      Great question! Depending on the size of your bump, it may or may not be possible to do the stretch on yourself. But if you want to try, I suggest sitting on a comfy chair with your legs relaxed on both sides (as demonstrated in this video where I show the option sitting on a chair) and use your thumbs to stretch at 5 & 7 o'clock. If you don't have enough reach, investing in a device like the Epi-no or the Ani-ball would be my recommendation, however it is hard to get a hold on them if you are not located in Europe. Does that make sense?

    This was a great video and I’m very interested in the Epi-No but it does not ship to the USA. Is there another device similar that you would recommend?

      Some of our clients found it on Ebay, otherwise you could try the Ani ball (made in the UK) but again I think it is the same problem. If you have contacts in Europe it may be worth asking if they could ship it to you. When I recorded this video it was still distributed in Canada ... :(

      Hey! Thanks for your comment. Have you tried to look on Ebay? Some of our clients have found some on there. Otherwise yes if you have contacts in Europe (or someone you know who is travelling there soon) who can ship it to you, that can be a great option. The Ani ball is also another alternative (made in the UK) but again I don't think they ship to America, sadly. I was so lucky to get my Epino when it was still distributed in Canada! In terms of biofeedback I don't think it is the best tool for the job though - I think if you are to use it just for biofeedback I would rather go for proper biofeedback device for the pelvic floor. But if you are using it for both the stretch AND biofeedback, I agree that it can be worth it.

      @@BeyondBirthingPelvicFloorPT Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond, truly !!! The prices of the units on eBay and elsewhere are astronomical and not feasible unfortunately. I wanted the device both for birth prep (I'm 28 weeks pregnant, hypertonic pelvic floor, planning a home birth with nurse midwife) and biofeedback. I see a pelvis floor PT weekly and she suggested this device would be good for both biofeedback and birth prep, but did caution not to inflate to the degree the manufacturer recommends because she said the vaginal tissues are not prepared for that without birth hormones..? Not sure how true that is, but I highly doubt I would even come close anyways so may be a moot point. I don't love the idea of *only* having a biofeedback device because 1) they are expensive and only do one thing and not both things I need and 2) most of them are digital and I like the idea of something analogue, especially ones that let you dilate and could potentially do the job of both dilators and biofeedback. What other devices might you recommend to me with this information, and/or would you recommend I go with the Epi-No and just find a way to get it shipped to the US (like a shipping middle man company)?

      The epino’s natural tendency is that it wants to get out so the whole time you need to hold it in order to keep it in. So once you want to take it out, you are just allowing it to come out on its own by releasing your pressure from your hand. Does that make sense?

    I am in tears watching this video and reading the research, it feels like such a relief that I can adjust my sleeping positions during the night because I've been sleep deprived due to pain in my hips and knees and feeling anxious about falling asleep on my back as I am now 21 weeks. I had put a pillow behind me, preventing me from falling asleep on my back, but that left me with a lot of back pain. I also did the exercise against the wall with a wool dryer ball and felt a lot of relief from that as wel. Thank you so much! Love from Sweden

    Hello I don't know how to explain whether it's a sickness or what,I visit bathroom frequently after every minute am almost delivering still urinating frequently

      @@LydiaOlivia-sq7jk sometimes it is happening once baby has dropped before delivery - there is not much you can do about it unfortunately!
