Great video. We'll be there this Oct and this was helpful.
Glad you liked it! Have a great trip and cheers with a Guinness!
As a cpl on short flights we always book aisle seats across from each other,we can still converse ...any flights over 4 hours,we fly FC/BC...
We sometimes do aisle seats across from each other as well, but there is nothing better than getting two cheap seats with the middle seat open!
@@RnRquicktrips I know what you mean,we did get lucky a few times, just last month flying from MCO to Nassau...we both had 3 seats on both sides to ourselves, but on the return flight was full to the max...
This looks great. We are going to stay 5 days as well. Wha cities you stayed over ?
We stayed in Wicklow, Cork, Killarney and Galway. After the road trip we spent 2 nights in Dublin. Have fun!
Awesome 🙏
Thank you!
We are going in July. Wondering about the pools, are they heated? Is it true that they open the solarium for families during certain hours?
Yes, the pools are heated. I never saw anything about the solarium being open to families, but there were often families in the solarium. Have fun!
Nice video!! Learned a lot… what is the name of the place where you were eating the malasadas? Thank you!
Thank you! Tex's Drive Thru is the name of the Malasada place. They also have great Hawaiian food.
Please turn down the music next time. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, I realize my music is too loud and I'm adjusting. Appreciate the feedback.
Would we be able to get by with a few Spanish phrases, did your driver speak any English? Guatemala is on our budget list! Thanks for the great video.
You can definitely get by with a few Spanish phrases, everyone spoke enough English to communicate. I can't recommend Guatemala enough, especially for a budget traveller.
Great video! What do you use for sound editing, it’s always so good, this one was exceptional!
Thank you so much! We use a Fifine handheld for voiceovers.
@ Thank you for letting me know, y’all do a wonderful job with your video content and production.
My husband and I are looking to do Norway in July and are looking to focus on Bergen and possibly the Flam area for 6 days. Based off your experiences, is there anything you’d recommend? (Length of time each location, food, experiences) We’d like to stick to a budget and there is the possibility of rd ting a car for a few days, but not all. Thanks!
So sorry for the late reply. We recommend at least 3 days in Bergen and 2 days in Flam. The train ride between the two is spectacular, in our opinion no need to rent a car. A walking tour in Bergen is a great way to get the lay of the city and decide what you may want to come back to. The ferry from Bergen to Skjerjahamn is a great (and quick) way to see the islands surrounding Bergen. The Bergen Fishmarket is a must do for a meal. Flam is so lovely - be sure to walk into the town where the old church is. The Flam Bakery has heavenly cinnamon rolls!
We were in PM 10 years ago when it was still a quiet, inexpensive and relaxing town and enjoyed it. Now it is only a memory because what we feared then, happened. It’s gone the same way as Playa del Carmen……., such a pity!
That's the way it will go for all of Mexico's sleepy little beach towns.
That location is far from everything...
The Airbnb is far? We loved the location. It was across the street from the Malecon and walkable to shops and restaurants.
@RnRquicktrips it's far south , the main attractions are further up by mazatlan letters and closer to inner city to cathedral area ...
@@JoseRodriguez-wb9vb That's true, but walkable to other spots.
about to go with my family december 13! thanks for the tour! are the pools heated?
Yes, the pools are heated. Have fun!
Hi, Thank you for this video. We are going in a couple of months for the first time and I would like to know if the foods and activities are free? Also, is there a movie theater there?
Yes, the food (except for some specialty dining) and activities are all free. There is a movie theater on board. Have fun!
I'd be happy to support a family willing to take us on such a tour. How would one arrange that sort of authenticity?
I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for. Can you elaborate?
@@RnRquicktrips It looked like you went out with a local family. Perhaps they were relatives or friends? I just think it would be nice to interact with trusted locals.
@@LesHenderson Yes! My daughter in law's family lives in Guayaquil so we were fortunate to have them show us the city from a local's perspective.
@@RnRquicktrips What a great bonus for you. We are heading there next March if they would consider the thought of escorting two Canadian seniors on a safe and authentic afternoon visit to their neighborhood or favorite local eateries. Our Spanish is very limited, but our smiles speak volumes.
Let's go, Toros!!
Vamos!
The more I see and read about Norse the more I'm put off!
It worked well for us, but it's not for everyone.
They gave us moorea
Nice!
This is the best summary of Flam that I have seen. My late wife and I were fortunate enough to stay there for a week in 2011. We had one of four small horses on the Edge of the fjord only half a kilometer from the town centre. It was much less busy then and there were fewer excursion type options, but I think I preferred the blessed peace, quiet, and spectacular scenery we were able to enjoy 13 years’ ago.
I just started going to Cancun. I don't hear much about this. Is it isolated?
It is isolated, which is part of the appeal. Very quiet and laid-back.
I love Norse. Premium economy is 100 percent worth it. The food is hit or miss, so bring a sandwich. It’s my #1 choice for a good flight to Europe.
I agree. The food is not worth the price but the flight is worth the price!
It’s a great airline! Have traveled with them 4 times. Premium Economy, is the best value for money in the industry. Always on time, great service. Recommended.
It's my humble request to send my photos from Thailand ,you have my photo of go pro and drone saved in your memory The picture was taken on water while we were on James bond island trip in phuket,Thailand Please reply to this chat !!
You said it was very cold. What month did you travel?
We went in February, the second coldest month in Ireland besides January. We did not get much rain, but lots of wind.
Where did you rent your car? Automatic? Insurance? We're going to Ireland and Scotland in May and your video has helped immensely, thank you!!
Thank you, I'm glad our video helped! We rented our car through Budget, they had one of the lower rates. We paid a little extra to guarantee an automatic. We declined extra insurance because our Chase Preferred card covers rental cars in Ireland (not all cards cover Ireland because of the narrow roads and hedges). We printed out a copy of our coverage to show the rental can agent. Have fun!
Uugghhh...just gross. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time. It's got a '70s alcoholic old man vibe and smell, building 1 must have been a smoking area at some point, and it's just nasty shower etc., wish I could post pictures. Do yourself a favor and don't come here... unless they pay you.
How did you find the bed and breakfasts? Darling!
We loved them! Even if it wasn't a full Irish breakfast, it was very filling.
Did you have to pay to sit together? Some budget airlines make you pay even during check-in.
We did not pay to sit together. We gambled by not paying for seats and asking to be seated together at check in. The flight was not full so they were able to seat us next to each other.
Nice video. Did you drive back to Dublin? Trying to plan for driving time, did you spend one night in each place? Thanks!
Thanks! We spent 1 night in each town except Dublin (2 nights). We did drive from Galway to Dublin, it's supposed to take just over 2 hours but we kept stopping in charming little towns so it took is 5 hours.
My 2 favorite Cities of all of Mexico!! But San Miguel de Allende takes the cake!
Agreed!
Thanks for replying to my email. We are in PVR this weekend. Looking forward to visiting Mazatlan next year, maybe! 💙✈️🌎. Another Great video !
Please send Thailand pictures you have some of my pictures of James bond island tour , it will be great if you share those as promised
Do you still use your right foot to drive?
Yes! For us it's too much of a brain switch to use our left foot.
My wife and I stayed at a hotel very close to Ollantaytambo next to the Urubamba River and the hotel had a cat and it walked inside our room and just laid down on our bed with us.🤣 It was the cutest thing ever. Made our whole Peru experience memorable.❤️
🥰 Maybe cats just come with the rooms in Ollantaytambo! I did appreciate the kindness that the locals showed to both humans and cats.
It’s a very lovely hotel but very poor service. Slow. Disorganised. More like 4star for that reason. Not sure if it changed over time but as someone who’s stayed at many 5star hotels around the world this was the worst one I’ve stayed at. The town is beautiful but the hotel staff are badly managed and nothing like this review. It’s not the oberoi or even close.
Thanks for the info - that's too bad. I hope the service improves, it's such a special place..
We own a timeshare here El Cid, marina beach is our favourite of all El Cid resorts we used to go into town for dinners but now we do all inclusive. It’s great you can go to all three resorts and use the facilities and restaurants, recommend Brazilian night at the Grenada and their pool is really quiet during the day. Beach at marina is awesome . Great video !
Thanks so much! I agree, El Cid Marina is a gem. Many choose the beachfront El Cid instead not realizing how much quieter the El Cid is and how private their beach is.
My wife and i are booking an alaskan cruise today on this ship, but we are questioning whether may or september is best, we have been on a may alaske cruise before.
That's a tough one. May has drier weather, but September increases your chances of seeing wildlife. Since it is the shoulder season of cruising, you may find that the ship is not very full. Have fun!
@@RnRquicktrips thanks for the info.
I realize that some folks love ABB but it take home off the market for locals 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 and that leads to HOMELESS .. but it was so nice😢😢😢 resort
That is true. Although the home owners for this particular home will be moving back in a few years. And this house is beautiful!
This is just so crazy to see my freshman math teacher and his beautiful wife soooo long after I graduated! Miss you Mr.Villar! Rah Rah Cougars
Wow!!! It has been a long time! What year did you graduate? Thanks for watching!
@@RnRquicktrips 2004! Time flies! Glad to see you guys are doing well!
Thank you so much for the detailed video, we are planning to go in September end and yea Flam is in our list after watching your video I am all the more exciting to visit flam... I have a couple of questions about the zipline, while returning you guys took a bike till flam right?.. I have 3 questions, 1. Is there any other option other than bike? Like hike to the nearest station and then board a train? 2. Also is the hike safe? 3. And the tickets on this routes needs to be prebooked? Thank you so much in advance 😊
Do not go to Norway without visiting Flam! We booked the zipline/bike as a package. You can do the zipline and then walk to the bottom. We noticed some people taking the zipline did not purchase tickets in advance (it was very casual). I'm not sure about catching the train back down after ziplining, but there were many people walking down. It is a very safe road with not a lot of traffic.
I had so much fun at stone island!
Yes you did! No more monkeys though.
Excellent video, we plan taking advantage of this offer for our anniversary. Is late September still warm in Vegas?
Thank you! Vegas in September will be warm to hot, a good time to use the lazy river. Have fun!
@@RnRquicktrips when did they make you do the presentation. At the beginning, middle or end of your stay? Also how expensive was it to eat and drink? Thank you!
@@sgt4623 We did ours in the middle of the stay, they ask you to do the presentation on day one or two. The food was a bit expensive in the pub-style restaurant, but the pizza place was was delicious and inexpensive.
@@RnRquicktrips thank you so much for the fast response. We are finally booking tomorrow. Our plan is to use the shuttle to eat off site since there doesn’t seem to be much options at the resort. Thanks again!
@@sgt4623 You are welcome! Eating off site is a great idea, so many options. Have a great trip!
How'd you get the stay for free? They are asking for $349 even with the presentation now.
Yikes! We did a presentation through Hyatt at the Lawrence Welk Resort in San Diego, and our "gift" was a 3 night stay at any of their timeshare properties, so we chose the Sirena del Mar. $349 is still a good price for that property, but free is always better.
Cool! Great video! Thanks! We're going in October! 😃
Lucky! Have a great trip.
Great video - I'll be there in 6 days time! :)
Thank you! Have a great trip, I'm sure it will be beautiful.
This was a good video. Please share what are the must-try dishes in the main dining room.
The grilled fish (except the salmon) were all very good, the pastas and pulled pork were some of our favorites. Lobster night was awesome (you could order more than 1 plate), and all of the desserts were delicious. I tried every dessert.
Please share what shows you recommend & what days do they have these shows?
What day was lobster night? Was it the 1st or 2nd sea day? Need to make sure I eat in the main dining room on lobster night.
What specialty dining specials did RC offer on the 1st day?
I'm sorry to say I don't remember, but the prices were cheaper than if you booked specialty dining prior to the cruise. My brother in law had booked one specialty dining in advance (the steakhouse) and when he saw the special offer on the first day of cruising he canceled his original booking and rebooked it at the new promotional price. Reuben and I did not book any special dining and were fairly pleased with the food in the main dining room.
So proud of my beautiful city❤
You are very lucky to live in Bergen!
@@RnRquicktrips Thank you ❤️🤩 Yes, i'm feeling very lucky and blessed indeed. Fun fact: the train ride you made from Flåm to Myrdal? Flåmsbanen, my grandfather were one of the builders of that railway stretch. He even got a medal from the king of Norway at the time for it🤩 He told me that they dug and built it mostly by hand..it was too steep for most machinery to work with .. 1 month = 1 metre railway 🤩
@@ingunnelisenitter-nerland2208 That is so cool! He definitely deserves a medal, I can't imagine what it took to build that railway!
