How to clear "Radar Cruise Control unavailable" message in a Toyota or Lexus.
Toyota or Lexus and some other vehicles equipped with a front radar that makes some driving safety features possible can stop working and gives a message on the dashboard like " Radar Cruise Control unavailable". Snow and ice accumulation in the front radar can block the radar signal. It's easy to clear the messages by wiping off whatever is stuck to the radar as shown in this video.

    What if I just needed to reprogram it? My mother has this 7111L model, but it stopped working after I changed her car battery. She usually presses the remote button 2 times, and the lights would blink twice and turn the powers on. Then when I press the button a third time after that I’d when it would usual start. Now it would just try to start, but wouldn’t complete the start.. I hope I could find that program wire, hopefully it wasn’t missing like this vehicle in the video. Please let me know when you the chance? Thank You!

      @@user-oz3bu3qz5t I'm not a professional installer, but I can give you a hint that I hope it may work. Look for the antenna for the device. It is usually installed on the top middle of the windshield, since you don't have to reprogram the clicker, there is a button at the antenna to reset the system. I don't have much information about how to do it, but if you search for info for resetting the system that may help. And you don't have to buy any wires.

    When you flushed it out and filled the tank and start the engine, did it immediately drop down that you would need to add more coolant? Because I have 2022 Toyota Camry hybrid, and when i started the engine, it didn’t drop down. The most I added was 2/3 of an inch over time. To make it full. But it didn’t drop down like a few inches down. Is that normal?

    • @PickyOne
      @PickyOne 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ehsanull If you drain it by removing the bottom pit cock and let it completely drain, it'll drop around an inch or two. What I do, is to refill it one inch above the full line, and when I start the car, it drops slightly under the full line, then I add coolant up to the full line. One extra inch above the line is good enough since it's not going to reach down to the level of the bottom hose.

    • @ehsanull
      @ehsanull 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ yes I drained it from pit cock, it got out a lot of coolant, the only concern I have is when I filled the tank up, and start the engine, I was expecting it drop down a lot and I would immediately add more coolant again. So is it normal?

    • @PickyOne
      @PickyOne 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's normal, even if the level is above the FULL line. The inverter cooling circulation is very basic, and it does not get very hot and expand like the engine side. The only problem is if you run the car with an empty inverter coolant reservoir, or the level goes near or below the lower hose. The lower hose then will suck air instead of coolant. Other than that, you're fine.

I bought belt dressing and it wirks for about 5 minutes, but upon accelaration it returns. I previoysly had another mechanic chabge that belt. I spoke to two new mechanics which both stated that the belt used is too loose, not correct belt. I live in Cancun Mexico, where mechanics are very shady, more than the US. Hello sir. My wife's Honda will turn over but not start. Did what your video said and still did not work. I noticed that the key light would come on in the instrument cluster. So I put the key in the first position, and it starts runs for a minute and then shuts off. If I put the key in the second position, it runs and does its thing properly. I know it's been a while since you made this video, but is there any suggestion? Thanks

    • @PickyOne
      @PickyOne 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nathanhale3006 I'm not a professional installer, and this video was made only to cover how to program a new clicker for a well-functioning remote start device. I never had a problem with the device itself since it was installed at the dealership. Sorry I don't have a clear answer for your question, but I believe every remote starter needs to do two to three steps in order to finalize the clicker order and start the car remotely: 1. Bypass car security, just like turning your key from lock position to ACC, and bypass the non-existence of a physical security chip key near the steering column. 2. Turn on the ignition without start, just like turning your key to the ON position where all the dash lights will turn on. 3. Trigger the starter for a few seconds then go back to position/step two. In this case the car will keep remotely running till the end of the programmed period, or till somebody pushes the brake pedal without inserting the key, or till the driver gets in and takes over by inserting and turning the key to the ON position. So, I believe you need to re-program or check the main device wiring.

      @@petrdrbal10 Clean the throttle body while it's detached. Put an old towel under it and give it a nice shower of throttle cleaner from both sides. The towel prevents the cleaner from dripping on the exhaust, otherwise you'll get a nice cloud of smoke once you start the van. Another thing is to replace the rear 3 coils, I didn't, two years later the rear middle coil went bad, and I have to redo the work again but it was easier since I didn't have to change the plugs, I got 6 coils DENSO from RockAuto. Air filter and PCV valve are up to you since you can get easy access to them anytime.

    I just followed your instructions this afternoon (7/6/2024) on my 07 Sienna and was able to change my speed sensor within 30 minutes. What took me the longest was trying to take out some old rusted screws that were holding on to the air filter clamp for dear life, lol. No, this service mode is for the engine (for diagnostic and after oil change to circulate the oil through the new filter). For Toyota newer models equipped with EPB (Electronic Emergency parking brakes), you need to put the EPB in service mode (to move the EPB out of the way in order to replace the rear pads, it has its own procedure that requires you to push/ pull the parking brake button multiple time in certain sequence, or use a scan tool ( I used XTool 7).
