Are you still using this monitor and would you recommend to buy for gaming ?

Does this eliminate the need for a docking station? So just connect mouse/keyboard/speaker/webcam to the monitor instead?

I recently picked one up from a Lumberyard. I figured something was wrong with it from the start, aside from the fact of it was at a Lumberyard, But the screen on the right side had some cracks on the internal screen. Currently using it now, Only about 1/8th of the screen is broken. Found a company that makes the screens used in the monitor that'll custom make a new one. From what I can tell it'll only cost around $200-$300 to get a new LCD for it. All things considered, I think a nearly $1k monitor I only have to put 200-300 dollars into isnt too bad. I'll come back at a later time and give a Status update on it and let anyone who's curious know if its possible to fix the broken screen issue (instead of having to buy a whole new one)

I’m considering to get its newer model, 38WN95C-W, released at CES 2020 and available since later that year. The WK model was released in 2018 (also unveiled at CES), so will there be a newer model this year (2022)? There’s no announcement for a new successor yet, not in CES 2022.

DONT BUY IT: I got this monitor and SO MANY ISSUES: 1. After six months it presented one dead pixel, I had to fight with dell to replace it. 2. There's NO macos support adjust volume, the usb-c does not have the right frequency for both display & charge the macbook. 3. After aprox two years of use, the stand tilted. 4. Its too wide for most people, I totally regret of not picking a small one, i keep rotating my nec left/right between apps.

I bought this monitor a few months ago and it is certainly not bad. But know its limitations. The colour space is very limited so definitely not recommended for graphic designers. Many colours are not visible. But the biggest concern is the built-in KVM switch. It is just plain bad. When several computers are connected, and one of them is a Macbook Pro, the monitor will always switch to the Mac by itself, even if it is switched off or in sleep mode. The user then has to switch back to the other device. Also, the preference button settings are often "forgotten". Also very annoying is the position of the on-screen buttons. Because they are located at a corner at the bottom, the screen wobbles at the slightest touch. Using the screen buttons is really not user-friendly. In this price range and from a brand like Dell, you expect much better.

What's the point of response time settings when the panel is 60hz? 🤔

LG 38WK95C-W 38 enable usb - If anyone has this monitor and cannot get the two downstream USB 3.0 ports to work, try this. You are supposed to be able to connect a single USB C cable from your WIndows or Mac to the back of the monitor. It is supposed to charge the computer while also enabling those two USB 3.0 ports. Chances are when you tried it it didn't work. Here's how I got mine working. If you have an HDMI or Display port on your computer you will need to use one or the other... just once. The required cables should be included with your monitor. I ended up disconnecting the USB C cable and connecting my laptop to the monitor with HDMI. Once the computer detected the monitor and displayed correctly, I then connected the USB C cable from my computer to the back of the monitor. My usb hubs that I had plugged into the USB 3.0 ports on the monitor activated instantly. Then I removed the HDMI cable from the computer and monitor. Monitor auto switched to USB C and kept power to my hubs. Hope this helps someone! It's a sick monitor, but support for this particular issue seems to be lacking on LG's end. Thanks for the video.. I have the exact same monitor. Now I want another monitor to mount above or side hooked to same machine. Any suggestions? Do you know that LG also provide variety of softwares for split screen setup and dual controller setup. I am curious if you ever tried to set it up.
