I attended Hillcrest elementary from grade 2 when the school first opened till grade 7. My father and I used to fly out of Salmon Arm Airport. C-FXNB a 1956 cessna 182.

Nice! That nature trail showing the farmland at 6:21 is my family's property with my new home in the background. I grew up on this acreage and only recently moved back after living in the lowermainland for 35 years. Ahhhhh, good to be back home again.

Does blind bay have taxi services??

How is Herald's beach area? Guess it's a park now. Used to camp on the beach there when Heralds were still around. Would go up to the falls and climb up above but couldn't swim as it was water supply for Heralds back then.

Salmon Arm Is a great place to be. We have been there many times. Also this summer shall Salmon Arm in between our trip. I could live there, Oh yes. But its not possable for me at this time. I love canada forever . We are coming every year to Canada for long time. But emigrate is not possable.

Pretty much nailed it with your presentation. Last week of June til schools back in. You will hear the boats and jet skis, After that quiet. Just about everyone on our street is retired. If I could do everything over, I would have done it sooner.

Salmon Arm is a shithole, with endless strip malls, traffic lights, and awful suburban ephemera. Only in Canada does the main highway devolve into a nasty city street.

That’s what that smell is… poor planning for sure on whoever decided on that location for the plant. Pretty balanced view. I find it funny as people who grew up in this area tend to look down “city folk” but I think we need a lot more city folk to improve this town and bring fresh ideas so it’s not so “mundane” as you say. It’s definitely a changing area. A lot of city type moved here in the past couple years, and although it was great at first, one really begins to miss the vibrancy and stimulation from bigger cities. I think we just need an inflow of people willing to sacrifice losing what the big city has and bring some of that here.

Could you possibly do a video about retiring in Salmon Arm? What resources are available i.e. health care, recreation, social etc. with a focus on seniors. We are a Canadian couple currently living in the north of Scotland and we are looking at your area as a potential place to retire.
