I would suggest you pretty much forget about the animes entierly they are more a collection of highlights than proper adaptations and shouldn't be take into account as an impression of the franchise

I see a lot of people in the comments saying that Kakumei just isnt what original Dragon Ball is, and I agree However, one look at the artstyle should tell us that Kakumei ISNT trying to emulate Toriyama, its trying to be its own thing and expand on the lore in its own way Is it edgy and serious? ofc. But does it neglect its characters and storylines? Absolutely not

On the one hand, I didn't mind Son Bra all that much as a character, and felt that she was decently written. On the other, I stopped reading *long* before the Majin arc came to a close and the coming "Vegito is actually evil" twist turned out to just be him *justifiably* afraid of the damage his absurdly powerful and almost certainly psychotic daughter could cause.

I love manga and fan mangas thanks to Channel’s like these and channels that narrate the story for you my only problems with fan mangas be the pacing with I get you want to add this in or slow things down their not personals and I know that and the feeling of having to wait for the next chapter to release with no word or update only haveing to check their website or follow them witch I get their people with their own life’s and their not on a time frame to get these releases out weekly like other manga but I still love the manga and the art work

Vegito crossed a line when dealing with Son Bra after the Majin Rebellion. Only 2 people resisted Babidi's control, the rest being reduced to Babidi's puppets. Vegito enforces Cartesian Karma on Son Bra.

It’s funny how doujin authors will throw snide remarks at modern Dragon Ball like what DBM’s does, and then proceed to write garbage like this. This is why you don’t let a cynic write for an otherwise colorful series.

The bad part about her character is that she felt no remorse for killing when she lost control in her initial ssj2 rampage. If she felt remorse, crying that she killed her brother. She would have been depressed after that. Then her dad saying he would kill her. That would mess someone up. In the end, her killing her brother wasn’t the biggest deal (dragon balls) and wasn’t her fault exactly. But it would be the effect it had on her character. Yet she is cocky. And feels 0 remorse for what happened

I can't comment on the story so far, i only really watch it with mondo's videos, but I'll comment on Son Bra. Maybe the resolution could have been better, but I dunnot understand the "she didnt suffer consequences". Why would she tho? She was controlled against her will and like they say, Vegeta gave up his own control by choice and he "didnt" suffer consequences either. He had that beautiful sacrifice but other than that he was seen by the dragon as a good person and NO ONE was scared of him or mad after buu was dealt with. Bra was sorry and she didnt do it by choice. And she WAS the one that freed herseld, 18's Bra talked to her but it was her own power that allowed her to do so.

She willingly gave in to Babidi for the promise of being able to finally master SSJ2. No matter how many retcon the DBM writters tryna do it was the original panels. Hence I don’t understand when people bring the « she was mind controlled » argument , no she wasn’t , she did what Vegeta did and could have easily broke free(she is thousands times stronger than Vegeta was at that point) but choose to stay evil so that she could crash out freely

I agree with this and I don’t like how they made vegito so weak it’s stated in dragon ball that if someone is stronger than you than your magic or hax would not work on them so it bother me a lot when gauss or whatever that namekian name was, was able to take all of vegito strength when they acknowledged in the manga that vegito was far stronger than him idk if they forgot or just haven’t read the manga or rewatched the anime but that pissed me off

The problem is tho, Bra is MOSTLY to blame. Its not like Babidi slid into her dreams and mind controlled her, she WILLINGLY allowed herself to be controlled after being promised more power. Even after everything that's happened she still ONLY cares about being stronger.

Btw it is actually quite a shame to see them neglect the humans & Piccolo so much. Especially back in the Saiyan Saga (and arguably Namek saga) where all of them became so easily massively more powerful within the span of a year or even a few months arguably. With the only real reason why most of them (besides presumably Tien) stayed weaker is due to being complacent. Super Piccolo should at least be Fat Buu level if he wasn't already, and in theory some of the humans could be just as strong. It's just that the series never really gave them the opportunity to, sadly. So I'm glad to see this series at least continuing that instead of neglecting them.

For me I stopped reading it was because of the random gaps during fights of side stories, the interruption of the fights. Also an issue I have is that Vegito’s writing, he is justified in being mad, because when Frieza killed Krillin Goku was mad, when Cell killed Trunks Vegeta was sad and rushed in with anger to kill Cell, when Vegeta went to blow up Buu he made sure his son was safe and out of harms way. What I’m saying is that they are emotional because they care about those they care for and now it is more after the fusion. Also when Vegeta was under control, no one was able to free him from it he did that out of sheer will and pride, Bra didn’t. That’s my take on the series, if I clever get back to it I just want to see the final fights and how it ends. Skipping any interruptions. And Raditz power arc I need that man to have the development he needs

The best part of the final chapter was definitely Sukana and mahito final conversation which i think is a fitting end for such a major villian. Jjk ending was alright. It wasn’t the best but nor was it the worst.

I remember reading multiverse years ago. Im not quite sure what arc it was up to at the time but I remember a consensus that a good number of people didn’t like Bra because she was basically a Mary Sue, being presented as The Strongest and outclassing many other characters who fans were more interested in seeing, it was very clear that she was an Author’s pet. Can’t comment on later chapters because I stopped reading it when I caught up years ago though.

Making a fighter with anger issues is so far from “perfect”. It just makes her a lazy copy of gohan who doesn’t have the narrative conflict of being strong WITHOUT THE DESIRE TO FIGHT. An angry fighter is literally just every saiyan ever💀

It really does give me the vibe of Yu Yu hakusho ending where the three kings arc ended in a similar anti climactic and low key fashion that felt like wasted potential. But it was able to give good conclusions to three main characters which were Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei similar to JJK's Yuji, Gojo and Sukuna. All culminates to an ending that feels nice to see the main cast back one last time but is very rushed.
