Install Raptor Style Grille on Next Gen Ranger
มุมมอง 26Kปีที่แล้ว
The install is pretty simple. The hardest part is pulling the old grille out. Hopefully this video helps. Unfortunately, I didn’t record the cutting/trimming of the video properly. It didn’t work. I ended up using a hot knife to do the trim. When trimming, just do a small bit at a time. Try fit the camera, then do it again until you get the fit you want. Bare careful not to take too much off. Mate did one side of the tailgate have a strut ball end already fitted? Mine has one ball on one side.. If so, how did you get that off

      Hi mate. Nah it just has a Torx screw on the hinge and a bolt hole on the body. Send me a pic and I’ll have a look michael@hamiltons.com.au

    Hey mate. I'm no expert but I think you may have installed the strut upside down. You may want to check. Cheers

      Definitively mounted upside down that will cause the premature drying up of gaskets

      its a T50 Torx bit. They are hard to undo, so be careful. Ford has packed every screw full of loktite!

      @Mhamilton23 I also tried to undo this one , then stopped because it was too tight. Is there any good tip to undo easily? I don't want to break my t50 bit 😂

    Hey mate, wondering who you ordered the bonnet struts from? Couldn't see any brands on the box in the video

    Hi There cpould you help me with how you wired in the LED Grille Light to your wildtrak

    • @Mhamilton23
      @Mhamilton23 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mate - I had mine wireed in by the boys at Ironman when they did my front bar and light bar. A lot of guys wire them to the accessories or to a fuse in the fuse box that is always live when the car is on. But I'm not an auto elec, so can't comment on how to do it or how good those installs are.

      Hah, I've been searching for an answer to the same question. I was hoping all the wiring looms would be the same and the connector for the factory Raptor grille is already hidden somewhere but obviously not the case. Guess I'm cutting into the park light wiring and not telling the boss 🤣

      I wouldn’t cut in to the lights if it were me. I would Look for a fuse in the fuse box that has power to it permanently whilst the car is running and hook up to that.

    These videos are incredibly helpful. Thank you. Any chance you have customized with some headlights and videoed how to use the spare high beam cables?

      Hi Rich. Thanks for your comment. Glad you find it helpful. I haven't played with the headlights. I had my lightbar etc wired up by Ironman when they did my Raid bar.

      Hey Mike. Any idea how to get the struts to go down? I have fitted them but they won’t go down

    • @Mhamilton23
      @Mhamilton23 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richard.hart. hi mate. They are firm at first, because they haven’t been used. They need to be “oiled”. Gently apply pressure in and off to each side, they will go down. Then gently put them up and down a few times to get them fully primed.
