I thought Simon was a asshole to at first too when i watched it, but he redeems himself later on. He actually cares a lot about those girls and seeing now how much creative freedom they have now and the fact the girls are not forced to do plastic surgery or go on those extreme diets to fit certain beaty standards which happens a lot in kpop, it's just really refreshing to see. In a normal idol group you would never see a girl with a buzz cut and neck tattoo (Chisa got one recently) they are free to express themself like they want. Simon was also a idol himself so he knows what it takes and ofc he is not perfect and it's his first time training artists from scratch so yea some of the things he say/do is questionable, he is def the best CEO out of any idol group I've seen, these girls have so much freedom compared to other idol groups. They just did a interview on the Zach Sang Show while they were touring in the US if ur interested in seeing that, they also confirm there how much they are in on everything production/music wise
I had the same exact thoughts when the dancing evaluation scene came up ngl. Had to look away. I understand its just a style of dancing they gotts learn but still, it just feels off. And damn, I also got mad humbled when I saw the 80K on insta 💀 I guess there were indeed ppl that would judge em over a selfie lmao. I still didnt like how he name dropped the girl who did it infront of the whole group tho, thats just uncalled for.
I cant believe i agree with you but i do. You might be the first one that reacted the same way i did to Simon's photo speech to teenage girls. RESPECT ? wtf thats not even relevant. This dude has done the things he told the girls NOT to do a lot worse lmao. Anyway, you will see how fierce Cocona is in this docu series.
