Tech Byte i just bought mine yesterday by the way i live in japan luckily still have rubber case and wingtips. sad that other countries don't have now.
So i would not call myself an audiophile but i do have some experience with IEM's and Studio headphones, i know what a good headphone sounds like but am not to critical. So I ordered these to my new i phone because i thought a pair that i could plug and play without a dongle would be nice to always have as a backup to my qc35II. Sadly i send them back. The bass is way to much and not of good quality (and i like a lot of bass when i listen).they sound muffled and dark. The mids are none existent and in general it's not a clear headphone at all. Id recommend the Final E2000 or the Zero Audio Carbo Tenore or the Tin T2's wich are all cheaper. (If you like bass i would pick the E2000 out of the 3)
It’s debatable. Personally, I like these MUCH more than apple EarPods. The apple earbuds leak a lot of sound, so people around you can hear what you’re listening to. I also find the urBeats to isolate outside noise better and produce a much punchier bass. So if you’re into hip hop, rap, EDM etc, definitely get these. However, if you’re like my girlfriend, and you’ve tried MANY different earbuds and none of them seem to fit your ear properly EXCEPT the Apple EarPods, you’ll probably be better off investing in Apple EarPods. In my case however, the earbuds and the wingtips allowed for the perfect fit! Hope this helps. Cheers.

Ranvir I don’t know about the durability, but I had to send them back because they are not for working out lol. The wingtips didn’t keep them in place and it does not block out as much background noise. The sound is ok though.
Cpt Kush Mush No, you don’t have to worry about sound leakage unless if you’ve got it cranked all the way up! The rubber tips pretty much fill your entire ear canal so sound is pretty well isolated (good outside sound isolation, and not a lot of sound leakage). Nobody will be able to hear your music at 50% volume unless if the earbuds aren’t in your ears and the room is silent.
AFIQ ANWAR - it really depends how the beats fit in your ear! If it feels deep and snug, then it’ll definitely sound better than the Apple EarPods. It also isolated sound, unlike the EarPods. If it fits very loosely, then things like the bass and clarity will be diminished. However, they decreased the price down to $60, so it’s definitely worth a buy now!
Compared to the previous generation, yes they toned down the bass a lot, but for the majority of people, it’s still plenty of bass. If you’re a bass head though, you’ll be disappointed. It’s still punchy, but not earth shattering anymore like the previous generation urBeats
It really depends on how you treat them. If you yank the cable to unplug it from your phone, step on them by accident (or intentionally haha) often, or just treat them poorly in general, then it won't last too long (maybe half a year tops). But to be honest, if you unplug the cable properly (by not tugging the cord), store them properly and don't expose them to excessive amounts of water, then they should easily last you over a year+ :) Just my opinion. My old urbeats lasted me just over a year before one of the earbuds died and these new urbeats 3 feel even more durable than the old ones. But keep in mind Apple does have a one year warrantee for these, so if anything happens, you should be able to get them replaced. Maybe you can even find a valid reason to get them replaced before your warrantee ends so you can really extend the usage time ;)
anthony heywood sadly, the mic will not be compatible with PS4 controllers! You will still be able to hear the audio, but you won’t be able to talk to others. However, if you have something like a condenser mic, then it shouldn’t be an issue since you can just plug the earbuds into the condenser mic and use the condenser mic for voice chats while using the beats to listen to the audio

Ruslan Lau if you’re taking about sound quality, I’ve owned the urbeats 2 and currently have the 3 (lighting version) all have a strong focus on bass. The urbeats 3 have the deepest bass and u can hear the sub bass rumble while the latter has a kinda uneven boomy midbass which honestly doesn’t sound that pleasing. As for sensitivity, since beats never publish their specs, I can only make an educated guess based on my user experience and that would be somewhere around 105-110 dB.

I own both. urBeats3 for noise isolation, good bass, and better listening experience (imo), but AirPods for convenience and functionality!
