Crazy how much has happened in the last months. With slightly better execution in some parts and taking into account SSD loads (which would save ~5 seconds), this could probably be brought down to sub 4 minutes. Moreover, RTA single segment poki skip is now more possible than ever. Run-wise, it seems to be faster, though no conclusive timings have been made. The real split time if this was a ru...

I’m a be real, it is just impressive to see that a person who solved a decade old mystery do it again but finding other alternatives that are more faster despite the fact Clank is slow as a newborn figuring out how to walk
Just watched Rixers video about poki skip yet again and thought it still wasn't discovered, now I was just closing youtube and coincidentally saw a thumbnail that said poki skip and then read the title that it's no longer a mystery. Well done mate 👏

Hello i have a ps2 emulator on my pc and its running good but neither my ps4 nor my ps3 controller connect to the pc i have the programme that you need to connect it but it reads it as a cursor not a controller do you think xbox controller will be better ?
Afaik, Xbox controllers generally work better on pc, but there are tutorials for how to connect ps3 and ps4 controllers. Try searching up "connect ds3 to pcsx2" on TH-cam
Is this possible to do without ng+? The PDA doesn’t get used in poki skip. Am I missing anything?
It is, but it's much harder as you don't have the 'specials' menu unlocked, which makes for example the jump from the magnerail to the infobot plattform impossible and a longer and more difficult detour is needed instead

How long does it take to do a TAS of these games? I assume they’re extremely tedious due to the lack of runs I’ve seen for games especially if it’s a 100% type category

Clank running around on Orxon definitely isn't something I've ever seen before, really cool seeing all the new tricks that have to be used to let him get around
Tried this and it didn't work. If I want the Speed Demon trophy, I'm gonna have to get it legit, I.E., I'm never going to get it at all, because that trophy is a joke, the punchline of which is that you'll never get it.
Not at all. Speed demon is very possible without doing this trick. Jusr make sure to play the later challenges that have shortcuts and pick up enough boosts
Is this possible on the PS2?
This route specifically isn't possible on ps2, thanks to it needing the animation canceling properties of the "in level movies" menu, which only happens on ps3. However, there is now an any% route that doesn't use ILMs that should theoretically work, but no one has tested it on the ps2 as far as I know

@tfergii88 what's funny is that the game apparently only checks for heli pack when you glide. Which means that if you only have Thruster Pack, you can't actually glide with it

1:41 Can you explain how you are able to charge out of a falling state here? It seems like it would be really useful but I'm assuming there's some sort of caveat.
leaving L1 (first person) gives you a single frame of a kind of pseudo-grounded state, where you, for example, can throw a turret and get the grounded throwing animation or start a charge. You can not, however, jump from this grounded state. So what you do is, is buffer one of the R1 inputs for the charge just before entering first person (you can see me spamming R1 before the initial charge ends on the input display). This buffered R1 input lasts until you let go of L1. If you time an R1 input the frame after you release l1, you will get a charge in midair as I did. Tldr R1 -> L1 -> release L1 -> R1 1 frame later What are you planning on using this for btw?
