    Numismatically speaking, the 1909 Liberty Head / “V” Nickel is “in really bad shape,” which technically equates to a grade of Poor-1, or at best, Fair-2; in other words, it’s a 🐕 ! I hope you didn’t pay more than fifty cents for it. 🧐 🇺🇸🐕🇩🇪🐕🇺🇸🐕🇩🇪🐕🇺🇸🐕🇩🇪🐕🇺🇸🐕🇩🇪

      It was part of that huge acquisition earlier this year. After I spread the costs to all the coins it cost 80 cents! (But it did fill a slot in the album!)

    I think a lot of people do it for a SHTF scenario, they reason that you will be able to barter with them much like silver. Who knows? I’ve heard that a lot of people hoard Nickels also, I believe Nickels have the most intrinsic value of modern circulating coins.

    Boiling water might soften that acrylic I’ve also seen acetone crack certain acrylics

      I agree on some of the new labels they are coming out with. 1st day, within 30 days, pre release. If the coin has the same grade, it should cost the same amount.

    I was waiting for the wheaties😂 Yeah seems like a lot of what my dad collected minus the Ike dollars. He knew a bit better but he just couldnt afford the good stuff. He sold most of it when he was young.

    In my opinion the 1900 morgan upgrade looks to have been cleaned but i can not tell without seeing it in person but it doesn't matter if you are happy with it i collect for the art of the coins because I love morgans it looks that you enjoy ❤

      I have a suspicion that it may have been cleaned also. I always try and find an album filler first, then upgrade it when I get a chance!

      @@dancerscc good job that is how I started when my grandmother gave me a 1908 no motto 20$ gold agustis st.gaudens I had it graded in 1989 and it graded out to be a mint state 65 on the Sheldon scale. But golf is very expensive as you well know but I feel in love with the Morgan silver dollars I have them all 1878 thru 1921 with all the mints .it took me a lot of years to do so. But hang on there you are going in the right direction thanks for the comment your friend and fellow coin collector Don 😀😀
