LUNG KING HEEN: The First 3 Michelin-Starred Chinese Restaurant
Lung King Heen is a legendary fine dining Cantonese restaurant located in the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. Led by Chef de Cuisine Chan Yan-Tak.
In 2009, it became the first Chinese restaurant to ever receive a 3 Michelin Star. Since, it has achieved 3 Star status for 14 consecutive years. However, in 2023, it lost a Star.
Chef Tak pioneered a number of concepts/dishes. I was thrilled to have the pleasure to dining here and enjoy some of his signature dishes.
If you're ever in Hong Kong, this is a must stop dining experience!

My private Omakase at a One Michelin Star restaurant | Sushi Saito Hong Kong
มุมมอง 4.7K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sushi Saito Tokyo is one of the most difficult and sought after Omakase experiences in the world. While I'm determined to find a way to receive an invite, Sushi Saito Hong Kong is a fantastic introduction to Sushi Saito Tokyo. Part of the draw at Sushi Saito Hong Kong is due the mythical status of Sushi Saito Tokyo. However, Sushi Saito Hong Kong can also stand on its own. It was a fantastic me...

I stayed at Rosewood Hong Kong during its opening week in March of 2019 and have spend over 70 cumulative nights there. I've also booked many clients at this property. Due to its recent prestigious awards, many people have asked why I like this hotel so much. I figured I'd make a review to showcase it to you all. Hope you enjoy it! I really like that jacket. Where is that from?
Great video. I would love to hear your thoughts of the Aman in Wyoming as well
Hi..can I get your email id
Cost?
How much was your stay?
Sorry but presenting a luxury villa with a boxed pizza and can of coke?? 😂 I must be out of touch
everyone should stop giving a crap about michelin. They don't know jack about chinese or asian food. Michelin has caused the death of several famous french chefs. Stop listening to michelin.
you're the fking best that happens to hong kong man. please promote more of the city for us.
One of my favorite places on the planet! Was just back at Rosewood Hong Kong a few weeks ago. City is beautiful as ever! Cheers.
Can your cameraman please stop moving. Unwatchable.
how do you get michaline i think its only a bunch of white people going into a restaurant liking it
nice review you should try meeting up with Mark Weins you guys would have a great time reviewing restaurants :)
Perfect for Americans !
Who decided that having a man with a thick accent AND wearing a mask was a good idea?
Nice video. Some comments mention the fixing of the camera which I agree. It is too shaky sometimes. Put it on a tripod and leave it there, or get a gimbal. Gimbal also stabilizes images. Hope you make much more videos!
twat
So what are the other 2 hotels?!
I tried to reseve a table for two for lunch a month prior to my arrival in Hong Kong, but they were totally booked. But I got a table for dinner, no problem. Hope their dinners are as good as their famous lunches!
Helenlai judges you on how you hold your chopsticks. It's a food revue video, stupid!
I worked at Sushi Shikon in 2013 and Chef Yoshitake would bring us here on Sundays whenever he visited HK. Very nostalgic.. Cantonese cuisine is top-tier!
Sushi Shikon in HK is owned by Yoshitake too. Have you tried?
Price?
Why are you lumping an entire continent together. That’s weird. Turkey, Japan, and India are all in Asia and yet are so different from each other.
your english is kinda funky. can exactly pinpoint the origin but it's clear it wasn't your 1st language.
If I see staff wearing masks Im not dining there…what a joke..what are you in a hospital? Stupid people…
pretty sure is not the first
really enjoyed the pacing of this video. loved seeing the chef and manager give their thought process in the beginning. i know some comments mention you being too front and center in the video - but i respectfully disagree. i really enjoyed your thoughts and commentary. it adds a more personable element that can’t be simply copied from any other food reviewer/commentator. keep it up!
Just don't rely on fake Chinese to tell you how great Chinese food tastes and should be, when you cannot even rightly hold and use chopsticks, it tells a lot
There is one in Paris
is this like kid's lunch menu or something lol.... how did they even get 3 stars with THAT?
I do the same
When you were in the kitchen, you were wearing a black shirt (sweater?). Then, when you were dining, your shirt (sweater) is white.
Great eye. I changed between the kitchen and waiting for lunch in my dinning room. I didn't want to wear my white sweater in the kitchen in case I bumped into any oil or sauce or something.
Proof he doesn't have one 😂😂😂
great video ty
its ass
Why Michelin-starred? Why not let Asians judge Asian foods?
Is there something preventing Asians from judging their food?
RimoVa
Bro please send me remix Sam cook lol
its CANTONESE RESTURANT not 'chinese'. Gtfo with this generalisaiton and f the communist regime.
Me and my family visited HK in 2019 for around 2 weeks, stayed at that hotel every day. It’s definitely one of the best hotels I’ve been to.
I doubt the food tasted any better than street food at a fraction of the cost, lavish surroundings don't improve the taste.
Food looks underwhelming and overpriced. Thanks for the advertisement.
Miáo (苗) means shoot, as in a tender plant growth; miao of peas (doumiao) are probably the most common & popular but there are miao of other veggies like sweet potato
I was here a few years ago when it had 3 stars. To be honest, I was not impressed, and quite disappointed. The price was not crazy, but it just didn't deliver. Some of the items on the tasting menu were bland. Perhaps a bad night. The Chairman in Central, has 3 stars, and deserves it.
Nice, thanks. But the person filming you must get a steady hand. This wiggling makes it very hard to watch, I quit halfway.
THanks for your feedback. Will improve.
pretentiousness lol
I tried making a reservation at another equally highly rated restaurant THE CHAIRMAN and they are fully booked until the end of December this year!!!
nice
putting your hands under your food while you eat it, the weirdest thing real Asians never do.
It’s a weird preoccupation with people who probably cannot manoeuvre a pair of chopsticks to break the food and then bring the morsel to ones mouth gracefully! Why is he eating such beautifully made food with his fingers? Please don’t lower your head onto the food when eating. You should always bring it up to your mouth. Otherwise stick to reviewing street food.
How can you promote a Restaurent that has lost a star. Find out why!
You need to work on explaining food better. A lot of audiences do not work in the food/beverage industry. For example, explain the texture difference between the two kinds of egg tarts. Don't just say what it is and how it tastes to you. Camera angle needs to be fixed on the food more versus you. Good luck
I’m inclined to agree with this comment. Need better shots of the food. You have way too much screen time. All the sit down shots of you make it seem like you’re a show host or some celebrity lol. It’s slightly off putting tbh as the food should be the star here not you, maybe one day you can pivot but not for a new channel. Obviously it’s a balance with wanting to build your audience, but the food shots seem like an afterthought. Good editing though.
He did wonderful idk what you’re talking about!
I appreciate the feedback. Will work on it. This was one of my first two food videos (had no idea how to showcase it) so it's great to get feedback. More and hopefully better videos to come. Thanks.
I agree, wasn’t impressed with Dim Sum, It’s Dim Sum in a nice setting, this place doesn’t do volume for sure, look how empty the place is. Trying to say that elevate 3 star, imagine all the Dim Sum around the corner packed.
@@haotanglove your hospitality content and you diving in food more would also be awesome. Glad to see you take the feedback with maturity and composure.
