I love your videos. Informative and fun. But Luke please please get a microphone! Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks! I'll definitely try to improve the audio in future videos! The funds are a bit low at the moment 😅
Thank you for sharing your video How many amps do you normally get from the itechworld 150 w panels I’m looking at these myself mate And do you have an update discount code Cheers
In good sun we get 22amps from 4 panels on the roof but my panels aren’t mounted very flat because of the curve of the roof so the panels on each end face in different directions 😅
Loved seeing you guys at Bullara ! What a fun few days! xxx
It was so good! Miss you guys
Random comment.... Is your plant in caravan real .... Did you Cross the WA Border with no issues ( if you come from another state with it on board) we had to surrender all of our plant's including our huge cactus that was about to flower... We had a similar vine that was about 2 metre... Cheers
@@6packcrusinAUS oh nooo! because we knew we were heading straight to WA we didn’t buy any plants until we got there, stoked up in Kununurra after crossing the border 😆
@AsWeWander no worries 👍, we have replaced our plants in Esperance.. our fault I guess
Fabulous video, one of my favourites from you. I've followed you for a long while and love how natural and simple this story is, just life on the road with your little family. I'm so sick of the many other travel vloggers that are always selling me something or making out their trip down the Hume Highway is some sort of dramatic extreme adventure! Keep on being you!
Awesome guys Ocie is adorable 💕
Thank you! ☺️
Great episode guys, your beautiful personalities really show on camera
Thank you, we’re just trying to be ourselves. 🤍
Loved this ep..as usual …Ocie is the cutest 💕
Thanks! Ocie has definitely got the travel bug.

Probably my fav vid of you guys! Felt like I was there with you. Love seeing the inside of the van and how you guys live/travel/eat. Top part of the world!
Thank you! We’re slowly finding our groove and starting to feeling more natural at vlogging. It’s so beautiful on the Ningaloo and the camps are incredible
Emu export is going to lead to chaos.
Haha, You’re not travelling WA without a bush cook or two that’s for sure 🤣
We just got to Quobba and your video came up at Quobba haha what a coincidence.
Haha that’s awesome! Such a beautiful place 🤩
Awesome to see traveling with old rig and old van..Better then all the mod cons , everything that opens and shuts , all other TH-camrs run with..Well done..
We're pretty happy with our setup and our old van! Sometimes less is more.
10 kilometres to 14 mile? What fuckery is this?
I love it that you guys get by without all the hype and commercialism. You have a great tug and a beautiful van - both doing the job. Also great that you stay away from all the people. I mean we call it "getting away from it all". Very cool.
Thanks! We’re naturally very calm people that love this lifestyle and we’re just showing it how it is. We love our little setup, it’s been great and getting us everywhere we want to go. There’s nothing worse than driving hours into remote locations and parking a meter away from another camper 🫠
@@AsWeWander You guys are my kind of people and if we play our cards right, we will never meet while camping :)
Thanks guys, great as always. Love seeing what you cook on your travels 🌸💕
Thank you! Glad you liked it, this vlog nearly turned into a cooking show 😅
How did it go getting the engineering certificate for the drawbar / chassis
What tools did you use to remove all the old mastic I brought a blue wheel because it was recommended but no way am I using it seems to aggressive??
Also what grit paper did you use I was thinking 125?
I just used a paint scraper and mineral turps, it took awhile and there’s probably easier ways to do it but I got there eventually. I think it was 180grit paper I use for a light sand before cleaning and painting
@@AsWeWanderso I don’t have to go back to bare aluminium looks like you went over the old paint?
@@ShaunAddison no you don't have to, we just sanded the original paint then wiped it all down and primed the surface. That was the advice given to me by the white knight help line
@@AsWeWander thankyou good to know I will do a light sand over every section with the orbital than prime etc
I was wondering how you ran the new cabling to your lights, fans etc? I don’t recall you taking wall sheets off to be able to run a lot of new wires in the walls??
It was a mission and I should have filmed it 😅 a lot of it I just ran through the cabinetry and if I needed to go up the walls i used the old cables as a draw wire or made a hole where I wanted the fan/switches and dropped a cable down, just check there’s no cross bars in the way
@@AsWeWander ok thanks for clarifying this !
I have seen you have had this now for a few months and have done some travelling in some hot weather. How has the unit performed as we are setting up a camper very similar and want a good a/c setup
We have been using it but on the really spicy days in full sun it doesn’t cool the entire van and it’s because we’re not insulated but we just put the unit in front of us and it cools us down. It works better at cooling the van at night so we can sleep comfortably. Surprisingly we’ve used it a lot as a heater which works well at heating the entire van
W.A. is the biggest nanny state in Oz. They do nothing in the name of recreational pursuits. We are being systematically locked out of our own country areas. Welcome to country... what a load of crap.

Where did you buy your cables, fuse box, lugs etc from?
We got the cables and fusebox from jaycar and the lugs from A1 battery pro.
Nice to meet you guys in Rainbow the other week 🌈
Thanks for stopping and saying hello it was great to meet you. You motivated me to edit some more videos after our chat
Hi Guys. I watched this video when you first uploaded it, I was going through warranty with my DCDC40 at the time and was happy to see the system has treated you well. Itechworld were very good with my issues and replied to all my emails within 15min. I got a replacement DCDC40 no problems and the system was running perfectly. 3 weeks later the new one has also died. I'm pretty bummed. I see you have the same charger. I know you're sponsored by them so I'm not convinced i'll get an accurate answer, but thought its worth asking anyway. Have you had an issues with your DCDC40? Or have you heard of people having issues? Right now the issues aren't really a drama, but next year i'll be doing a lap of Aus and the last thing i want is it to fail in the middle of nowhere. Cheers, Tim
Hey Tim, oh no that’s annoying that the charger has died on you. Even though the products were sponsored we’d never not share our true opinion on the products or how they are performing. We’ve been really lucky to have no issues at all with our own system including the DCDC40. I hope you’re having luck with them replacing the second one? Have they said what it might be?
@@AsWeWander That’s good to know. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky. They have been really good and already have a new one in the post. I saw online that someone had the same issue as me around the same time as my first one. I’m thinking there may be a bad batch. Anyway, stoked to hear how your system performed. We are counting down the months now before we head off. Cheers.
Did you add any insulation behind the rear wall that you replaced?
Nah not much point with a poptop and glass windows
Thanks why did you not paint the front of the van are you going to be checker plating it?
@@ProspectorShaun we planned on doing a vinyl padding but still haven’t gotten anyone to make it yet 😅 hopefully soon
Don't you mean Frazer Island
@@johnfairweather3178 it’s called K’gari now (the k is silent) which means paradise and that describes the place better than some blokes name.
@@AsWeWander quite happy to all it "the Fraser coast" @ 01:50 though... I guess woke shit when it suits hey....?
@@rp3874 I don’t get caught up to much on this and that, the island is back to its traditional name and the area is called Fraser coast. It doesn’t matter what people think of me saying the names of places I just like to film the beautiful places we go.
that's really odd that the 12ht is getting hot. that's not normal. fantastic videos guys! really well done
@@CrumpShane1 thank you! Yeah we worked out the fan hub wasn’t working at 100% so we replaced that and now it’s handling the hot days perfectly fine
Shes really pretty but ive got no idea what shes saying 😂
Awesome video guys and thanks Luke for sharing so much information and to have real time stats and numbers as high as them is unbelievable. Just shows what products are great to use and stand with companies with quality gear 🤙🏽
Thanks guys! Yeah the numbers blew us away we couldn’t be happier with the gear and the whole setup has been a dream 🙌🏼
How do you connect the solar blanket panel to the system? Through the dc dc charger? I also bought your system, havnt installed yet
Yeah we ran the solar input on the dcdc charger to an external anderson plug. Nice! Such a good kit 👌🏼
Interior colors and materials very relaxing, overall very nicely done, enjoy yourselves
Thanks so much!
I just happen to have installed the exact same system (incl. extra solar panel) and you have made my day! No matter how much research u do, actual usage over a period of time is the ultimate test. Thx for sharing, I now have actual (awesome) numbers for any nay-sayers! Happy Travels…. Ps I’m about to by an induction cooktop and fridge…. BTW, what’s ridge are u running? Cheers, Andy
That’s awesome! We’re glad we made your day, there’s no better test than what we’ve put this gear through. The fridge is the Thetford DE105 COMPRESSOR REFRIGERATOR - 105L. We like this one because it’s got the biggest freezer for its size, been great and running no stop for 14 months but you do need to defrost the freezer frequently. Thanks for watching

Gooday guys. I've been watching your build series for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it. I'm doing a grand tourer poptop and you guys have saved me days of wondering and pondering so thankyou.. I have a question from left field though if i may. My wife and i grew up in mac town during the 60s and 70s and we both think Mrs as we wander is a spitting image of a childhood friend of my wife, so if i may, was your mum/ gran named Jan and by chance did she grow up in Forgan st? sorry if this seems a bit strange but wowsers you are like a trip back in time when we see you on our screens..
hey there! Jess here, sorry that's not me I must have a lookalike. I grew up down in Melbourne. I am glad the videos have been of help :)

Hi mate, it all looks great butt if something does go wrong and yes it’s Sod’s Law you need a back up. You wouldn’t take your family on a trip without a spare wheel would you? So why not carry a bottle of gas just in case something does go wrong. Good luck Jon WA
Hey mate can you send the link for plug that you need for the back of the fridge
nice but be careful of leaches if its wet
Hey guys, I know I’m a few years late lol love this interior and wondering if you can remember what the fabric was and colour etc that you used for the seat cushions? Love it 😍
It was from Warwick fabrics and it’s called Eastwood, colour is fawn
