    I have a question in regards to Halal meat. In my country (NZ) all meat is Halal (aside from one or two private butchers). Is Halal meat technically sacrificed to an idol (I heard they pray words over it which basically means Allah is the highest). I've got this feeling I should be staying away from any meat unless I know for sure it is not Halal. This is quite tricky.

    • @DanielBjorndahl
      @DanielBjorndahl 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To be honest it's something you'll need to research for yourself, but from what I found online Halal (and the opposite Haram) denotes that it's a clean or unclean animal. To be packaged and sold as halal is probably requires someone to pray a blessing over the animal being slaughtered. According to google searches, Arab *Christians* also accept Allah as a reference to God. It's just the Arabic general word for God, like in English "God" is not his name, but YHWH. Pray about it, but I see this distinct from the way food is offered to Krishna by Hare Krishna worshippers. I could be wrong. There are no muslims in Colombia where I live, so I have not had to verify this.

      @DanielBjorndahl thank you. I've researched it a bit, and gone down a few rabbit holes with differing opinions so yeah definitley wise advice to stick to facts and pray. Yeah I was thinking maybe Allah is just a name/title for the same God but just not quite 100% on it. Hmm 🤔 I'll keep praying.

I haven't found a book that provokes so many thoughts in a very long time, even though my husband and I have done research ourselves and deeply discussed our doubts about Paul. I often imagine YAHS realm as a court. Are you suggesting that YAH is the accuser(satan) of Israel? Interesting take if so. The people were not grateful for David's work on the throne and seemingly sided with sister didiler Absolom. Joab seemed ruthless and could have been more merciful. Solid point, and great thought exercise. YAH accused Israel. If David had followed the Exodus 30v12-16 rules for census maybe his problems with his children may have not gone sideways. So you reject that Mary is the Mother of God (even though that title is in the bible Luke 1:43) on the grounds that she was only the mother of His human nature and not His divinity. 3 Issues with this: 1.) Women are mothers of persons not "natures," Jesus is one divine person not two subjects, so she is His mother and He is God. 2.) If you argue that Mary is not God's mother because she is only the mother of the human nature, then you are arguing that the human nature does not truly belong to God. Acts 20:28 states that God has blood, the human nature therefore belongs to God and that human nature was conceived by the Holy Spirit through Mary, making her the mother of that human nature. To simplify, Mary is the mother of Jesus' blood -> Jesus' blood = God's blood -> Mary is mother of God's blood. 3.) The title "Mother of God" is in the bible... Luke 1:43 says "How is it that the mother of my Lord has come to me?" this is of course an echo of King David who in 2 Samuel 6:9 says "How is it that the Ark of YHWH has come to me?" and in Luke John the baptist leaps for joy while in 2 Samuel King David dances in joy. This is clearly demonstrating that the "Lord" in Luke 1:43 is YHWH the God of the bible. Therefore Luke 1:43 is saying that mary is the "mother of my YHWH" or in other words "mother of my God." Other claims you make about "queen of heaven" and such are misunderstandings... God can be called baal (hosea 2:16 to clarify I'm showing that it USED TO BE the case that God was called baal not that we still do!) or elohim which were generic titles of pagan gods without that meaning that our God is a pagan god. Similarly "queen of heaven" is a generic title which was used for a pagan goddess, just because we reuse that title for someone who it ACTUALLY FITS doesnt make that someone a pagan goddess, this is simple logic. Solomon's mother was the queen mother, so we see that the mother of the King of Israel is the Queen, who is the King of Israel? Jesus. Who is His mother? Mary. Okay now connect the dots. Revelation 12 also speaks about the crowning of Mary in heaven. These aren't traditions that were just made up... they're from the bible, repent and look into East Orthodoxy. Notice how this whole time Ive used simple logic, Jesus said "I am the truth" and John 1 says He is the Logos. He is logic. Do not be afraid of logic, God says in Isaiah 1:18 "come let us reason together." You arent so depraved as calvinists would have you believe that you cant follow logic... Logic comes from God.

      Well put brother. The strange thing about these sectarian groups is they just rehash old heresies from prior years. The mother of God subject has been detailed and completed by the church a long time ago as of course you know, but sectarian nonsense has no reference to history. As the scriptures say “there is nothing new under the sun” and this applies to heresy as well

      😂we never once said she’s the mother only of his human nature, which would imply another mature. Jesus isn’t God. that’s why we refute the idea that she’s God’s mother according to your eastern orthodox dogma. she’s the mother of a full human being. had you any comprehension, you would’ve understood that. and we handily refuted the trinity/ god-man myths by demonstrating that the virgin birth didn’t happen. there’s no immaculate conception. there’s no pre existence of a literal second person of an imaginary trinity. he’s of the seed of david, the seed of Joseph. true Messiah and Prophet of God. ❤

    • @DanielBjorndahl
      @DanielBjorndahl 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      1) Jesus is FULLY HUMAN, indwelt by the Holy Spirit. 2) Jesus' blood is not God's blood. If that is true then God died on the cross. 3) Luke 1:43 uses greek G2962 (see strongs dictionary). Lord doesn't necessarily mean divinity. See for example: Anyone/anything that you serve. (Mt 6:24, where no one can serve two kuriois, either God or money) A master who rules over slaves. (Mt 10:24, that a slave isn't above their kurion) You go on to make a point about BAAL and Elohim as generic terms, but you're willfully ignoring that KIRIOS is also a generic term which does NOT necessarily mean deity. Also, it's important not to mix discussions about greek and hebrew lexicons. I'm not a Calvinist. I'm not a catholic. I'm not an orthodox. I'm not a "christian" either. I believe in the Messiah and obey the Torah, as he taught us to do.

Also you know that a woman being with child is not a miracle since everyday young women are with child? Genesis 38 and the story of Tamar pretending to be a prostitute and accepting money for sex is not in any way comparable, also due to the unusual practice of an unwed brother having the responsibility to marry her. In that story it was Judah in sin. In any case, we are told in the gospels that he sought to divorce Mary quietly, not stone her to death. The possibility of single motherhood or premarital sex does not prove one way or another whether the event was miraculous or not

    @Geri-h6q 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Thanks for another helpful video. I have a comment on some verses you quoted, only tangentially related to the virgin birth/"Mother of God" topic, which you and the article author succinctly refuted. At min. 24 or so, you cite the texts John 7:5, Mark 3:20-21, and Mark 3:31-25. The author of the article you read, and I'm assuming you also, seem to agree with the popular interpretation that Jesus' brothers and family thought he was "crazy" and did not believe in him as Messiah before his resurrection. However there is evidence to the contrary, that actually they WERE believers and followers of his ministry PRIOR to the crucifixion, (they may have had disagreements, but not opposition or rejection). The fact that James especially was most probably a believer/disciple well BEFORE Jesus' resurrection appearance is evidenced by James' very early ascension to a leadership position in the foundling movement (see Acts 15). An alternate explanation of these verses is put forth in chapter 2 of Jeffrey Butz's book "The Brother of Jesus, and the Lost Teachings of Christianity". Specifically, the reference to Jesus being "crazy" or "out of his mind" or "amazed" may actually refer to the crowd or disciples that surrounded him, not to Jesus. Also possible is that Mark may have inserted his own interpretation, putting Jesus' family, just as he often did the disciples/apostles, in a negative light, having been influenced by Paul. Matthew and Luke have parallels to Mark 3: 31-35, but NOT to Mark 3:20-21, (these are UNIQUE to Mark), and so these later verses in Mark may NOT necessarily relate back to Mark's verses 20-21, (in fact the preceding verses, and so context, for 20-21, verses 13-19, is the choosing of the 12, making it more likely that verses 20-21 is in reference to the disciples, and not Jesus' to family), and absence of verses 20-21 REMOVES any negative motive or disbelief on the family's part (which was inferred only from verses 20-21) and merely shows his family seeking him. Jesus' comment "my mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it" could well INCLUDE both Jesus' natural family and his disciples, (in fact one literal translation from the Greek says "(as for) my mother and brothers, THEY are the ones who listen", and may be being held up as "model disciples") , and may NOT represent a contradistinction between true disciples and natural family, which has been the long held popular interpretation. James Tabor and Robert Eisenman both note the prominence of James in the early, original "Jesus movement" and the probability that he was a disciple DURING Jesus' lifetime, (may even have been at the "Last Supper", and in fact may be "the disciple whom Jesus loved"), and did not just become one "suddenly after the resurrection appearance", (making his conversion similar to Paul's fraudulent experience). Anyway, just thought I'd mention this as interesting possibility. I look forward to more of your videos. I always enjoy and learn from them. Thanks.

    What Catholics claim proves that Jesus is the Messiah, actually does just the opposite. The Jewish Messiah has to be of the bloodline of David. Joseph was of the bloodline of David, Mary was not. Mary was not even of the same house as David. David is from the tribe of Judah, Mary was of the tribe of Levi. We know this because Mary's sister, Elizabeth, was married to a Levite priest, and Levite men are only permitted to marry Levite women, so if Elizabeth was a Levite, Mary was, too, so no blood of David in her. Even if Mary had been of the bloodline of David, it couldn't be inherited through her, because in a patriarchal society, the bloodline comes from the father, not the mother. Whether or not you are considered a Jew, comes through your mother, but your bloodline does not. If Mary was a virgin when he was born, then Jesus does not have the bloodline of David, and is not the Messiah. What is more likely, is that when they say she was a virgin, was that she was a temple virgin unti she married Joseph, and not a virgin for her entire life, and that Joseph was the actual father of Jesus. Saying that the child within her was of the holy spirit, does not have to mean that it was the holy spirit that impregnated her. It could mean that the holy spirit was present in the child. We also know that Jesus had at least one brother, James, who was a prominent figure in the New Testament, so we know that Mary was not the eternal virgin that Catholics claim she was. She was just a vessel that God chose to use once, and had no further significance after that. Putting her in a place equal to Jesus, and praying to her, is a sin.

    Daniel, there is another reference to the term ALMA as for a virgin…this is in reference to Rebecca, when Abraham sent forth his servant to find a wife for Isaac. Here it states that in the Hebrew, that Rebecca was a young maiden, or a damsel but yet the word is Alma in the Hebrew text…and obviously, Rebecca was a virgin, as she was a very young woman of barely puberty, and a damsel also represents a woman that might be as young as 12 years old.

      yes, well that place isn’t used to support the false doctrine of the immaculate conception or virgin birth. the focus of my study was on the proof text Isaiah 7:14, where the context prevents it being translated “virgin.” and, no, we don’t know if rebekah was 13. she could’ve been 23 for all we know.

      @ So what was your entire point to begin with…I listened a long time and I couldn’t determine what your position was as you started off in the middle of a conclusion you were trying to clarify with no real meaningful message to convey it…Going between catholic doctrine and protestant doctrine. If Matthew had not intended to relay the concept that Jesus was born of a virgin, why would he go on to establish the fact that Joseph never knew Mary, until, after she had birthed Jesus? And further the angel Gabrielle, came to Joseph in a dream, and also to Mary and told them what to call the child when he was born furthermore, which is even more curious, is that the child’s true name is Emmanuel and not Jesus, and they merely “CALLED “his name, Jesus, meaning SAVIOR, but his name was Emmanuel, meaning, as in Isaiah, God with us… Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Was Isaiah intending to emphasize his name, or the virginity of his mother, or both?

      @ I would carefully reread that prophecy in Isaiah 7 & 8 again, as it never mentions, who the virgin was that would bare a child, but even more startling, it seems to describe what is happening in Damascus right now, as Damascus is becoming a ruinous heap. There’s a much deeper message that’s going on here, and people have interpreted this for thousands of years claiming it to mean something, other than what it is actually unfolding at this very point in history. There’s more to this message and it does not dispute what Matthew is claiming about Mary being a virgin and the name of her son will be called Emmanuel that is the point of the whole message in Isaiah.

    Thanks to Nathan for writing this article and thanks to you Daniel for reading it and offering your thoughts . Isaiah 7 mentioned that the child's mother was a prophetess , something that Mary was never called . If one reads further on into chapter 8 , they'd see that none of the details match any of the details in Yeshua's life , it's not a Messianic prophecy .... and that's okay . There are so many King Arthur movies that I've forgotten which one it was but at the end of one these King Arthur movies it explains how some of the remaining pagans in Britain just changed the name of their mother goddess to Mary . It goes way further back into Babylon with Semiramis , Ishtar and Astarte , mother goddess , "queen of heaven" worship , nothing more , same thing with turning Yeshua into a "god-man" , yes He was divine but not as in deity , He was divine as in closeness with Yeh Ho VaH

    Yes Paul was a false apostle, BUT the Torah is no longer in effect. *Matt **5:17**-18* 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them *BUT TO FULFILL THEM.* 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law *UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED.* When Jesus died, he had accomplished His task. He fulfilled the laws given to Moses from the time of His birth to the time of His death. His entire life was by the word of God. If God wanted us to sacrifice goats then why did He destroy the Herod’s temple? If he wanted us to continue eating kosher, why did He give Peter a revelation of “unclean” foods and tell Him to “eat”. Why did He tell a centurion to call for Peter and for Peter to go with him? *Hosea 6:4-7* 4 “What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears. 5 Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth- then my judgments go forth like the sun. *6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.* 7 As at Adam, they have broken the covenant; they were unfaithful to me there. God explains through Hosea the prophet that Israel (northern Israel = Ephraim and southern Israel = Judah) is like an adulterous wife, and He a devoted Husband. Other “gods” and nations/kings are like the lovers. God wants us to acknowledge and love Him. By loving Him we love each other and vice versa. *Matt **25:40** Parable of the Sheep and Goats* “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ This is the mercy He wants us to show to one another, not sacrificing goats or food to Him. And whether we are rich or poor we should call on His name, trust in Him to help us, not ourselves or others alone. *Talmud Yoma 39b* The Sages taught: During the tenure of Shimon HaTzaddik, the lot for God always arose in the High Priest’s right hand; after his death, it occurred only occasionally; but during the *forty years prior to the destruction of the Second Temple* , the lot for God did *not* arise in the High Priest’s *right* hand at all. So too, *the strip of crimson* wool that was tied to the head of the goat that was sent to Azazel *did not turn white* , and the *westernmost lamp* of the candelabrum *did not burn* continually. And the *doors of the Sanctuary opened by themselves* as a sign that they would soon be opened by enemies, until Rabban Yoḥanan ben Zakkai scolded them. During the 40 years immediately following the death of Christ in 30AD, the lot decided which goat would be sacrificed was always the *left* one. *Matt **25:31**-33, Prophecy about the return of Christ, mirroring the 40 years recorded in the Talmud following the death of Christ* 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the *sheep on his right* and the *goats on his LEFT*. The strip of crimson, a symbol of sin, did not turn white. Meaning the people of Israel were not forgiven of their sins for that year, every year for 40 years until the temple was destroyed. The mosaic laws were a symbol of how far Israel was from God, which is why it has 3 parts, each getting closer to the ark of the covenant where God symbolically sat. The laws demonstrated how the people of God should be separate from other nations, how good can not dwell with evil. Just like the tares and the wheat. Some of the laws, like boiling a kid (baby goat) in its mother’s milk, were directly associated with pagan rituals, and so were banned to prevent pagan practices. God doesn’t want us to stone adulterers, that’s a symbol of the death we deserve for committing adultery, but Jesus died the death we deserve so we don’t have to. This is how God shows mercy to us, now we have to show mercy to others by NOT following mosaic law, therefore NOT stoning people to death.

    • @DanielBjorndahl
      @DanielBjorndahl 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree that judgement is left up to God, so that we don't need to punish anyone. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. It's not up to us to punish. But if the law is abolished then there's no definition of what sin is. So you can break sabbath, commit adultery, and eat bacon wrapped shrimp and God doesn't care because there's no Torah?

    • @Maaad-maaan
      @Maaad-maaan 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ Food laws don’t matter because that’s only in the Torah. Adultery, murder, kidnapping (mistranslated as theft), coveting, and keeping the sabbath are also in the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments are the law of God. Noah was “blameless” and therefore God made His covenant with him. Abraham was “blameless” and therefore God made His covenant with him too. This all happened before the mosaic law was given. If God wanted to us to keep the Torah then He would keep the temple for sacrifices and not spread Israelites across the nations, with continuing persecution, so that the levitical priests could continue being priests. But He allowed the temple to be destroyed and the levitical priests have practically no power today. Why are people being rescued from drugs, alcohol, and overall immorality, by Jesus and never told by Him to go to a synagogue? Why are they not being told to keep the Torah? Why do people have revelation after revelation, all over the world of Christ and feel the Holy Spirit guiding them to read the Bible, often particular passages, but never told to keep the Torah? How was Abraham so righteous before God without the Torah to tell him that when Sarah, Hagar, or Keturah were on their period they had to isolate so they wouldn’t make the whole camp “unclean”? How did Noah have 4 women on the ark for a year with no mention of how they should be kept separate while on their period because it’s “unclean”? How did Noah have clean and unclean animals on the ark at all? God only mentions “clean animals” for sacrificing and then tells Noah that he can eat anything as long as it’s drained of its blood. Meaning he should make sure it’s dead before eating it. Otherwise that’s just cruel. This is also a good way to make sure people don’t partake in vampiristic rituals. Like bathing in blood, or drinking blood. In the Torah, boiling a kid (baby goat) in its mother’s milk was mentioned because it was a pagan fertility ritual. Right after God tells Noah he can eat whatever, He also says that anyone who murders should be put to death. But again, He says He desires mercy. Prison is merciful, and gives people a chance to repent. Which not many do but even one is better than none. Even Jesus spared the adulterous woman who was brought to Him saying “he who is without sin cast the first stone” and “leave this life and sin no more”. He spoke to the Samaritan woman who had multiple husbands and was living with another man and didn’t stone her but instead, revealed to her that He was the messiah, and was filled with the Holy Spirit and no longer hungry when she left Him to get other’s to see what could be the messiah. This is the mercy He wants us to display. Mercy on animals and people. Just yesterday I watched a video about a previously cannibalistic tribe in Africa, who stopped practicing cannibalism when missionaries came. One man said he had eaten humans but doesn’t anymore and wants to teach others to do the same. Some people are worried about cultures disappearing and are trying to push back against missionaries because they get rid of cultural practices that go against the teachings of Jesus and the commandments of God. Yet the man who had previously been a cannibal is trying to protect missionary work and fight against these cultural practices that are ungodly. Animal sacrifices were a symbol of the death we deserve and the sacrifice of Christ’s life who would be the final sacrifice. Many of the food laws were, as I explained, to prevent to practice of pagan rituals. It also helps paint a picture of how the Israelites and anyone who follows God should not be like the rest of the world. But following these laws doesn’t make one righteous. Jesus and the prophets make it clear that what is in your heart matters, not what you do in front of others. Don’t blow a trumpet when you give money, don’t tell people you fast for the Lord, don’t pray in public so other’s praise you and your supposed righteousness, don’t follow the Mosaic law because even those who crucified Him did that and many continue to do it. These things don’t make you righteous. Showing mercy does. Praying for others, even when no one can see you. Yes you can still pray in public, but don’t do it BECAUSE you want others to see. Give to others, but don’t draw attention to it or do it for attention. Treat animals well, give them a quick and painless death, and make sure they’re dead before eating. Don’t attack those who break the commandments of God, but rather show them mercy and share the teachings of Christ so that they, like the adulterous woman, leave that life and sin no more.

Sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, and a contrite ❤ God will not despise. Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgement. The law of God is in his ❤, none of his steps shall slide. Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my ❤ the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 7:10 My defense is of God, which saveth the upright in ❤. Psalm 119:32 I will run the way of thy commandments when thy shall enlarge my ❤. Psalm 141:4 Incline not my ❤ to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties. Proverbs 2:2 Incline thine ear unto wisdom, apply thy ❤ to understanding (this whole chapter is great - about the righteous path to life vs the wicked path to death).
