Page 3, section 2, paragraph 5 of the Old Guy Handbook states that i need to lecture you, so here it goes. The battery; Get yourself a cheap multimeter. You will need it for other projects in the future anyway. Then learn how to check your charging system. It's very simple, takes just a few minutes and you can find several videos on youtube explaining it. Basicaly, you need to be charging at between 13v and 14v while the car is running right after you start it. Anytime you have a battery issue or question the life of a battery, Always, always, always take 2 minutes and check the charging system with a multimeter. If you have trouble figuring it out, hit me back and I can talk you through it. Trust me on this because I don't want some other Old Guy to have to rescue you in the middle of nowhere on your long trip. And BTW, you have a great attitude. Make sure you never loose that.

Wow! Skandivaian livestock is so violent! Didn't know farming in the North was so dangerous! 🤣🤣🤣 Yes. I understand the frustration with the headlights. When I was your age, headlights in all cars were designed to be taken out easily, in just a few minutes. Today, engineers just don't seem to have the skills or the common sense that they used to. The best thing to do is consult the manual or an online tutorial..... for a simple headlight! It's rediculous.

About the battery - when the car is running it should be between 13 to 14v (depending on the loads at the time and the alternator setup) and should drop to around 12-12.5V quite quickly after the you shut it down. So I believe the battery and alternator are OK

The aluminum side of Alubutyl will greatly reduce road heat if applied to the entire floor.

I don't mind some cow content. Would prefer Roadrunner content but it is what it is. 😇
