This Dresser/Drawers that we restored, its boards were made of chipboard, the first putty was instant wood putty, and the second putty, which was gray in color, was instant car putty.

@@CreativeIdeasMaker The new finish is dark and shiny and orangy in color. I liked the original lighter color and mat finish. I like the repairs you made and would like them to be more visible. The new finish hides your repairs and the imperfections that give the piece interest. I am afraid if I walked into a room I wouldn't notice this piece because it looks like something out of a new furniture showroom. I prefer antiques.
