Find Hidden Sprinkler Valve Buried Deep. Harbor Freight Cable Finder.
มุมมอง 1.1K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
I moved to a property with a 2-acre yard, and 20 sprinkler valves. Most of them are buried at this point, and one needed repair. I tried the Chat R Box, but Weathermatic solenoids are too quiet to be detected. I didn't want to pay $800 for a professional wire finder, so I tried the $14 Cent Tec cable finder from Harbor Freight.

No matter how hard I have looked I have never found a pair of truly fog free protective goggles or glasses. There's nothing worse than using your chainsaw or other equipment and not being able to see at the worst possible time. I finally found a couple pairs that seem to do the trick.

Smoking Brisket starting on offset smoker, and finishing on pellet smoker. EASY!
มุมมอง 2236 หลายเดือนก่อน
I own an offset smoker and a pellet smoker. The offset smoker gives me great smoke flavor and terrific bark. The pellet smoker gives me "set it and forget it" convenience, but less flavor. I figured I could combine the two. Let's see how it works out...

Installing new butcher block counter top with a sink
I repiped the whole house after ripping out the 100+ yr/old steel. That Ryobi made the difference. I pretty much eyeballed the whole thing never caring about hand fatigue. Their outlet store usually has it dirt cheap on Black Friday.
Yes. It works. No lights on. Darn headache. Thanks a Lot. Radar Love 😅
I cant get my out! I used a damn hammer and still could not remove it.
Chat R Box worked great on my sprinklers
Thanks for the video, it motivated me to do it myself but definitely not a 20 minute job. I wind up using a a bottle jack which I wrapped and made it easier. The biggest hurdle I had was getting it back in which took longer. Spring compressor is sketchy…
Thanks for this video!!! I did my 2018 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid and it worked great! The driver side took me a little longer but once I got the correct placement of the jack then the wood it worked out fine. The passenger side took me no time after all the trial and error on the driver side. To me it took more effort to take the strut out versus getting it in. Thanks again!!!
funny this video hit my feed today! Ive been having issues with it for a couple weeks now. I was crimping with this tool today and it would not release! I finally got it loose and threw it away. crimp tool is total trash!!!!
I’ve had my Apollo pair for like 3.5 years no issues. Absolutely love these.
not the best idea.. this problem normally root cause of TCV. better off to visit subaru dealership
A loose gas cap forces the car into this mode. Seems like overkill. Of course it is possible that something is actually wrong. In this case it will back to this mode after you restart the car. This happened to others in the comments below...
Why not just vent the thing thru a wall instead of up and out? I don’t get contractors who vent a dryer thru a roof or using feet and feet of line. Put the laundry room on an exterior wall. Done.
Unfortunately this area is in the middle of the house. No way to vent through a wall.
That’s one of the old school pgps. I liked those nozzles a lot better. That’s what I grew up with. Sucks how they don’t make them anymore. I usually just use a keyboard duster.
Yes! It fixed mine. Had to do it with an empty water bottle and not it works fine. Thanks!
This is only a problem for pgp’s as it’s the only one that has no flat head slots, this is why I don’t use pgp’s unless I really have to
I purchased that Apollo tool 3 years ago and I NEVER had any problems with it. 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️

I’m going to try this this week!!! I’ll comment when done!!!
Just used this fix, and my SodaStream is good to go. I had to run through the procedure twice. I plan to do this twice a year to keep it clear.
Lucky you!!!!
What would cause this to happen? Same thing happened to my 2023 ascent. All lights (check engine, RAB off, eyesight off, etc) were all on.
I am a DIY and i have had similar instance, but I would press and turn that same twisty.
i bet this is why they dont want you using the syrup first only after then it clogs everything up?
Sorry to say, but your entire vent system is not up to code. There’s quite a few things you may want to consider. The duct used looks to be a thin gauge aluminum rather than 28 gauge required by IRC. The joints on the elbows and connections are not sealed properly. More importantly, Inline booster fans are no longer approved by the IRC and most every dryer manufacturer states to not use them in the manual. The one you have is not designed for a dryer exhaust and is not capable of handling the heat or lint. Also the fan being that close to the dryer is does not increase the air speed whatsoever. They were designed to be installed a minimum of 15 feet from the dryer to assist the air as it slowed. Installing one closer than that can damage the dryer. The dryer you have is more than capable of pushing 65ft+. You can verify this info by looking up your dryers model number. I will say you did great by replacing the foil venting with semi rigid as the foil really increases the static pressure leading to more lint accumulation. My suggestion would be to remove the fan, seal all joints and seams and install a single damper style exterior cover. If your set on using a inline fan I’d suggest looking into a code improved Dedpv but imo it’s completely unnecessary with your vent setup.
It's been working like a dream since I added the booster. No more damp clothes at the end of the cycle. We switched the external lint trap to go in front of the booster, so it wouldn't clog.
Thank you, oh so very much! FINALLY FIXED! I wish I could give ten thousand thumbs up!
The dealership guy told me to wait 4 days, dont do a reset, wait and see he said. Gas cap loose = need to reset the car CPU, seems BS.
I have had no problems with it for two years now. I also don’t put a “ton” of pressure on it. Define a “ton”.
Dammit, it worked! Thanks!!!
I had ALL my dashboard icons come on AND EYESIGHT off… and yes, did the same thing and it fixed the issue. Can you imagine how much a dealership would have tried to get out of someone?
This is good information. We need to do this.
I found that if you use the higher pressure settings, you minimize waste and runoff. The rinse setting uses too much water/cleaner. Especially since this is a bleach solution which could be harmful.
I have tried powering off the entire car. The problem goes away the first time I start it, but reappears the second time I start it.
Me too
This was incredibly helpful. Even after 8 years! Thanks for posting!
FYI - In future one small suggestion- use one short wood while compressing to keep strut straight like 90 degree. And other one long wood along floor jack and tie wood at top using rope with strut so when removing strut it doesn’t spring backwards(expand) all of sudden and then floor jack to release the spring pressure.
Great suggestion! Hopefully these last long enough, so I don't have to do it too soon.
What brand struts did you use? I’m not happy with either OEM. Nor lucky on aftermarket(TRQ) one. Appreciate your feedback on what did you use. ACURA struts are too soft. Poor quality spring by OEM in my opinion. Or it may be just me.
These FCS from Rock Auto. They are more spongy than I would like, but I don't think they make an aftermarket strut that will satisfy our needs. KYB didn't have one for the 2015 MDX.
@Andy44Andy - what made you dislike the TRQ brand struts? Was it noisy? Reason why I’m asking is because I just ordered a set and don’t want to be disappointed when I put it in.
@@diyorbust842how’s the ride with those struts? I’m looking for a softer ride so I don’t mind it be mushy. Also great vid btw. Glad you didn’t cut out those mishaps so I know what to encounter when I do them
So far so good. 6 months
Thanks for putting my verbal into great video.
Thanks Andy!
Also you could use something to tie around wood at and strut to keep together.
Use folded thick cloth under the wood on knuckle towards brake rotor side to prevent wood sliding to have upward slope. Thanks for making this video.
Or just cock everything
Replacing the springs every 5/7 years is best for dependable service 😊
Nice work.
It worked. Thank you.
Haha. I did get lucky, but I did it on both sides, and the other just took a little bit of persuasion. I would do it this way every time vs. trying to smack the knuckle apart.
I actually saw that comment you referred to about someone explaining this way and thought "darn wish there was a video of that" haha thanks for making this! Not sure if Im going to take this route though...looked tricky. You got so lucky when it fell in 😂
Light stayed off. Totally fixed and back to normal 2 weeks and 2k later.
Try Go Brewing, Best Day Brewing, Untitled Art, WellBeing, as well as imports from Germany and Poland. Way better than anything from Athletic or macro breweries. ProofNoMore has a good selection of you live in the US.
Thanks for the recommendations. I will give those a try and do another video.
Is there any update on this? Did the lights come back again?
Light have not come back on. Permanent fix for sure.
@@diyorbust842 all my warning lights came back on .... :(
My Apollo is about 15 yrs old and still going but I tend to mainly use solid rings and just use your crimps in tight spaces.
But a Pex crimper that look like bolt cutters. They actually work. I always use solid rings as well. The rings he’s using in the video won’t pass the code in my area.
Same boat. I'd rather get something new that works. Returning things invoves communications, weighing, postal cost, waiting.. screw it.
I have not broke mine yet, but I have had it lock up. This mostly happens when one handle is up against a wall. It does the job (most of the time), but it is a poor design.
Thanks, got the trimmer plus and was quickly welcomed to the monopoly world of attachments…
One thing I did was tape plastic sheeting in different portions of the shower and watched if the leak continued. This allowed me to eventually find the bad area and get after it.
