I have a problem with Ultima Weapon myself. Specifically in Days. To unlock it, you need to effectively 100% the game of all challenges. It's like "Thanks for slaying the last evil dragon in the world. There are no more dragons. To thank you, we'd like to award you with the Dragon Slayer Sword! It deals super high damage to dragons." I'm sitting here like "Thanks... this would have been useful when there was still something to use it on..."

Mysterious figure isn't that bad when it comes to fighting him with Ventus or Aqua. It's fighting him with Terra that makes it incredibly difficult

I genuinely thought KH3 Darkside's moves are performed as fast as in recom. Gotta say it packs a punch, so I can't say it's the easiest version of it since the actually easiest version is the KH1 at the end game. Vexen and Lexaeus in CoM GBA are pushovers, because their attacks don't pose an immediate threat and can be card broken just in time, and using Fire or Dark Mode just annihilates them.

Kingdom Hearts 1 level design can be really hit or miss, but Hollow Bastion as a whole is absolutely pristine.

This happened to me after grinding out mirage arena for platinum. I hadn't saved. I was very unhappy.

I wonder what would happen if you were able to poison Riku Ansem and exit the area as he's dying. If movement would be restricted the same frame he's knocked out then I wonder if there's any leeway in the game still registering DoT within a frame or so of exiting.

Doesn't Metal Chocobo allow you to ignore the big-ass recovery frames when your keyblade bounces-off something?

The Riku Ansem fight restart reminded me of Zelda's Back in Time skips, which made me think, if there ever was a Back in Time for this game, it should be called Power of Waking or PoW for short. Would be hilarious.

I wish critical hits were retained in KH2 and KH3. Giving abilities to keyblades definitely retained depth, but I feel like critical hits would have made it even deeper.

I blasted Sephiroth in the Platinum cup with Divine Rose because I thought One-Winged Angel was better... But after seeing it actually drastically reduced my attack, I sticked with the toothpick. It was the same shit, only difference is that one is longer and weaker than the other.

why mario sound effects though? i understand using the music, but why sound effects?

6:50 I already knew that the buttons don’t do anything. When I was looking up if it was possible to reach those buttons while I was playing that particular part, I saw someone who used glitches to get to the button and tried to interact with it but had the same result and were just stuck there. However, I also found out that you can lock on to the buttons that you can interact with, but not the ones that are normally unreachable, which I believe is further evidence that they’re just decorative, like you said, and never intended for the player to interact with them.

Imagine there is a way to bug Neverland to give you the ability to fly outside of it.

I must say, despite being a lot of time it's a lot less than grinding at KH2 at the prologue

Lovely how this game still has some hidden features

I have 2 points that may help out in the Great Crest area... 1) If you could somehow activate the Heartless fight and make it back to the first platform, you could summon Dumbo, gain Height, then Glide. 2) I discovered a glitch a few years back in Halloweentown where you could infinitely jump (similar to the original PS2 Release in the Fallen Destiny Islands... The link to my video is here if you want to use it as reference for my point: th-cam.com/video/pdKDplsO3ng/w-d-xo.html By discussing with one of my commentors I found that the reason you can infinitely jump is because there is a missing section in the Floor Hitbox, which means that the game can't properly calculate the distance between Sora's feet and the ground... thus cancelling the fall animation... if you could somehow use a mod to see the floor hitbox, you could find a lot of these hidden hotspots. I doubt they'd be in the Great Crest as there is space underneath the platform, but there could be one in the Riku 2 Boss Room somewhere, which could allow quick access to the top layer. I hope I was able to help you out, man

i feel like you could use the proposed Waterway skip route to skip needing to do the library puzzle maybe, but given the point is likely for speedruns I can understand why this would maybe be pointless

I remember going around Hollow Bation trying to look for a way into the Unknown secret boss room in the original KH1 Trying to see if there was a way to trigger that fight.

Wow, I've played KH2 like 20 times and I somehow never knew that Pete just didn't attack you in that fight. I guess every time I was too eager to beat him up that I never noticed.

I actually knew about the initial jump in Traverse Town but I didn't realize you could enter the shops without flagging the cutscene after doing it. It is really interesting that they have the generic NPC shopkeeper in place of Cid for that instance though, wonder why given you're not even supposed to be able to get there at that point and Cid is there directly after the cutscene.

The fact that all of these other things you’re mentioning about battles not triggering or rooms being in a certain state is made even more hilarious by the fact that COR Skip exists in this game’s sequel.
