Quilting Plus More
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 6 เม.ย. 2017
So much goes into a quilt, more than fabric and thread. So much ‘life’ happens during the creation process in addition to the time, trials and tribulations, love etc. mixed in there too. Maybe that’s why some quilts ‘speak’ to us and why we get attached to them? The maker(s) and the quilt become so integrated and intertwined over the course of its creation that they become one.
Quilts have a story to tell - your story.
Before and after photographs of quilts can be dramatic. I love to watch a quilt top come to life with the addition of the quilting and become a quilt that will be treasured for many years and generations.
I hope you’ll join me on this adventure. This journey of progress to finish, create, share, and, hopefully, inspire in some small way.
New videos will be published on Thursdays.

Love those large prints.
What a beautiful way to use scraps!! I am going to use this idea!! Thank you for this video❤
Beautiful!!
I'm assuming these can't get wet since the washaway foundation would dissolve? I'm debating whether to use your method or just attach a prayer card.
Scraps never end..a life of their own..always scraps of scraps left over to keep multiplying..luv it..🇨🇦
This is a beautiful quilt. With such bold colors, I plan to offer a white border around each 10 inch square before I sew them into a 9 patch. I think the white border may offer 🤔 a new perspective. What are your thoughts? Thank you for sharing.
That is an amazing design! You are very inspirational!
Love these!!! Wish there was a downloadable with the prayer and verses?????
What about tutorials using yardage, not all of us out here likes precuts.
Please no music. Hard to hear.
How many 10 inch squares did you use?
❤❤❤
Stunning ❤❤❤
Very slow....
I watched a video where the lady had a free printout for the prayers. 15 on a page

Yep - I just threw away 2- large rubber made containers of scraps!! 😢- I did make a twin crumb quilt - they were being a burden 😢yep- not to fear - I’ve started a new scrap ben that is filling quickly
Wow! I understood what you were saying. Very clear, thank you for your help. ❤

This is wonderful. Thanks for the video..
So much fun! 🎉🎉🎉 Have just the fabric! ❤️💨
Yes absolutely and it's a great help. My grandmother on her death bed gave each one of us girls a quilt that she has done all by hand and original cotton nothing the fabric was feed sacks. The quilt that I had requested was unfinished it was a double wedding ring I still have it unfinished❤ it is most treasured by me❤ however my children which are two girls and a boy would not treasure the quilt they hardly remember my grandmother. Their great-grandmother of course I hope to donate it to a quilt Museum which it would be treasured not only to them with great care but treasured by the viewers I'm sure❤ your information has gave me a Kickstart .thank you so much for the valuable information❤ I remember it so well Grandmother Had A Quilt frame hanging from the ceiling in her small living room, 6:25 6:25 there this quilt was a challenge to her because most of the time she only had very very small pieces left over from feed sacks that she had made my clothes from❤ God bless her heart it was her very last quilt and I'm sure she didn't know how to finish it or didn't have the fabric❤ she quilted this quilt in the summer of 1950 from feed sack scraps, slowly collected from the years before.. my grandmother's maiden name was Eva Fontenot born and raised in Cajun Country In Louisiana. Married at a very early age settled with her husband amar Miller Cajun descent as well. Like so many people on their status work hard , Not only was she a homemaker where my grandfather was working in the Sugar Cane and the Cotton Patch Patch so was she. Mostly if it didn't raise it they didn't eat it' selling these products produce and eggs to buy things as coffee and sugar flower and of course some animal feed where the scraps came from printed feed sacks. So this quilt she gave to me on her deathbed means more to me than just a quilt it pays tribute tribute to a lifetime of her love and labor...... a priceless treasure.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my word absolutely breathtaking❤❤❤ I'm a beginner and that looks so hard to do. I'll have to watch it over and over again. LOL I know I'm a dummy.😢
Recently I don't care very much scrap quilting, Lots cluttered to me because of it being unorganized I guess but I love❤ the one that you have done, undoubtedly the most beautiful❤! thank you for showing us how to❤... keep them coming 🙂
Love the idea, beautiful fabrics, but I don’t like scrappy quilts. I would have used more solid fabric so that the beautiful printed fabrics would have had more impact. But to each his own. Thanks for good tutorial.
Man I wish I understood the tutorial. I just didn’t understand. How did you make the pattern. How do you make the seams? Darn cause it’s beautiful.
These are very sweet. Thank you for sharing this with us 🙏😊.
