A wood stove is simply an enclosed metal container with an inlet for cool combustion air and an outlet for hot exhaust. Functionality depends upon many things including "dry" fuel and a balance of available air, diameter of the flue and the height of the flue. Someone could say this stove draws poorly, while someone else perspective could be that the fire is too large for the design of the inlet and outlet. I do believe this stove is purposely designed to limit the possibility of over firing it to some extent. I believe "most" applications would perform much better with a couple sections of additional flue pipe beyond what is supplied with the unit. I think its really strange that some people have high praise for this stove, while others seem to struggle with it. Now with that said, I think the stove could have been designed better. Personally I would have omitted the sliding top and bottom draft holes all togerher, instead replacing them with a single round hole with a pivoting cover; placed down low on the door closer to where the combustion actually happens. Simple and effective .

Do not buy! Alpicool will not honour their warranty! Just had the experience with them during warranty period. Many people have had the same experience as me. Cheap Chinese garbage.

How you been doing?

Ordered the CX50, looks like they have bluetooth and an onboard lithium battery on board now. Gonna use it for our road trips in the van. Great units for sure vs a conventional cooler.

Yeah... It sucks.... I replaced mine with the England SW bear... Much much better and seals.. I use the hq one like a little burn barrel for burn as i go trash..

Keep bottem vents open and the top closed don’t have a problem with mine

No support from Alpicool though my black socket on the fridge came out and a pin broke not be able tp get a new one nowhere

They SHOULD BE WHITE ! I cover the cooler with a white towel to reflect the sun away. These are cheaper and quieter than the old linear Engle type.

3:20 - the delay in getting gas thru the line.... some hoses have a built-in safety feature, such as the Weber version. Once you connect the hose and open the propane tank valve, wait 1 minute minimum time before you turn on the gas knobs on appliance. This ensures a normal flow. If you turn on knobs immediately after connecting to propane, the flow will remain low throughout use. Its a safety feature to ensure no explosions. 3:30 - Yes, the burners are 18K BTU, same as the Camp Chef Blind Ranger II stove top only. Big difference from the pokey 9K BTU on most RV factory installed stove/oven combos like Magic Chef. 4:45 - Rust issue. Polish area with steel wool 00 grade. Spray Loctite Rust Neutralizer (from Lowes) on all rusty areas. Spray Heat Resistant Spray Paint for BBQs (Home Depot) over that. Possibly a bedliner paint as well, but not sure which ones are heat resistant to a BBQ level. Get Neodymium donut magnets from Home Depot, and also apply some paint over them. To solve the issue of hot handles, use this heat resistant silicone dip - paint it over the handles. I have not used it, but found this site on web below. Tha is for video. I am going to buy one tomorrow in hopes I can move a 6ft by 12ft enclosed trailer. After seeing your video I think it is do able. My trailer is not on a uneven rough surface. I should be good, I hope.

This stove is also galvanized and lets off toxic fumes when burned in. Galvanized steel and metal is not intended to ever be burnt. I just uploaded a video about this. :/ Also already installed in my skoolie.

You should fire that moron who installed a tube alone the frame like that.. Most people run the wiring through the frame... Would be a nightmare trying to install a swing back bolt on trailer jack onto the frame.

These fridges in Australia are branded Brass Monkey. I have the 22L version running 24/7 with 160w solar & 100ah deep cycle battery, as a drinks/beer fridge in the car. Paid $299AUD, great for the price I think

To late now but they sell heavy construction paper on a roll, you roll it out run it up the wall a bit then cut it with a razor knife then use it as a template. Could also buy a contour gauge, they are cheap and perfect for this stuff.

I added a rack to pot the wood on so you have airflow under it it burns fine now

I was pushing the power button for a couple seconds and it displayed a A1 setting then did some random readings and came back set to C instead of F and some other odd settings. What does A1 in the display mean??? What happened?? BTW I bought mine from the Costco monster corp..LOL
