Really hard to say. Most important is to be positive even if you aren't getting any traction. But keep doing what you love doing so that eventually the TH-cam algorithm will pick it up and help you to succeed (but if it don't try doing it a bit differently). if you feel like it's going the direction you want it to. Like I feel like I am right now due; I'm doing better than I ever did and I enjoy making these videos. So the best advice is to stay focused, take rests and always strive to improve your content and stay productive thinking! I use Adobe Premiere Pro but you can use free software alternatives like Shotcut or DaVinci Resolve.

I can appreciate the positive outlook that this might have had on preventing bots but its clear as day and night that wasn't the focus. Do you think Valve really cares? I highly doubt with their perfect ethics of preventing cheaters and bots they'd just update the architect when it was made for performance reasons. And why would they lie? And to clarify, those who look in an deep into Valve's background you can see that they really aren't going to do anything as drastic to ruin others experience like this for no good. You can't even seem to run tf2 as 32-bit but I hear that you can if you do it somehow via the executable. But anyway the update had many conflicts with low end PC's and most people don't have 32-bit processors in 2024 so it was a safe update in that regard. Valve would unlikely try to prevent bots this way to due let's compare their other attempts. Disabling voice chat and chat features on F2P accounts completely (You can access chat and vc on community servers) Which just proves the point that is this too drastic imo. You know there's Raspberry Pi OS that support of 64-bit out of the gate as of recently. (2 years ago now...) but yes, these systems are more expensive as their newer and more complex but bot makers really don't give a damn about our opinions or thoughts on the manner. There's no inherent reason a 32-bit client can't still play. This would only stop them if the update was intentionally made incompatible with older versions. The game's online communication protocol is probably still the same.

@@matthewrease2376 Same with offsets. Probably still the same so the only thing cheaters had to do was update their visual studio settings in their .dll project to 64-bit which is by default nowadays. And you don't even need to rework the code just make sure binaries are up-to-date.

Sounds like it's more stable and it's actually playing it in queue but its not playing it outloud. I am not a engineer or a programmer or even experienced this issue but can you check if this issue is just on casual or on community servers as well? And to be honest you might be using a config that is causing issues. Probably try to restore default sound settings if you can.

I was wondering about this too. From what I've heard from other players, bots seem to be more prevalent, possibly because of localized servers.

I have my reasons for feeling like an aged old man. First, I have been playing this game for over 10 years, since 2014. That means I spent most of my childhood playing it, making me quite experienced. I've seen it all many times, and now it feels like a foggy mirror. Perhaps that's why crafting doesn't interest me as much anymore. Second, I can't count! (joke)

Exactly! It's unfortunate that there's no perfect solution to the performance issue but then again something is better than nothing (the old way).

Hard to say. Perhaps test other beta's in the Properties of TF2 in Steam?

Sadly the performance won't increase unrealistically. You'll have to upgrade hardware or await more updates. Personally I try to use configurations I edit to ensure I get stability and performance. Some multi-core/multi-threading causes crashing so be careful!

Are you sure your not using wrong commands? Make sure your using proper syntax/quoting when making binds. And are they being reset each time you launch the game or is it just giving you errors whenever you manually type them?

Try to bind Mouse4 and Mouse5 in the game settings. See what does appear.

@@andruspolanco6935 Support them or not the option is nice. But I agree with you, and to be honest there's less reasons to use dx80 due to it disabling a lot of TF2's cosmetics or breaking maps. I don't have any information about maps breaking but using older DirectX levels causes graphic issues for unsupported hardware. DirectX levels isn't necessarily a config unless you count changing any settings as a config or mat_dxlevels.

Do you really think it's a bad thing? Also why were you running 80 and not 81? From my own testing and experience and others, its a lot more common and acceptable to use 81 rather than 80 which is less stable and has worse performance. Unless you needed it for hardware support or crashing...

Sorry, but I can't fix issues if I am not experiencing them or without details about the crash. Do you crash from joining valve servers or community? Have you tried making your own local server by playing with tf2 bots?

That's good! I didn't really try any other values besides 81 which is known to be most stable and best for performance. So when I tried that and it failed I thought it'd be the same for each one. But if 80 works that's great for some who have issues with anything above that.

@@asadi145 Well I know that now. I tried it two days ago. 60, 70, 80, 81 all are not available after 64-bit update, so you can only use 90, 95, 98 or 100.
