I got it right this time after having a few Bentons... that kind of anaemic tone. There is something that sounds flat and sterile.. mostly in the other cheap bentons..harder to hear here..

Hi. Do you hear anything at all in your headphones that has to do with the semihollow body? or does it sound the some as a solid body

I had bought an HB vintage 35 BK last week, i didnt plug in the amp yet, just have played acoustickly, i thought the A guitar was the Gibson and the B HB35, it had sounded much better for me the HB 35. Thats great.

That is absolutely bizarre because I was swearing that the lack of brightness was going to be the TE20 every time. HAHAHA ppl waste money on those expensive guitars.

The tele hb 20 is very good guitar for the price.

I just happened to think of this guitar the last time a tonewood debate came up. This is one of the best sounding guitars I’ve ever heard and it had no wood at all.

Do Steinbergers require trembucker spacing at the bridge?

I was expecting not to hear a difference when listening on my phone, but I accually did to my surprise

The HB wasn't THAT far off the 2 Fenders :) Not quite the high end clarity of the Fenders but for that huge price diff ??? Slap a set of original Fender Yosemite pups in the HB with some high quality pots and you'll have a fantastic Tele clone for under $300 USD.

Impresive, I thought that A was the worst and it was the Harley. The A guitar is more briliant but less body, in the distortion the different sounds of the chords aren´t well defined a litle bit blured and have liked the best the last b ut with some doubts in comparisson to the B one. Somebody wants to pull our legs, or the comparison has got a trick or somebody is over-pricing some brands in this string world. Or perhaps it is that as deaf as a plaster cat.

I just hear the TEST 1 and TEST 2 and rated downward the prices: best Fender DLX, second Fender Aniv., third Harley Benton TE-20. But how would it be if you replace the stock pickups in the Harley Benton by 51 NoCaster Pickups?

I dreamed of it since I was a teenager, in the mid 80s, and finally gave myself one three months ago, for my 50th birthday: it's a white GL2T queen, it took a long world-wide search and a consistent amount of money but I just love it and, to me, that's THE GUITAR!!! Talking of Steinbergers, I also have a GM4S that I used for the past 15yrs, both on stage and in studio, and that's a spectacular instrument too!

10 years ago 100$ guitars were shit. Now these are already pretty usable instruments

Cold Gin time again!! While listening I marked which guitar was worst in tests and surprisingly almost in all tests Ameican standard was the worst! HB and Deluxe is approx on the same, probably Deluxe slightly better on overdrive
