area popular with photographers, as they can get some great footage, especially with a drone. It’s also popular with supercar owners and off-roaders, for obvious reasons 😛

A couple of 6.3 litre, V12 throttle blips. One day, all cars will be electric. This sort of noise will only exist in TH-cam videos like this.
I swapped my Mercedes B200 Turbo air filter for an old sock!

I couldn’t hear the turbo on my Mercedes B200, so I swapped the complicated factory induction system for an old sock! I just zip tied it on and the result is lots of turbo whistling and a bonus dump valve ‘tishhhh’. Not bad for essentially a free modification. Get in!

Roads look amazing/new, I wonder if putting some barriers would prevent the sand from spilling onto it?
It’s definitely an amazing place! Some parts have already disappeared beneath the sand though. Building on it would stop the dunes, but currently the project isn’t being worked on.

It’s only about 30 mins from the centre of Dubai. Always quiet too.

It’s up on the 611. You can easily spot it on Google Maps. No speed cameras. There’s always a few supercars up there hehe!
