Thanks so much for this tutorial…I think the paper makes such a difference to getting such fine, soft texture as I’ve been trying to to achieve that on pastelmat but find it too coarse to get that effect….but that could just be my technique!!☺️

I love your tutorials and would be interested in your patreon. I have a set of 50 Faber Castell polychromes 50 set and don’t want to have to buy individual pencils. I live in a foreign country, very remote so everything I need has to be ordered online.

Important notes from the lesson: • always use sharpened pencils • very light layers to create mixes. • undertones and placements of light and shadows • blend after every few layers to check if the colors' temperature is good. • don't think too much about the texture of the paper until the end, where you can blend and lighten. • work in sections • negative spaces • light pressure always before blending
