    I'll never understand Tesla hate. It is by far the most American made brand of anything on the road. I am currently driving my 51st car and the first 49 were all ICE and like you I am a huge automotive enthusiast. If I am not working I am reading or watching something about the automotive industry. I have had several fast sports cars and muscle cars and still love them, but after owning a 2023 M3P and know a 2024 M3P I don't think I will ever go back to ICE. For starters the acceleration has spoiled me so much that every ICE car I drive now seems slow and I have several friends with fast gassers that I have driven. I am quite a bit older than you so I really enjoy quiet and smooth transportation and if I want to firm things up for spirited driving I just press a couple of buttons. For me there are literally no downsides to owning my car and a ton of benefits. I still go to all ICE car shows and love every minute of it and that will never change. My guess is you will regret getting rid of your Plaid if that's what decide to do.

      Definitely not getting rid of it just still fighting the urge to get something else on the “side” which ultimately as you know would be a waste of money at this point. Thanks for watching! 🙏

    I love my cars with engines in them. The sound, the ability to modify etc. However, I would definitely get an EV for local pickups, get groceries, go to work basically to drive locally. But the EV's are too big, too heavy and worse far too expensive. I love small cars. When EV's become smaller, lighter and less expensive I see myself buying one for local commuting. Other than that, enjoy your ride.

  • @Siegefya
    @Siegefya 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    It disrupted the industry. Its affordable, it does sht way more expensive cars can do...and then some. For a car person, it is weird...it belongs but its in its own lane. I feel you, I mean how much better does it get? If you get anything else bro, honestly... whatever you get isn't gonna keep up, besides thr lucid but that's way more expensive than the plaid. Only thing in my opinion is a Porsche, but what you mentioned is why even the Porsche isn't gonna give you what the S is giving you. Yeah i completely understand where you're coming from, I don't have a Tesla but i get it.

    Own a 22 Plaid after owning a variety of performance ICE cars, last of which was a Porsche Panamera Turbo. Love the car because of its over the air updates, technology, speed, fuel savings, minimal maintenance and not always worried about the next oil change, spark plug change transmission flush or check engine light. Not without its flaws as Tesla cheapens out on paint quality and a few other things but definitely a good value for the dollar. Excellent daily driver and I have a X3 diesel for utility and long distance highway travels when I don’t wanna be bothered with more than one charging stop on a trip. Only car that would be tempting to leave my Plaid would be a 911 Turbo but it wouldn’t make fiscal sense.

    • @elgapitan

    I am kind of like you far as really needing or using FSD. To me it is not a necessity and to pay that extra cost. I am retired, only daily drive my Model Y around town, and also do my charging only at home. I have tried the FSD 30 day free trial 1.5.6, found it interesting, but it did do some weird moves while just driving to a few places I do daily - this was doing summer driving. I feel more comfortable driving my vehicle myself. Also we are using FSD among too many human drivers that are very impatient and in a hurry to go nowhere attitudes. I have nothing against FSD, I just don't need it. We still have to watch what the vehicle is always doing, so I might as well drive the vehicle myself. Just my opinion.

    You gotta understand that FSD or ANY automated system is only as good as the tires. I'm in the Midwest and there's absolutely no reason to run on anything other than all season tires. You're not, if you got any sense, going to get anywhere near the top speed of the car and you don't need the extra 3% of performance a summer tire is going to give you over an all season tire. I mean, it's December so why wouldn't you be on a all season tire?

    I've been looking up Tesla's for a while now. I felt weird about him at first because it's basically a big ass RC car.. I've had a lot of cars myself as of right now I drive a diesel Jeep. But now after looking at it now and it's been 10 years and the majority of these cars are still on the road and there's more EVs coming out, I'm looking into a Tesla performance not going to get applied I'm in a killing myself probably but at least a performance model, I think they're at least 500 and some horsepower. But it just seems nice not to put gas in your vehicle You could just wake up and have a fully charged car and just take off You don't have to worry about putting oil in it You don't have to worry about putting antifreeze coolant You just hop in and go something different. I think people hate on them cuz they're so new and you have a lot of old school people out here that won't change their ways. They just got to get inside one. Great video bro You definitely convinced me furthermore.

    I'm going to give you some excellent advice. I hope you heed it. In time, you will understand the wisdom imparted here. Change your entire outlook. Change from being a "car" guy to an "investment" guy. This will pay you serious returns now, and far into the future. Look, you like your Tesla. It's convenient, it works, it frees your mind. You spent a lot of money on it. *Leave* it there. Accept you found what works. Drive that Tesla into the ground, or until the battery implodes. Do not -- not -- throw your hard-earned money and work on more cars, which will crater in value (especially now). Instead, start focusing your mind on investments and things that pay you a return for being a disciplined investor. I don't give a shit if it's a hundred bucks, a thousand, or a hundred thousand. Having your funds work for you around the clock is pure magic. One suggestion, go visit the bogleheads forum (ends in org), which follows the advice of Jack Bogle, who created Vanguard. Or financial samurai, who has some good basic content. Bottom line, keep what you got. Be satisfied with it. Be DONE with it. Now focus on something that is going to pay you much greater rewards, especially if you can execute with discipline. Many Americans cannot. See if you can do better.

    It's horrible dealing with tuners. I'll send a log then wait 3-7 days to be told something looks off and I need to fix it.. I'll troubleshoot, send a new log, and then wait another 3-7 days, only to get the next one-line response.. I'm a month into this process just wondering when I can drive the car again.

    This video is hilarious. Tesla really changed the game for real. The ones who hate on them are the ones who haven’t tried them.
