I thought Simon was a asshole to at first too when i watched it, but he redeems himself later on. He actually cares a lot about those girls and seeing now how much creative freedom they have now and the fact the girls are not forced to do plastic surgery or go on those extreme diets to fit certain beaty standards which happens a lot in kpop, it's just really refreshing to see. In a normal idol group you would never see a girl with a buzz cut and neck tattoo (Chisa got one recently) they are free to express themself like they want. Simon was also a idol himself so he knows what it takes and ofc he is not perfect and it's his first time training artists from scratch so yea some of the things he say/do is questionable, he is def the best CEO out of any idol group I've seen, these girls have so much freedom compared to other idol groups. 23:05 if you dont love KINGDOM COME you do not exist in my eyes. im not even an RV fan but that song is way too good for KPOP.. way too good for SMtown.. way too good for RV. the rest of the songs are very good.. especially LOOK which is an amazing KPOP track made by Sumin and Jinbo but Kingdom Come isn't Kpop.. its beyond Kpop. imho its even beyond Aaliyah / TLC / SWV levels of music. production wise its still kpop yes.. its compressed to a sandwich and the vocals are mixed too loud cause kpop fans dont care about objective audio engineering they just wanna hear their fav idols louder than the music which kinda defeats the whole meaning of MUSIC but that composition.. that singing line.. that cadence.. even if I personally do not like RV's voices.. especially Seulgi's nasal ewwww voice I still hold Kingdom Come as top 10 best kpop songs ever made. I have a request: for you to listen to a song called Ddaeng by BTS and then an explanation video of that song (there is a specific video which is explained by a Korean). I feel like this will give you a generally better understanding of the fact that Korean doesn’t translate well at all. It will also maybe give you a better understanding of the lyrical genius that RM is, because right now you appreciate him the least I think. Everyone has got different taste of course, but the English translations just don’t give him enough credit. Additionally if you have time, I would like to see you react to spring day with an explanation video. That would give you an understanding of the political topics that BTS addresses in their music. Pretty wild take on that stage presence thing considering XG is one of the few groups that has stage presence and have genuine stage presence. For the korean shows I agree they disappear coz it makes them just do tye choreo(and it annoys me how they make them lipsync or have loud backtracks coz they deffy can do shit live haha). I recommend watching their performance on Head in the Clouds on NY/LA. Its their first time performing in front of a large crowd but they did it like they've been doin it for a while
