Hey, sorry for the comment on an old video. But i have a question. Ive seen in other videos people splitting the 5v to 2.5 for the Blanking switch. Is this something you have done here? Or is it 5v through the switch straight into the YS line on the teletext array?

In hopes that you respond to a comment on an old video how could one go about fixing the skewed white lines where they intersect? I notice you have some on the white lines along the left side of this tv. It's always where the lines intersect and the top of the vertical line bends to the right below where it intersects with the horizontal line. I have a flat screen trinitron very similar to this. I got everything nearly perfect but I have those bent spots in the vertical line right below the crossover point throughout the entire grid instead of just small amounts of it like your tv. If I turn the contrast down those bends go away and everything looks perfect except the picture is too dull to be useful. Turning red down also fixes the bend but again it ruins the image making the fix unusable. I've tried everything shown in this video but nothing I do makes it better than I already have it. Is there something you didn't touch on in this video that could help with my issue or could it be just the caps are bad? I did notice the picture wasn't that bright when I got the tv. Even cranking everything to the max in the regular menu didn't give enough brightness to make something like Doom 64 playable. I had to make tweaks in the service menu to boost things further so I could have an acceptable brightness with picture and brightness in the menu set in the middle. Oddly, the grid had the same issue before boosting things for a brighter image. It really makes me feel like there's cap issues but I am really hoping to find another fix. The caps are a level of work I don't know if I want to get in to. They all look perfect but I know that doesn't mean they are ok. Sorry for this increbly long comment but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i have a 2004 kv-36fs100 and im in the same boat as everyone else.. cant fix the bowing with the service menu but the tv is too heavy for me to move rn and give myself enough space to open up the back to see if theres a ring to adjust on this model too - ill check the service manual in a few days but if any1 has worked on this tv before and can let me know if theres a good possibility of this set having this adjustment ring within probably a year of posting this comment that would be very nice XD

Nice find! I’ve got a nice NeoGeo AES & MVS collection including an NeoGeo AES Neo-AEC NTSC console CIB plus 2 Analogue Neo Geo CMVS Slim consoles in ash wood with ebony finish that are still new! It’s an expensive console/arcade machine to collect for. I haven’t added to my collection for a while now but I still look/hunt. Cheers!

Just got a dark green Beovision 1, and while it doesn't look as bad as yours, that sticky residue is annoying. I hope to get rid of it with your method, I just have to find the equivalent products in Spain. It really looks and sounds amazing. Mine came with the Beo4 remote and wall stand.

Do you know what each of the geometry settings do to the display. My B&O has a slight bow inwards on the left side and I couldn’t figure out which of the settings would do it.

Mate, as another Aussie AES/MVS collector all I can say is wow. That haul is worth a LOT more than you paid for it. I guess he just needed it gone. Far out.

Hi mate. Subscribed here from SA. One question? I have a 7500/132 Power PC and have the universal Apple Mac OS 8.5 install CD and the 8.6 update CD. I assume I can just use the SD card in the Bluescsi V2 and select it as destination boot HDD? However I'm unsure what to format the SD card as in my early 2015 Macbook Pro running Monterey. Is it simply format as FAT32? I'm unsure what to do as even Bluescsi don't offer any info unless one is using disc images and mounting them. I have NO idea how to do this! Thanks man.

You're a lifesaver! I recently bought a 14" flat screen trinitron and was having a little trouble with bowing and not being able to fix properly within the service menu! Managed to get my geometry as close as to perfect as I could. Thank you!

yeh i just went to change my scart switch and my cheap cable come apart while taking it out, justed ordered new scart switch and cable from them, used them in the past, but they have started doing their own switches now unlike when i ordered before with them, so got that too

Anyway to see if a screen is working without plugging a source in to it ? Turning the volume up or down should a volume bar or numbers appear on screen ?

Great to see a video dedicated to this monitor, I love it and have gradually amassed three over the last 5-6 years (in various states of repair/disrepair so the footage inside is particularly interesting). It certainly doesn’t appear often. I have deduced that it was originally made late in the life of the A3000, but when the A4000 was launched this was Commodore’s only monitor that could display both the old OCS screenmodes and the new AGA screenmodes in Workbench, so it became the monitor on all the A4000 marketing literature, magazine reviews etc and so most synonymous with the A4000. Eventually it was replaced with the 1940 and 1942, which has similar specs but in the same case as the 1084S. Thanks for the video.
