Road trip time. This time i drop 8K on a Neo Geo Collection from a local collector here in Sydney. Did i overspend, Are there bootlegs. Take a look and tell me what you think.
Definatl;ely the most i have ever spent In one pickup, certainly tested the Nerves this Pickup.

Nice find! I’ve got a nice NeoGeo AES & MVS collection including an NeoGeo AES Neo-AEC NTSC console CIB plus 2 Analogue Neo Geo CMVS Slim consoles in ash wood with ebony finish that are still new! It’s an expensive console/arcade machine to collect for. I haven’t added to my collection for a while now but I still look/hunt. Cheers!

The NEO GEO is my favorite retro console ever created, since it's literally Arcade Cabinet hardware put into a console format. But LOOORD that availability and price range was so, so unjustifiable. 175 dollars US for a copy of Samurai Shodown 2 in 1993 combined with a 600 dollar RARE console was just RIDICULOUS. Such impeccable hardware marred by a terrible business model.

That’s an absolutely awesome collection, I only have a neo geo cd and decided to go with the sd loader instead of buying physical games.

Good to see fellow Aussie Neogeo collector also. Like I mentioned before my collection Neogeo MVS and Atomiswave is very similar to you. Nice video. Well done.
After owning a MiSTer I would never collect like this again.

Mate, as another Aussie AES/MVS collector all I can say is wow. That haul is worth a LOT more than you paid for it. I guess he just needed it gone. Far out.
Some red flags to look for in mvs carts are reprinted labels, coloured carts, silver screws in the carts, non toshiba chips, crease in the labels. My top tip is use a magnifying glass to inspect the print on the labels they should be made up of small dots - but good haul
Uh yeah. I'd say you got a good deal. You got probably 4x the value you paid.

Nice collection 🙂. I got a Neo SD Pro flash cartridge cause the aes game are too expensive to collect. I wanted to play all the Neo Geo Metal Slug games on original hardware without spending too much money. The first Metal Slug game that’s a legit copy without the case sold on eBay a while ago for over $5000.

I spent 5k on just one Neo Geo AES game. Mint King of Frighters 2000 English version #10 of 100. But I'm only collecting the rare English AES in mint condition.
