    Are these aromas already mixed and ready to use when they arrive? Or do I have to mix them myself? Is it better to dilute them in oil or alcohol?

    Question. I have perfume oils I wear as is but I’d like to run them into sprays. Extraits. How do I make a 2oz extrait spray? More specific what do I add to make it project and last all day. The oils by itself when I wear last literally all day. I want to the spray to last at least 8 hours. Do I just mix with perfumers alcohol or are there other ingredients I need to add?

    Another correction: the reason the IFRA are restricting oakmoss in commercial perfume formulations is because some people are allergic to it, not because it’s toxic: The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) has imposed restrictions on the use of oakmoss in commercial perfumery primarily due to its potential to cause skin sensitization and allergic reactions in some individuals. Oakmoss contains compounds such as atranol and chloroatranol, which have been identified as potent allergens. To mitigate the risk of adverse skin reactions, IFRA has set strict limits on the concentration of these substances in fragrances. In 2017, the European Commission banned atranol and chloroatranol based on concerns that they could cause skin rashes in 1-3% of consumers. Following this, in 2020, IFRA updated their standards, stipulating that levels of atranol and chloroatranol should each be below 100 parts per million (ppm). These measures are intended to protect consumers from allergic reactions rather than addressing toxicity concerns. As a result, many perfumes have been reformulated to comply with these regulations, often substituting oakmoss with alternative ingredients or using modified extracts with reduced allergenic compounds.

    Great video; thank you. But I offer a correction regarding allspice: Allspice is a spice made from the dried berries of the Pimenta dioica tree, which belongs to the myrtle family (Myrtaceae). Here’s a detailed explanation of what allspice is, the tree it grows on, and the part of the plant used: What is Allspice? • Flavor Profile: Allspice has a warm, sweet, and spicy flavor, reminiscent of a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. This is why it’s called “allspice.” • Common Uses: It’s widely used in both sweet and savory dishes, including baking, Caribbean cuisine (like jerk seasoning), and pickling. The Allspice Tree • Scientific Name: Pimenta dioica. • Native Region: The tree is native to the Caribbean, Central America, and southern Mexico, but it is also cultivated in tropical regions worldwide. • Tree Characteristics: • Evergreen with glossy green leaves. • Can grow up to 30-60 feet tall (9-18 meters). Which Part of the Tree is Used? • Part Used: The spice comes from the unripe berries of the tree. • Process: 1. The berries are harvested while still green. 2. They are dried in the sun until they turn dark brown and become hard. 3. Once dried, they resemble large peppercorns and can be ground into powder or used whole. Additional Uses of the Tree • Leaves: The leaves of the allspice tree are also aromatic and can be used similarly to bay leaves in cooking. • Essential Oil: The berries and leaves are distilled to produce allspice essential oil, used in flavoring and aromatherapy. Interesting Facts • Name Origin: The name “allspice” was given by European explorers who thought it combined the flavors of several spices. • Historical Use: Allspice has been used since ancient times, particularly by the Maya and Aztecs, for culinary and medicinal purposes.

    • @Dim_the_Athenian
      @Dim_the_Athenian หลายเดือนก่อน

      He use mostly prediluted oils, so that means there is already alcohol inside the formula. If he had use 100% row undiluted oils the amount of alcohol he would need at the end would have been much more to achieve the 15% concentration.

    • @Perfume_lovers
      @Perfume_lovers หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Dim_the_Athenian Thank you for the help. That is right even if you take into pre-dilutions and then adjust the final concentration to 15%, 1.2 gram perfumer alcohol is still not the correct number. I will double check my calculations today again.

    • @Dim_the_Athenian
      @Dim_the_Athenian หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Perfume_lovers There is no way to check it because we don't know how many grams he used for every material. Also the percentages of every material he show us on top of the video is the clean formula for row undiluted materials and not the percentages of the predilutes he was using! Go to the recent comments i have wrote down the whole formula!
