This was a local match I caught a few years ago between classes. I enjoy completion shooting, though I don’t get to do it nearly as often as I’d like to.

Investing in the best helmet on the market
This old man is tripping, 2019 I saw nato dudes in Iraq wearing them
And believe you me, they sure as fuck didn’t want them.
Ruined it with a capo.
A capo?
Good to know. My optics and wml’s I stick with primarys. But for my everyday use handhelds, it hurts putting primarys in every couple weeks
The rechargeables have been great for training but I stick with fresh lithium primaries for work.
Fantastic. Thank you Sam.
The sf rechargeable have been working good. Like to use them in 1cell helmet light mawl and NVG . Just need to cycle them more than standard non rechargeable 123 when training. I won’t use them in weapon or hand held lights though.
Honestly, I’ve been using the sf rechargeable batteries on my EDC hand light for 2 years and had no issues.
No one is going broke paying $2 to swap their eotech's battery before heading to the range to send hundreds of dollars of lead down range. The real roll of rechargeable is for off grid sustainment when more batteries are no longer a next-day delivery away. This is true of all batteries, and it's great to have a Surefire alternative for the c123s. I have a no-name 3.0v rechargeable that's been working for me, but I'll happily swap to these 3.2v Surefires for that added peace of mind. Glad to know these exist.
Wouldn’t the break even be closer to 12 charges?
Hell yeah, thanks for the video Sam
I was just wondering about these rechargeables. Thanks.
Didn't this same thing happen to Nick Chen a couple years ago too
Different circumstances but a theft occurred
Always shut off remote lock/unlock on your rental or POV when you have sensitive/expensive equipment stored inside. I'm sure it's common in Las Vegas for people to run keyfob cloners/spoofers targeted at rental cars, but the timing of this seems targeted. At a minimum if they didn't know what specifically they were going to get it seems like they knew who they were hitting. It's a frustrating, sickening feeling.
Sorry about this, man. Ppl suck, I’m on the west coast and I use fb marketplace and offerup quite a bit. Items are prbly in Mexico but on the off chance I come upon a high spec dtnvs and coti I’ll reach out. Big takeaway here is Insurance. This is the stuff of nightmare.
Total bummer....I have always appreciated your material and effort on this channel. Until they open up a hunting season on the Cartels this will continue. Most people think the Cartel is just someone running a hoodie...little do they know it is businesses, lawyers and in Arizona....a US Senator. (I can guarantee a few Congressmen are also on the payroll).
Those scumbags will be back in January.
I bought (2) shirts. Was running low on TP.
dang. Sorry man. They will get theirs eventually. Best Wishes
Unrelated, but what do you consider as an acceptable EBI?
@@jackvandenberg4708 got a Patreon video about that and numerous articles published explaining it. But in short if the maximum wasn’t good enough it wouldn’t be the maximum allowable. So run what ya brung and get out and train.
Do you like HK pistols at all? I alternate between my Glock's and HK VP9 but lately have taken more of a liking to the HK because of the trigger. Love your setup
@@jackvandenberg4708 personally no, I am Not a fan of HK pistols, specially their triggers aren’t consistent, and the aftermarket for them when compared to Glock isn’t very good. HK used to be one of the dominant pistol manufacturers in the world 20-30’years ago but have since really fallen off as they’ve taken more of an interest in long guns and let their pistol program fall to the wayside. If you look at the folks who have unlimited budgets and carry guns for a living they most certainly aren’t carrying H&K’s.
Nice, but it sounds like a hidden sales pitch.
Well I don’t sell anything except knowledge so I don’t see the sales pitch.
@atacorion I expected that reply, so all good. It wasn't like I didn't notice. As a result, I have a different takeaway.
@@gregchamberlain7554 very strange comments man. This is my channel, go somewhere else.
The housing is 100% upgradable now lol 3d printing and the night vision world has taken off ive turned all my 7's into monos
All of Sam's advice is good, but I can vouch for the Thermacell. It really works better than other solutions. It also works on other bugs besides mosquitos, like no see-ums.
Thermal optic and a gun set up for “night shooting”… the game wardens must love chasing after you
As if the Game Wardens could see me
I love my G45, fits every role well and is accurate and reliable. It's very satisfying out-shooting dudes in classes who run $3000 Staccatos with my stock Glock. I got to get that frame done up by Ben at Boresight. Keep up the great content bro.
Yep
Miss me with the Inferior pistol remark.. Look at all the work you did that that hunk of plastic...lol
You mean the stipple job? Because it’s now where near the price of a Staccato or other expensive 2011
Was interesting to see the Navy fly these next to my Shadow site
Nice run!
sick to see the uploads again 💪
Why not a 34 if you’re running a x300
Never truly cared for the 34
@ care to explain why?
@@Echo_6-9balance, sight radius (with irons), holster compatibility, inconsistency in their triggers across the board etc.
Inferior pistols...😁
👍
I got a great idea let’s throw everything nightvison related in the trash and only use white lights since we all know in this guy does not think affordable is a concern
Sounds like you missed the point entirely and lack critical thinking, I know this because you’re white knighting for the PVS-7
@ think your missing the point 8k vs 2k gen 3 pvs 2 exist who can afford to spend 8k in this economy
Thank you.
Brainless greed guy who betrays his customers.
lol wut. I don’t sell NV
So anyway I've got a pvs-7 omni vii on the way and I am so excited. Also great video, I like how you delivered the bit while making the performance seem sincere, even though this is clearly a sarcastic video making fun of people who take this stuff to seriously and act like eliteists.
Wow just wow
Fr. I cant believe this video is still up- that ratio must be insane.
Why are they so expensive? Because they can't charge the consumer less than their government contract and the government will buy them regardless of the price 🤣 So anything sold to the government will come with government inflated 10x+ the markup. There's also almost zero competition.
I see used PVS7s for 500-1500 bucks, I want to know what other options fall into that price point . Because if I’m picking up a second NVD for my wife to use I ain’t forking big dollars for it considering it will get minimal use.
For $250-500 more you can absolutely track down a used and probably higher performance PVS-14z
@@atacorion Yup, there's still deals around for 14's, I just bought a PVS-14 with a crappy blemmed OMNI IV tube for $1400 as a backup for my RNVG's with OMNI VII tubes. Looks like the used market or buying gen 3 GP tube PVS-14 refurbs from NVD devices for $1800 is the way to go for a poor over the 7's.
@@Chud9737you said it man, the only reason you buy a -7 these days is because you have Down’s syndrome
SF ?
While I didn't have anything "blatantly retarded", I did have a boatload of money into my kit. It was excellent kit. Surefire/Noveske/Trijicon/etc. It was very good on the square range by myself, or hunting, or whatever, and I liked it a fair bit. I then attended my first class in 2010 with this kit, and it was pretty horrible. I actually wished I had bought nothing, attended the class, paid to rent some kit, and then bought things based off of mine and other's experiences during the class. I would have saved money, skipped the painful (Yes literally, I had a single-point sling) aspect of learning, and been far better off. My problem was that I had a bunch of cool kit, and wanted to learn how to USE it. That's backwards. Learn to use it, and then buy the "cool" kit that fits your use case well. The only thing worse is buying a bunch of cool kit and pretending that you don't need to learn more and NOT attending a class. *My attendance was at a course other than TNVC/NF, but the advice applies.
Simple Green eats aluminum and this is why it's not allowed in Aerospace. However, there is an aluminum-safe version of it. Most rails and many light/NVG housings are made from Aluminum.
Dope
Simple green, cat crap, and a clp. Everyone should have it and use it. Cat crap is great not just for making sure lenses don’t fog up, but also for making it easier to clean carbon off light lenses.
I use this for hobbying stuff already...
A $220 Core Tactical Hel-Star 6 Gen III+ is probably budget overkill for most civilian use, but clones are available on Amazon for $32 or Aliexpress for $16.
Interesting application. I’ll use that.
Thanks
Trained with Mike last April. He has a wealth of knowledge. For a guy with one eyeball, he could shoot circles around everyone in the class
I ended up doing something similar to your ADM UIC, except I used an ACRO P2 on top of a Reptilia mount holding an LPVO so as not to compromise daytime usage. Sure, it could shave about a pound if I got rid of the NX8, but would be limited much more in daytime than 1# over the magwell limits me. Still gives an elevated night vision capable RDS.
Solid setup for sure
I know 1st Gen night vision is heavy and crap, but the PVS-5s and 7s look cool! Price sucks and I just want the surplus at surplus prices.
Don't buy an AR-15. It was developed in the 1950s. Don't shoot an M1911. It's a 20th-century antique. Don't shoot 45-70 Springfield. It's from the 1800s. Don't use gunpowder based weapons. They came from ancient China.
