Hi, I have a question on your backpack. I feel like you once reccomended Mystery Ranch but when I went back it seems your only recommendation was Eberle Stock. If you did have a mystery ranch, could you state it here? I’m new to archery and hunting and looking for a backpack that’s quiet but holds more than 15 L
@@mustafam956 I had the MR pop up 28, absolutely loved it. But I started climbing without sticks so I didn’t need the load carrying features that one had. So I switched to an eberlestock bandit with the hip belt and it’s a bit lighter more simplistic. They have both been great, just depends on what you want to do with them. Thanks for commenting!
@@Outdoor-TacticsI really appreciate it dude. You clearly put a lot of effort and passion into these videos and want to make hunting and archery accessible to others. Those of us with no tradition of hunting rely on TH-cam haha. I’m still practicing shooting but we have a season till feb in Rhode Island so I’m hoping to try my luck before the season’s out!
@ best of luck and I’m glad you’re finding value in these videos!
I have one question on this. How does it work with you wearing glasses? I wear glasses also just kind of interested in that. That’s my problem. I’ve been having with all the rangefinders I’ve looked at. Haven’t looked at one of these yet, but just would like your feedback.
@@erroljohanning9625 works just fine, the diopter is adjustable for focus. So even if you switch it from person-to-person or glasses to no glasses, you can adjust it so that the target and reticle are in focus for your eye. Thanks for commenting!
Does nobody thank the lord and honour the animals sacrifice?
Every time.
For those of you who seem to find your s3lf at full draw and the deer won't move from behind a tree a neck shot it a great shot you can hit a arterie or spine or esophagus
Never heard that sound before. Sweet harvest, congrats.
used one this year during bow season. very nice rangefinder. bought one for my son for Christmas. Very good review.
@@jerome-jr5xo thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!
Cheapest Ruger American you can find. Then B&C stock, Timney trigger and a McGowan or X Caliber barrel. Bed the action and you’ve got an epic set up that’s probably under 1500.
@@andyeighttre Gotta love it man!
Dead eye😂
what broadhead you use?
@@fendyou17 black hornets. I have my whole arrow and bow build on the channel as well. Thanks!
The bottom pin being static doesn’t appeal to me. I prefer having pins being able to be set for my arrow speed. But, hey, if you’re killing deer with it, awesome!
@@timbow50 I’ve hunted with sliding pins before and liked them too. It’s just convenient that my sight tape lands at 20/35 so I’m very happy with it. Thanks for commenting!
love this sigh. I will never get rid of it.
@@basserbestt4063 thanks for the comment!
bro are you in ohio ?
Sadly yes 😎
@@Outdoor-Tactics that’s awesome me too wish I had more local archers near me lol
Hullo Sir. Is it true that the Hoyts can survive after a dry fire? Best regards from Italy.
Hard to say haha. Wouldn’t recommend testing it.
Wow. That is the first time I heard a deer scream when hit. Yikes😊
@@pamelapelech3249 not my favorite noise
Can’t argue with the results very lethal shot but man the bubble was buried to the left lol
@@poolhalljunkie55 noticed that after. Shooting downhill off a sloped surface is odd. But at 8 yards, I got away with it.
@ hey brother you said it at 8 yards you can about aim down the shaft but they are some great tutorials on TH-cam on how the set all the axes on your sight and that spot hog should have three might make you a little more accurate at long distance
@ oh the sight is definitely set first second and third axis already, I was just freaking out 😂
@ oh my bad I thought you said it was off a little on steep slopes and side hills I just miss read
Witch model is that
I very much enjoyed this review 🫡🙂
Thanks for watching!
I’m amazed at how not-shaky with adrenaline you are.
@@babyswole4511 it all hits me after the shot lol
Love seeing someone else hunting from the ground. Tree stand videos are tired
@@EliteEntertainment517 I switch it up to match my situation. I’d just spend about 10 hours in the saddle before getting down and moving to this spot. Ground hunting gets the blood pumping!
@ I agree not much of a better feeling than being down there, finding that ambush spot and having the plan come together. Congrats on your kill man. Keep the content coming!
It's rare I see a video they just drop usually gotta track em
Definitely not what I expected to happen, especially without any spine contact. I'll take it though!
Pretty coloring on him!
Nice. My dad jist got a piebald doe. It looks like shes wearing white socks all the way to her knees, even her hooves are solid white. Very unique doe
That's pretty crazy, my buck this year had some white speckling coming up his hooves and a couple tiny ones near his shanks. Pretty neat.
That never gets old
Nice
21:30 in the video this was how my very first bow kill went. When I found my arrow I saw green with what looked like food bits on it. I backed out and waited over night and went to track at first light. Thank God I found her due to no blood. But when I was cleaning her I found I hit one lung and liver and it exited out the guts cleaning the arrow of all blood making it look like a gut shot.
@@DarkGuardian94 thanks for the comment, sounds like you handled that perfectly.
God damn
That was a smooth shot..
Awesome man!!
@@DumBassFishn thanks!
Thank you for feeding my family
Nice shot dude!!
@@amysleeman8674 thank you much!
Shot bangers not dear
What a great harvest
Nice deer! Awesome job on the follow up as well. Good job
@@GCSimons Anytime there’s a follow up available I try to take it unless I see the deer starting to make its way to the ground. Thanks for watching!
You never forget the first time you hear that sound
@@takedowngaming3771 yeah it’s not my favorite, a quick follow up got her down and outta there inside a minute.
@@Outdoor-Tacticswhat is that sound?
Wear. At in ohio
@@Castingwithd Northeast Ohio
One of a kind nice buck congratulations
@@JohnMoseleyMoseley my biggest yet, thanks man!
Ive never heard one make that noise. Almost like a hog. Thats crazy. Beautiful shot and beautiful deer.
Way to go brother. I’m sure that wasn’t fun to hear or watch. Respect shown and respect gained.
And they say hunting from the ground is useless
Pretty sure no one says that.
One More Step ! Had a Monster come up 25 yards . He walked up the hill , Facing me . He finally stepped behind a big White Oak and I l Drew his head came from behind the tree and he stopped. My Draw was Silent. The wind was in my Favor . Just One More Step... that he Wouldn't Take ! You can only hold a compound bow for so long ...
Respect and love the fact there was no fist pumping and celebration. Respect for a life taken!!! True hunter
That's dumb. You don't get to decide the right way for someone to express themselves after an accomplishment like that. It's all a personal experience that you definitely don't get to judge.
Yep you do you
Atta baby
What kind of broadhead are you using? It went through the shoulder bone? Very interesting! The past few years i only take high shoulder shots with a rifle and have always wondered if a broadhead would punch through
@@Bionicbunnywabbit it missed the shoulder on the way in and went through the opposite one. I found it lodged against the hide. This was a black hornet broadhead with 100 grains of insert behind it. Did great in my opinion!
Don’t try it with a mechanical, but a somewhat heavy arrow with a sharp fixed blade will punch through
Awesome setup👍🏿
I’ve been using that setup for about 3 years now. It’s been a real workhorse. Cheers
Ground hunters respect.
Great video
@@kenbarker624 thanks!
I think using your rest to paper tune as apposed to making adjustments to the bow ie shim's, twisting the string's can be a bandaid fix for bow been out of tune, using your rest to make small adjustments but I also understand the cheaper bow have a little less adjustable. PS just came across your channel and I'm liking what I see, definitely worth a subscription.
I'll usually go into the shop twice yearly for a hardcore tune and try to avoid messing with the strings and cams. I may stop in to get timing checked, but typically, if something seems out of tune, I'll experiment with my rest to get the arrow flight I'm looking for. It's worked for me so far, but I can see a bow press in my future. There is a ton of info to be learned there. Thanks for the comment!
