Is it normal to feel this on the left sode? Mine the left
@@jodieaustin579 it can be either on the right or left or both sides, depends on baby’s position.
My left butt hurts. Im in so much pain while walking or sitting, trying to get up from bed etc. 29 weeks now. Want to ask abt the piriformis stretch. Do I have to fold my right leg and bend toward the right? ( my pain is in the left butt only)
If your pain is on the left side, you will want to stretch the left, so folding the left leg and bending toward the left.
Can we sleep on back in 22 week
Hello, please talk to your provider as everyone is different. As mentioned in the video, if you do not have symptoms while sleeping on your back (dizziness, light headed, nausea, feeling unwell), it is normally fine. New studies suggest that after 28 weeks it would be preferable to sleep on your side, or elevate yourself with pillows if you want to sleep on your back. But check with your provider :)

Hi Sophie! In my second trimester. I do yoga and the instructor is having me contract the pelvic floor/lifting the pelvic floor on the inhale. And releasing on the exhale. I find contradictory information online and it is super confusing. Does it make a difference?
@@despinababi2318 I know it can be confusing as some yoga / Pilates teachers teach different methods. The rationale for contracting on the exhale is to follow the natural relationship between the diaphragm and the pelvic floor at rest. When we exhale, the diaphragm goes up and so does the pelvic floor. When we inhale, the diaphragm goes down and the pelvic floor follows. So by contracting on the exhale and releasing on the inhale, we are simply following that natural mechanic if that makes sense. For many of my clients, we were able to achieve a much better contraction and release by doing it that way, making their practice more efficient. However I always say if it is counter intuitive to you and you’ve been doing it the other way for years, it may not be necessary to change the way you do things if it works for you. I would recommend getting assessed by a pelvic floor PT to check if your activation and release is efficient with your technique and go from there. By testing both ways, they will tell you what’s best moving forward and if it’s worth investing energy into changing your technique. Hope this helps!
amazing! I immediately felt much less pain after these simple quick exercises! I am at 13 week end of first trimestre now.... Thank you soooo much!

We can't wait!!!
Also, could you please help, if I have more streched than the size of my partner, won't I feel less pleasure after I have stretched more?
The tissues are elastic, if you stretch slightly more than your partners size it is not going to impact pleasure.
Why can't I use normal vibrator different sizes?
Yes you could do that.
The hip pain at 19 weeks is almost unbearable.. 😫

Does this help for incompetent cervix too ?
Thanks for your question, I cannot comment on this since you are asking about a medical condition. This is something you should discuss with your health care provider.
FYI at 4:00 you aren't using biceps, you're using the triceps off the fulcrum of your hands.
Hey thanks for your comment, indeed the triceps are the ones that are recruited to generate the strength to apply the pressure, however I just meant that the biceps are the ones in contact with the hip bones, just so people understand which part of their arms should be pressing against the bones if that makes sense.
@@BeyondBirthingPelvicFloorPT totally get it. i was confused at first wondering how flexing biceps would be comfortable for woman in labor.
Thank you I am also suffering this problem,31 weeks completed, i will follow your suggestion, very uncomfortable to walk 😢😢😢
Please let me know how it goes after following the suggestions. Look forward to hearing!
Thanks for the great advice!

Preparing for elective c-section. Thank you for this helpful video!! Any tips on how to avoid labor before elective csection schedule? ☺️☺️☺️
Unfortunately not :( Babies come whenever they come and there is not much we can do to control this!
I live in an upstairs apartment no avoiding stairs
Can they be minimalized? To allow rest as well.
Spot on, after go’ogling around I realized that everything by Merle Winestol was improved and now you can have her screaming with joy using a couple simple moves. What he teached before was pretty good, but now it’s on another level and she’s the one begging for more
Wow! You did extra research! Way to go! Thanks for Sharing
Hi Sophie, can we do the squat (3rd exercise) if we experience pelvic girdle pain? Thanks for your clarifications!
This is something that is difficult for me to answer since I have not assessed you and pelvic girdle pain can be multi factorial so I would refer to your provider for this. However as a general rule of thumb, if there is no increase in pain during or after the exercise, it should generally be okay to do, but I would still check with a professional who has assessed you first.
I'm 22 not pregnant (nor have I been) and still I have pain in that area 😭
Sorry to hear, Can you share more about the pain you are feeling?
xoxo
Thank You!
Hi i am 5 month pregnant and suffering from this pain. Turning on bed exaggerates my pain. Can i do these exercises?
Yes absolutely. Highly recommend to turn in bed using a "log roll" strategy (shoulders and hips are all moving at the same time and aligned with each other - rather than having your hips leading and shoulders following), and also have something in between your legs while you roll to keep your legs parallel (ex: thick pillow - not a thin one!).
Please see a chiropractor ASAP. I have the same pain and I'm 7 months pregnant. No amount of exercises helped. I just went to a chiropractor and she said she could have helped more had i come to her earlier
Thank you for sharing your experience.
CONGRATULATIONS ❤❤❤
Thank You!!
Woooo!! Go Sophie!!
Thank you! We are excited too.
