This is my George Formby channel. For each video, I try to provide key information such as the title of the film it is taken from, the year it was made and the name of the composer of the song. One point to note though - George Formby himself is often credited as a composer but this is more than likely an honorary credit given to him for performing it or making minor tweaks. I've included lyrics with some videos. Keep checking back, because I am gradually replacing most of these clips with High Quality versions.

What is this pop song called?
WHAT IS THIS SONG CALLED? It was played a lot at the Hotel America in Majorca (or Mallorca if you want to spell it that way). They played it whilst the hotel entertainment team did a funny dance by the pool whilst the guests in the pool copied them. Just curious what the song is. The only way I can describe it is to sing it, hence this awful rendition.

Tabs for You're Everything to Me by George Formby
มุมมอง 15K15 ปีที่แล้ว
These are the chords that sound right to me, from what I can hear. That's not to say they're the definitive version; not all the chords exactly match the orchestra, but they work well for the uke when you play along to the original. I suspect this tune would be better suited to a normal soprano uke rather than a banjolele (think of Joe Brown's performance of "I'll See You In My Dreams" at the t...
Matt plays In My Little Snapshot Album - George Formby cover

If - Bread cover - Ukulele Cheesy Chillout version
มุมมอง 1.7K15 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my take on Bread's "If" written by the brilliant David Gates, played on my banjo-ukulele, with super smooth trombone sounds coming from the keyboard behind me. I'm going for a kind of "Mellow Yellow" style. Sorry about the poor sound quality, all I've got is my digital camera.

This is my very first self-performance-upload. OK I'll be honest, it's crap, but I'm a novice and I'm getting better all the time :-) ..and next time I'll try to learn the words first!

'We're always on the tweet'......2024
Love this song and video clip, the lady sitting next to him is so cute with her subtle reactions to his song! 😍
My favourite George song; guaranteed to improve your mood and put a smile on your face.
George had instant rapport with the audience and cracked the fourth wall at will, much like Laurel and Hardy.
Goodness! I do not think that I've even seen Esma Cannon when she was young.
He could play that banjolele alright !!!😊
George is a breath of fresh air in 2024 today it's elections war crime but George elevates us about that negativity he puts a smile on our faces
Still watching in 2024❤❤❤
Marvelous! 👏👏👏👏👏 and all this time I had only associated this song with that 1960s English rock group 😊
Such immaculate tailoring too
See Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain's version for a larf. 😂
Captain Scuttle approves of this ditty!
Big Audio Dynamite brought me here …
Boy is she pretty
This song was played at my old man's funeral, as we were walking out after the service. He like George Formby, and we have family connections on the IOM. My dad was evacuated there during the war, he also raced bikes and he had raced on the island.
She's sixty-six but she looks sixteen .
God bless you George. Did more to boost British morale, when he smacked Hitler "take that Adolf!" in one of his films, than anyone but Churchill.
He was absolutely brilliant. I wish they would put all his films on tv.
There was no need for him to count the pianist in.
Hey! I've heard that his fans included four lads from Liverpool. It's quite unfortunate that he didn't live long enough to see the rise of British rock and roll in the sixties. Many of the young artists were childhood fans of his.
A Pakistani comedian singer copied Geroge’s acting from this song
Glad I made it 300 likes I’m going to cover this
To much Fanny not enough Fanlight
I can sing better with my mouth shut!
I thought Fanlight Fanny was a personal feature
2024 ask a policemen : " policemen will charge you with. " being a public nuisance ! " Laugh 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣
In North Africa in 1943, the Yank troops got entertained by Marlene Dietrich while our lot got landed with this bs.
Excelente 👌 ❤
He’s the best. Need more brits like our George
I love watching his films even still the best god bless him amen 🙏 💕
GET THE CORNED BEEF OUT....FANNY...😮
A Comedian who couldn’t tell Jokes- an actor who couldn’t act. George Formby had a special magic that lit up the stage. He was a unique talent who kept this country smiling in the darkest time.
Growing up in the 80’s my grandad got me into George Formby (plus Norman Wisdom) there always seemed to be reruns on, loved watching these silly films with him having a great laugh. Plus Abbott and Costello and the Road to… films with Bob Hope. 😂 😂
" good one im still listening 🎶 " its bean 4yrs now !" Laugh 😃 😀 😄 😁 ahh ahhhhh
I sang this to my daughter when she was small - she would say "Sing Chairs". Shame it didn't get played as much as his other songs.
For some reason i cant hear the sound, i know this clip is great as i heard it before.
This is one of my favourite songs of George
This is a fantastic record love you George rip miss you so much
Wonderful.
A comic policeman. Today we've got thousands of 'em, and they're not acting!
All these comments are wonderful, I've pressed the like button on all that I've read up until now, brilliant George formby, a time which seems so innocent compared to today. He was a delight as we're his films. A time lost forever, we are the poorer for that. Joyous memories. Thank you George.
Turned out nice again
Brilliant thanks sxx bravo juliett
Is the maid Esme Canon?
Yes
Charming and fun to watch and hear.
Im only 71 and I think this is great stuff.
Brilliant ❤❤❤❤ it
THE BRITISH MUSIC HALL WAS AS MUCH AN INFLUENCE ON THE BEATLES AS WAS ROCK N ROLL.
