People, do this the correct way. Spend 75 to 200 bucks on everything you need. The steps are very simple with the right equipment. Even that is much cheaper than replacing a cheap $600 refrigerator. This will never do the job right, and you may wind up with no refrigerator, or one that never works properly, which will shorten its lifespan even further. Remember, older refrigerators were made to last longer. If you have one in good shape, do it right. If yours is on its last leg, fine.

When did you bleed all the air out of your charging hose? This video is 8 months old so more than likely you have already replaced this system since you completely ruined it.

I love the way , he is explaining every detail on how to get this done something I am not very good at. This can have your refrigeration working in no time, this will get it running for quite a while again. Keep in mind that once you have a leak in a refrigerator, it is the beginning of the end to that unit. It is either old, try to look, for green corrossion in the lines, these tipically have a leak.. You will find a leak spot right under them... So you would know where to fix.

They probably failed because there's zero insulation on any of the pipes.

Don't let all of the TH-cam trolls get to you with their ill-gotten comments. ♦️ This is exactly the way you should charge your system. ♦️ The bullet piercing valve is not a temporary service valve it is a permanent service valve. I do agree with one of the comments about unscrewing the puncture screw again. The reason I say that is because the cap you put back on has the service valve on it and it is designed not to leak. ♦️ As far as purging the system or evacuating this system before you added freon it would be a complete waste of time. If you have a small leak in your refrigerator what little air gets in it will leak out again anyway. ♦️ I have been adding freon to my wife's truck for the past 7 years and I have never evacuated the system, I have to add about 1 and 1/2 cans of freon every summer. ♦️ The only way you should evacuate or Purge your system is if you break open a line for some type of replacement or repair work. Otherwise there is no need to purge your system just because you are adding freon. ♦️ If it wasn't for TH-cam videos like yours we would be left completely without any source of information with various results.

You just needed to keep the old pads in there while you use a screw driver or C clamp to depress pistons.

For future servicing recover old refridgerant check for leaks by pumping in dry nitrogen to 100psi and check with leak detector or use soap bubbles and pull a vacuum to 500 microns and charge with liquid using a scale for accuracy id recommend fitting an access valve

Bullet piercing valve is a temporary service valve. You should attach it to the process stub and crimp just below than braze.

Yup sucked in all that air from the hoses and with such a small system that was a lot. This is why sometimes TH-cam videos are the worst source of info. This is NOT how you charge your system also after you put the cap on the the bullet fitting you need to unscrew the puncture screw again to avoid restricting the flow. If your fridge is leaking and you recharge it, it is just going to leak all out again, you need to find and fix the leak or at least add a stop leak product. This was a waste of time, money and bad for the environment.

You did not bleed the air out the charging hose. That is very important, not to get air in the system

I hate to tell you that isn’t even the correct mandrel for that bit. The correct mandrel is larger and had two prongs that fit into the holes on the back of the hole saw. If used correctly, that mandrel required no tools to change from one hole saw to another. Yes it costs more money. The mandrel you have I think is designed for smaller hole saws.

From your video, it's evident that you are an automotive enthusiast. It also suggests that you have either no or minimal formal training. I noticed a bottle jack, but there were no jack stands in sight, except for a big rock. Judging from the video, it doesn't seem safe at all. The car can be replaced, but your family cannot replace you. Your safety should always be your top priority. Especially when it comes to working underneath a vehicle. Happy wrenching

The grey pipe is called poly butylene and is no longer used. As you pointed out there are crimp couplings that will transition from poly b to pex and once you have it into pex you cost of the 90’s and tees is much cheaper than. If you have a lot of poly b to replace buy yourself a crimp tool and do all your repairs with that as it will be cheaper and more reliable than shark bite. Shark bites are a great thing for a small job like this but don’t be re piping your house with them!

Good video, I couldn't find one about just the front brakes without any extras until I came across yours. It's been Years sense I messed with it, and wasn't sure if I had to take the calipers off to change the pads, or if I could just slip them out. Your video really helped.

The white wire is not a neutral wire, there are no neutral wires on a regular switch. This is a switch loop where the white wire is used as a hot (switch leg return to the light) wire. In older homes sometimes the metal box is grounded with wires attached to the outside back of the box. This can be verified with a multimeter and if it's grounded you'll get approximately 120v between the box and the hot wire.

You have the Hot wire facing the wrong direction. While it works, you should make it go with the tightening of the screw. This way it won't come loose.
