Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suite No.5 (BWV 816) is one of six suites composed between 1722 and 1725 for keyboard instruments (such as harpsichord or clavichord). The French Suite No.5 is aptly titled, given its diverse collection of regional dance forms. Bach’s love for Anna Magdalena shines through in the Allemande, making it a heartfelt and captivating piece.
The Allemande, a German dance, opens the suite. It features a graceful and flowing melody, reflecting Bach’s deep affection for his second wife, Anna Magdalena.
바흐의 프랑스 조곡 5번은 바흐가 두 번째 아내인 안나 막달레나 바흐와 결혼한 후, 1722년에서 1725년 사이에 작곡된 여섯 곡의 모음곡 중 하나로 전체 여섯 곡 가운데서 가장 밝고 활기찬 음악인 것이 큰 특징입니다. 특히 사랑스러운 알라망드, 경쾌하며 우아한 가보트, 부드럽고 아름다운 선율이 등장하는 루르 등 여러 지역의 춤곡들이 배치되어 있어 〈프랑스 모음곡〉이라는 제목과 가장 잘 어울리는 작품입니다.
독일 춤곡인 알라망드는 바흐가 아내 막달레나를 위해 작곡한 곡인 만큼 아내에 대한 바흐의 깊은 애정을 담은 듯한 아름다운 선율을 보여줍니다.
